Just returned from a 4 night night stay here, and we found the hotel to be perfect for our trip to Prague. Close to all the main area's we wanted to visit, whilst being just outside the centre of everything to ensure a good nights sleep. Our room was very large and for the size of it , also very...

I stayed at the Hotel Roma for 11 nights in February 2017. It is in an excellent location, just a short walk to famous Charles Bridge and a short tram ride (via tram #22) to the magnificent Prague Castle. Other popular tourist attractions such as Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square are similarly easy to reach. The free breakfast was...

We booked into this so called 4 star hotel Last Sunday late, staff very helpful. Room however appalling.plaster off the ceiling where people had banged their heads, because of the extremely sloping ceiling, Quasimodo would had extreme difficulty in getting into the right hand bed. water damaged outer wall, shower screen off the rollers. Think hard before you book this...

The hotel is well located and within walking distance to the main attractions. The room was clean and a decent size. The shower/bath worked well after a long day! Breakfast was good with a nice amount of options. The only real negative was the wifi, the signal was good but the connection speed was very slow. Overall a good option...

Pleasant hotel situated in Mala Strana the opposite side of the river from the Old Town but literally 5 minutes walk from The Charles Bridge. Rooms a little dated but very large and clean. We were disturbed by a rowdy group in the next room but security dealt with the issue when asked.Breakfast was varied and ample in provision, continental...

We had a fantastically size en-suite room with tea (but not coffee!) making facilities. Plenty of wardrobe space and a room safe. Room was warm and quiet. Ample hot water. Breakfast was fairly extensive but could be chaotic if busy owing to some pillars (not that the hotel can help that!). Friendly reception. Would be nice to have coffee, and...

Location is excellent. Not in the thick of all the tourist activity on the other side of the River but a very short walk from it. About 7 mins walk to Charles Bridge, a half hour slow stroll to the Castle at the top of the hill, right opposite the walk or train to the top of Petrin Hill etc...

By the time we entered the border of Prague i am already impressed by the biometric system they have in place. No long queues and waiting. Hotel Roma is ideal location coz its pretty much in the center of most of the tourist spots. The room was very spacious. Although it has thin walls that you can hear the toilet...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
