Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The location is not that much bad (from the Wenceslas Square it is like 10 minutes of walk). Breakfasts were average. The design of the hotel is like 1970's - 1980's. Only two elevators for this quite a big building (6 floors). Staff do not speak German. Quite thin walls, weak pressure of hot water (at least) in higher floors. In our opinion for such a design and low level comfort and furnishing the prices should be lower.

You get what you pay for, very basic but comfortable, warm and very friendly helpful staff. Convienent for most tourist spots. I have stayed in higher rated Hotels that weren't as good. Will happily return. Special mention to the very helpful lady night clerk

The hotel has improved so much. Rooms are clean and spacious. Friendly staff and feels very local. The price was excellent too. I’m a titanium elite from Marriott, this is comparable to courtyard or four point in certain aspects in terms of cleanliness and standard. It does not have all the amenities you expect from big brands, but as an independent hotel, I think Legie does a fantastic job. I’m very happy with this stay. Take a look at all other reviews I’ve done, and u know I’m not just an imposter or a fake reviewer, but a genuine staying guest. I approved this hotel! Let those bad reviews from the past be their past. They have corrected a lot of things already.

Great location, paid £20 a night, 11 of us in 5 rooms, clean, yes dated but what do you want for that money. Open 24/7, beds not too bad, would book there again. Rooms have a tv, safe, cleaned daily, have chairs and a table. Do not get the bad reviews I read before I went, there’s nothing wrong with this place

We came as a group for 3 nights at £20 a night, the Ritz it is not. However, all of our rooms were clean and spacious if not a little dated. Beds were comfortable. We didn’t eat here but you are surrounded by the usual eateries Starbucks, Costa etc. can’t understand people that leave scathing reviews for a budget hotel ‘you get what you pay for’

Me and one of my friends stayed here and moved out after 3 hours. We were two girls traveling alone and had a man try to break into our room, after we brought it to the front desks attention they did nothing. Additionally we asked the front desk to escort us to our room because we didn't feel safe and they straight up said no. Do not stay here if you aren't traveling with men.

I was in Prague for the first time last week, a few friends accompanied me as I was having lens replacement surgery on my eyes. Hotel Legie was a great place to stay, we had nice rooms, absolutely nothing to complain about, a special mention for Barbara the receptionist, she was lovely, even re- bandaged my eye, she was so helpful, the hotel was ideally situated very close to the metro, & everything went smoothly. If I returned to Prague I would definitely rebook the Legie as my first option, excellent value for money, don't bother to read any negative reviews, you get what you pay for, & its very good value for money.

Stayed here in December '21 for a Christmas break - incidentally Prague is gorgeous at Christmas. Check in was swift and painless, nice pleasant lady on reception checked us in quickly without any fuss. As others have mentioned, the lift is unusually slow but it gets you there... eventually. The rooms are .. interesting. They appear to have not been touched since the late 70s - old and very dated furniture and decor - a modern hotel this is not. Our room consisted of a double bed and two single beds - great for a larger group. The beds were firm but comfortable. The room was nicely heated, essential given the minus 3 temperatures outside! The bathroom was tiny but functional. Breakfast was available - it was a bit disappointing to be honest. Weak coffee and a very limited selection of options. The only hot thing you can get are European style red sausage - on one day there was some bacon but this appeared to be the last few scraps of what had been put out. Those expecting scrambled eggs and lots of hot options will be disappointed. That being said, you can whip up a small bite to eat before you head out. Location wise this place is great - nearby you have a McDonalds, Burger King, Starbucks and a KFC. You can easily walk into town without any issue. If you head for the river out of the hotel you will get to the 'Dancing House' which is both worth a photo and a visit. Overall, this hotel is exceptionally basic however when in a city like this you literally tend to use it to shower and sleep in so I was very happy and I'd have no issue staying here again were I to revisit Prague. Worth a go.

Very unfriendly cancel policy. Because of new COVID-19 restrictions i was unable to visit Prague, so i tried to cancel my booking without fee, but hotel cancelled my request and i lost my money. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.
