Our hostel is located in very historical center of Prague, between the Charles Bridge and the Prague Castle, in the baroque palace from the 17th century, the former residence of baroque architect Jan Blazej Santini. In 1705, he bought Valkounský house (no. 211) in Nerudova street for 3000 gold coins in cash and rebuilt it. 300 years later you have the opportunity to stay in the same palace...Entire palace was expertly renovated so you can still admire painted ceilings or original arches. Hostel is not centrally located as opposed to description across platforms. During booking, value of stay quoted in Euros but the accepted mode of payment is only cash and only CZK (koruna currency). ATM situated right outside the hostel. Secured hostel with sufficient security measures for even late night parties. Hostel staff was very helpful with directions to various locations and pub crawl guides. Kitchen was neat, clean with 24*7 coffee supply available. Dormitories were neat, clean and quite spacious. Didn't feel suffocated.

What a Hostel...simply amazing. For the location in Mala Strana, sitting right below the Prague Castle, next street being without doubt the most beautiful street in entire prague - next to a major tram stop, not that you need transport in prague, every cool thing in prague is walking distance. The hostel itself - a UNESCO 18th century building is a testament to retaining the foundation and history while making it suited to modern living. Spotless, and with the BEST staff ever. Now the most important bit that makes it tick - the staff! You would be hard pressed to find more friendly and helpful people. I was fortunate to come across Alessandra (herself from Brasil) whenever I was coming in or going out, and she always made time to answer my whatever questions, made suggestions for potential next day Prague itineraries...and so on. It just made my stay so much more nicer. It is so hard to crtique anything really. If I must, then I would say that for a set of 2 dorms with 10 beds on the 4th floor, having a single WC-Shower was a bit of a trouble. But then thats the fun of a hostel living as well. I just started to wake up earlier to have a peaceful shower :) The café is so well appointed, that one of the evenings a couple walking on the outside thought that it was a restaurant, and came in and asked one of the guests at the hostel, who happened to be making tea for himself - if they could order something :D Tea Coffee is free throughout, they have a free basic breakfast that includes a ham or veg. sandwich. If you are going to Prague, just dont bother staying anywhere else. I don't what will make any other hostel or hotel be any better.

Amazing hostel for what it costs! I stayed there in July for a couple nights with two of my friends and we had a great experience. Prime location, next to many touristic places (namely the Charles Bridge, walking distance). The receptionist we found when we got there (Mel, I believe) gave us some useful tips concerning currency exchange, as she warned us about some crooks that we actually came across later and we were able to avoid them thanks to her tips. I totally recommend.

Well maintained , clean ,safe ,well priced and organized hostel situated quite close to Charles bridge . The compilmentary breakfast was not great but alright and the staff was pretty nice too .My problems with the hostel would be that it is a more of a hotel than a hostel with not much of a social vibe to it and it doesn't have activities during the evening like other more social hostels have in this area.Great chill out hostel though if you are not in a mood for lots of socializing.

Well starting with the good, the staff at this place were very nice and helpful! Nothing but great things to say about that. Location as well was excellent - close to the Charles bridge, castle and not too far a walk to old town. But I would not stay here again for the following reasons: 1) We were on the top floor and the rooms were very hot throughout the night even though the windows were wide open all day. 2) Because it’s hot and the windows are open the noise travels up from the lobby courtyard, which is encased in glass but that doesn’t seem to do anything. Given the groups of loud tourists coming back in the early hours this would wake us up/keep us awake throughout the night. 3) The beds were very uncomfortable and made a lot of noise if you shifted around at night. 4) The WIFI in the rooms on the top floor was terrible and would drop the signal. The hostel should invest in another router.
