A first rate stay in a small family run inn. This converted windmill is clean and easy to reach by #2 tram from Charles Bridge/foot of the castle area. The inn keeper Blanca was super helpful with directions, the attached restaurant had the best food we ate in Prague. Great water pressure for the shower, firm mattresses and electric kettles. Hair dryer in the bathroom but no toiletries. Would definitely recommend.
We had lovely time at Pension Vetrnik. The rooms were authentic and very comfortable. The breakfast was homemade and great and so was diner in the evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Great accomodation if you visit Prague by car. Free parking! Public transport is cheap and around the corner of the pension. You can buy a ticket in the bus/tram and you are in the heart of Prague in 20 minutes. Would come again!
What a wonderful place to stay. There are only 6 rooms at this B&B, so you need to reserve ahead. Blanca and her staff are so accommodating. It’s outside the main tourist zone, so it’s a nice place to get away from all the crowds. The restaurant has fantastic local dishes that are reasonably priced and you can’t go wrong with the breakfast.
My mom and I stayed for 2 nights at Pension Vetrnik on our 3 week travel through Europe and absolutely loved it! Blanca and her staff were such gracious hosts....we honestly can not say enough about Blanca! She went over and above for us when we stayed...giving us lots of tips, calling us a cab early in the morning and even sending us a nice packed breakfast for the train trip. The Pension is about 15 mins by bus from the city centre (you don't even need to transfer buses), which we did not find to be an issue at all. The history of the building with all the stone work and turret is spectacular! We got a great sleep each night, as it was nice and quiet, and in the morning breakfast was fresh and you were able to choose from one hot breakfast option as well as the typical European breakfast items. The only thing that people may have an issue with is that there are no elevators in most of the older buildings in Europe and this is the case here, so you have to walk up some flights of stairs with your luggage. There is also a restaurant on site which lots of locals frequented. We decided to eat here our last night before we packed up and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and great atmosphere with all the locals eating here. We will come back to stay here on our next trip to Prague! Thank you so much Blanca!!…
Lovely Pension in a gorgeous setting, just a short 15 minute tram ride from the centre. Lovely food, breakfast included cereal, fruit, bread, cheese, yoghurt and then something cooked! We had a couple of evening meals there and they were delicious with great service.
