Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was picked up at the airport as prearranged before hand by the wonderful Mr. Duldash,a young man with fantastic hosting skills that helped me through my entire stay.He speaks fluently Czech and Russian as well as very good English. Without him I would have been lost and my trip may be only half good. My room # 13 has a pretty view, very quiet and a nice modern bathroom with stall shower.Fluffy towels and crisp bed linens. Breakfast always very abundant with delicious cold cuts, assorted bread, good cereals, fruits, sweet cakes or donuts and good tasty coffee and teas. The food in the restaurant is great, sort of what you would eat in a typical Czech home. I loved the chicken schnitzel with mashed potatoes, home made soups and crisp fresh salads. Everybody I came in contact in the hotel was extremely pleasant and willing to help. Although the location is away from the noisy crowded expensive center of Prague the peace and quiet of the area and affordable rates make this hotel a great place to stay. Very good for families with children but since it doesn't have a lift not so good for handicapped people. Trains run about a hundred feet away with an station right there out of view from the hotel and you can be in the center of town in about 15 to 20 minutes.A taxi ride is very inexpensive and much quicker. Beware of taxi drivers, they love to overcharge tourist! Have the hotel call AAA Taxi with a preset fare price ( add the tip if you like him of course). The entire hotel has been freshly painted and has a pub at the entrance where smoking is allowed (and believe me, smoking is rampant in central Europe even in most restaurants and public areas. This hotel offers smoke free rooms thankfully. I will return in August or September when the weather is much nicer..

I was picked up at the Airport as prearranged via email and taken to the hotel by a very friendly kind and accommodating young man by the name of Juldash. He made my stay so much better by facilitating my every question or problem I might have had.The rest of the staff was equally helpful and kind. I had a large room for 2 for single use very comfortable and clean besides quiet and warmly decorated ( just like home ). Modern bathroom with shower fluffy towels and plenty of heat. Breakfast was very good with all kind of breads, donuts, cold cuts, cereals, delicious coffee or tea, eggs and sausages as well as yogurts fresh fruits and ham and eggs freshly prepared in the hotel's kitchens. The hotel is been refurbished in the outside but maintains the old world charm of a bygone era. Not a fuzzy or stuck up place very well priced and across the street from the train station a few stops from the center of Prague.Several bus lines service the immediate area to malls and other attractions. Great for families or business travelers on a budget. The hotel huge main hall is usually booked for large parties, conventions, weddings, shows and business meetings. A pub style bar at the entrance offers plenty of choices for drinkers ( and smokers). The rest of the hotels hallways rooms and stairs luckily are smoke free. Wifi available everywhere.

It's a bit far from the city centre, but if you have a car it's okay! They have a free parking by the way. The rooms are decent, but not really stylish or anything. There is a playground and a lot of kids so it's a fantastic hotel for families with children. The breakfast was really nice. Overall, it's not a splendid hotel, but a decent one.

A good hotel for a city trip! The rooms and beds are comfortable. The staff is busy, but mostly friendly. There is an parking place and a good connection to the city of Prague. The breakfast is tasty with a good coffee and even fresh fruits. In the evening you can have a beer in the hotel's pub or patio. The restaurant offers tasty dishes for a low price.

This hotel is quite nice, about 30 minutes from the center of Prague. It is clean, and well kept. The staff is friendly and responsive to requests. I especially like the bar and it's great and inexpensive Czech beer on tap. It's a hotel I would definitely return to.

We went there in February 2015 and we had a great experience! The hotel was cheap, and what is most important, it was very clean and location is good, although it is not exactly in Prague. There is a very cheap train (two return tickets are 81ck which is around 3€), the station is 1 min walk from the hotel, and it takes you directly to the city center in 12 min.It goes every 15 min on work days and every 30 min on weekends. The room in the hotel was very nice and clean and breakfast was also good. The prices at the hotel's pub/restaurant are very low and they have the best goulash (Check national food) we have ever eaten.Pancakes are great too! The only disadvantage was rather bad sleeping quality since there was a wedding party downstairs and people were very noisy so we couldn't sleep. The second night was similar, since they had another party. However, I really liked the hotel and they have a nice garden, so I am sure it's even nicer in summer. I definitely recommend the hotel!

This hotel has a lot of character. It is located in a neighborhood for starters, and a lot of the neighbors come here to drink beer and eat dinner. There is a large dining/dance hall as well as a small pub in the front of the hotel, and a patio area to the side. The breakfast served was good offering cereals, fruits, breads/pastries, coffee, juices, and some hot food items. There is no elevator and all the rooms are at least 2 flights up. We were on the 3rd floor so 4 flights. The rooms needed some renovating--we had a water stain on our ceiling. All the door knobs were very old and unique. The room had a lot of character--2 chairs with a TV/sitting area and we had twin beds. The closet door needed a lot of help to open, and the bathroom had a shower and sink. The towels were thin, but there was ample hanging areas. I saw several rooms and each one was a bit different. Overall, it was a very interesting place.

I stayed here with a large group (43 travelers) in July 2013. The hotel was clean and in a safe area. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was pretty good. The rooms on the top floor (3) were way too hot and there was no AC. I would suggest asking for a room in the front of the building or on the lower floor. This is not very close to Prague. It is in a small town a drive away. You will need a car to get around.

I arrived in Prague for urgent business without reservations in the center but I remembered my great experiences in the Svornost earlier on so I decide to take a chance. Great location close to the center and with a train station right across the street ( I never tried public transportation in Prague but I was told by other guests it's excellent). Taxi is very cheap to wherever you want to go. They might arrange airport pick up for you if you email in advance. As usual they found me a room even when almost full to capacity and it was very clean, well appointed with all the modern conveniences and very quiet . Bathroom was very clean, modern and soft fresh towels. Dinner was very good and homemade just like it's made for myself at home, with all the pampering of the well trained staff that remembered me from my prior stays. My breakfast was ideal, I eat only whole grain breads because I'm diabetic, coffee was unusually good for CZ. and the cold cuts, fruits and pates excellent. They were also tempting cakes and cookies but sugar and flour didn't allowed me to enjoy then (but none of their fault). The front desk help was ever so pleasant and accommodating like all the other times and found me all sort of sightseeing trips after I was done with business. There is a very popular and joyful bar on the entrance but the smoke permeates the place so I had to pass on it although there were lots of people cheering and having lots of fun ( I envy them but the smoke is s no no for me...). The prices are excellent for a budget hotel and you get as much as you would get in a 3 stars Prague 1 hotel for 4 times the price. Mind you this is not for picky demanding people with an eye for luxury or looking for a boutique hotel with a spa and 5 stars restaurant. Basic yes, inexpensive, well located, friendly staff, clean, very safe and family oriented too but you can't ask for miracles for the low prices. I love it.
