Very stylish, but not overpriced at all. Great location, within a 10 mins walk to river side. Excellent for a morning run, and with local transport of trams and train very close. beer Bar next door, was also fantastic.
Cleaning top notch, staff extremely helpful and friendly, especially upon checking in, with a thorough run thru of map and recommendations. Only criticism would be that the room got extremely hot and we had to open windows regularly, even with heaters turned down and it about 7 degrees outside. Overall, a lovely place to stay 4 nights exploring one of the most beautiful cities. Would definitely recommend.

We read the great reviews, and were not disappointed. The hotel is so cute. Full of unique decorations, updated and modern, yet hangs onto the old charm. Comfortable pillows, instant hot water, windows that open for fresh air, and plenty of lighting and storage with a cute sitting area. Everyone of the staff are so pleasant, helpful, and multi-lingual.

We never got bored of the breakfast. It had so many options that anyone should find something they like, even without hot food. Their coffee machine is fabulous, plus the rooms have a Nespresso type machines. They provide main-fridges, robes, slippers, hair dryer, soaps and lotion, and complimentary water and snacks.

Public transportation is right out the door but we walked most places because old town, Vysehrad Castle, and the Main Train Station are all within a 20 min walk.

Lovely place that I would recommend to anyone. Made a wonderful city even better for us.

We stayed at Miss Sophie’s for 3 nights and we loved it! The staff were friendly, it was lovely and clean and we loved the room; little touches made it feel unique and personal. The bed was comfy and huge, we both slept well every night! The shower was great, and nice toiletries were provided. The location was great - there were loads of nice restaurants and bars nearby, and it was only 10 minutes into the old town. The hostel across the road has a lovely bar with super cheap drinks! Would definitely recommend.

I had somewhere else booked for our 3 nights in Prague, but as I monitored the revues, I decided to change and found this place. I'm so glad we changed as this was a brilliant find. Friendly, efficient, and professional staff, spotlessly clean room, and a great breakfast. Left our bags in the storage because we were early but the girl checked us in to save doing it later. The room was spotless and a decent size. Breakfast is served over the road as in like 10 metres directly across the road. The staff in here are great. You get to choose how you want your eggs, then you get bacon sausage, tomatoes etc. There's also all your continental stuff too. It's fantastic and all in a cosy set up. We also called in here for some drinks on our way out and they have 3 different beers on along with some cocktails and spirits. Walking distance to Wencelas Square is about 5 minutes and the main square is probably about 20 minutes. Charles Bridge is about 30 minutes. It is in the perfect spot. The room was also totally quiet for a good night's sleep on the comfy beds. Brilliant place and highly recommended.

From the moment I walked in, I could not have asked for a warmer welcome. All the advice I could want about Prague itself, about the hotel and the room, the spa etc. was all provided and I felt welcomed, comfortable and relaxed as soon as I arrived.

The room itself was well-appointed and comfortable, quiet and stylish. Little touches like shower gel, nespresso pods etc. all taken care of. Really impressive.

The spa is highly recommended! What a way to soak away the inevitable sore feet from all the walking in the beautiful city of Prague.

The only slight downside is that the breakfast room is across the road so you have to put your coat and shoes on to have breakfast, which some people may not enjoy, but was no problem, and when you get there the breakfast is excellent with lots of choice and a comfortable room.

The overall impression I was left with was the warmth and dedication of the staff - they were so brilliant, and I will definitely return if I venture to Prague again.

We had a great stay at Miss Sophie's as a family of 4. We stayed in the quad room, which had 2 bunk beds and it's own bathroom. It was a bit tight, but we only slept there. Breakfast was lovely and included in the price. The staff were the friendliest I have seen in a while. They went out of their way to smile and say hi. The location is close to all the sites with a 10-minute tram ride to the centre or a 30-minute walk. Would stay again for sure!

I booked a room with Miss Sophie's for a 4 night stay with my fiance. The staff were always on hand to help and very welcoming. Great to have breakfast included every morning, and with the beautiful weather we were lucky to eat in the garden area most days. The room was a reasonable size with plush, oversized pillows and air con that made it a relaxing haven after a busy day exploring Prague. Located in a fantastic position with popular sites in walking distance, including the Dancing House. 100% recommend!!

Hotel looked good in the add for it. We where a family of 3 persons and got a 4 bed room. The add promised soundproof room with AC and internet. It was listed as 4 stars hotel.

Reality was room in the reception with no soundproofing. Could here all conversasions and comotion fron reception. The door was about 2 meters away from it. Bunkbeds hostel style and such. No breakfast at the acctual hotel, this one needed to go accros the steet to the acctual hostel (!) for. The AC needed to be started from reception so one had to go out there everytime one wanted an adjustment. First nigth was hot like owen, hard to fall assleep since all noises bleed in to the room. Early to awake because of same issue.

After first nigth of three i asked if we could get another room since it was to noisy in there. That was not possible since this was the room we paid for was the answer. So the fact that room was not as advertised was not an issue to them.

All in all we paid for 4 star hotel, but ended up with hostel living with bunkbeds insted (not that the beds where the problem). Thats not what i was aiming for. would bot recomend for families or people who want to sleep in silence.

Plus for the friendly reseptionist that second day found us a contoller so that we could at least operate the AC in the room ourselves.

We stayed 8 days in this hotel and really enjoyed it! It is well located in walking distance from restaurants and public transportation (I.P. Pavlova). We were also close to one of the Christmas Markets. Staff was very helpful in providing directions and recommendations. The price included breakfast which was a very rich buffet with hot and cold items. The room was small but very clean with snacks and water and coffee and tea all complementary! What a lovely touch! Thank you for your hospitality!

We stayed at Sophie's New Town for three nights and we had a great time here. The warm and friendly staff at Sophie's gave us personal attention and all our requests were met.

The hotel is easily reachable from the city by public transport. It is located in a quiet lane and we did get to sleep well here. Our room was quaintly decorated and well stocked with abundant toiletries and little sweet treats. They provide clean bathrobes and a lovely coffee machine in the room. They even restocked the coffee capsules everyday which was a delight.

The breakfast was decent with lots of fruits and cheese. We had a early flight to catch on the day of check out. The staff was kind enough to pack us nice breakfast bags to take away.

The personal attention is definitely the highlight of Sophie's. Loved staying here and we would be coming back for sure.

And is it a hotel or hostel?
Answer from 23KSA

Hi, it is both! On one side of the street is the Miss Sophie's Hotel and on the other side is the Hostel which has the breakfast area used by both places. I stayed in the hotel and loved the very private room. Suggest you check with them depending on your needs.
Answer from Ana K
Portland, Oregon15 contributions7 helpful votes
They have a hotel which we stayed in, and their hostel is right across the street. Our hotel room was beautiful with a double bed, and a large bathroom just for us. I imagine that the hostel across the street has shared bathrooms and bedrooms, and breakfast for both the hostel and hotel are across the street in the hostel. Just make sure that you are booking at Miss Sophie's Hotel rather than Miss Sophie's Hostel and you should be good to go :)

We took a cab from the airport because of luggage, late arrival, not sure where we were, etc. BUT be sure it is a cab and not the private car service that will charge you an addl 30 more but claim they are taxi. After you arrive it is very easy to get to and from via the tram/metro (you can buy tickets at the hotel). Enjoy
