I came back to Czech republic for a couple days. I booked this hotel by internet. It was a quiet and clean hotel. Every day were clean towels. Excellent breakfasts and varied dinners. I had nice vacation in Prague. I come back next time!

I booked this place to stay the night after I arrived from US and the night before I returned to the US at the other end of my trip. I specifically chose the hotel location for its quiet location and value, so I knew that it was not in the center of town, but it is easy to take the...

We had a lovely time in Goldentree. Very near the centre of Prag, 5 min walking distance from the castle and in the romantic Novy Svet, though the guest house is very quiet and in front of a nice, small park. A tram stop is also nearby (tram line to city centre). The guest house is small and the room...

I am very unhappy with this hotel. I booked two nights over a month before my trip. All booking was ok. Arrived on Saturday 25th of Sept at 2pm hotel was closed, tried at 3pm, then again 4pm, called all possible numbers no answer. Never received any email saying that there were any problems with my booking or hotel being...

I came in September for my 10th wedding anniversary and stayed at the Golden Tree along with a group of friends. We took up 3 pensions in total, and I have got to say it was soley the best weekend we have had EVER! The main pension was where we ate breakfast and saw to the payment, and the lady...

I booked a stay with golden tree apartments in Prague over the New Year through prague30.com. On arrival the woman who runs goldentree infomed us that we could not stay there and without giving an explanation as to why she sent us in a taxi to an alternative accomodation which she said was 'around the corner'. It turned out to...

Management response:

Dear Guest, I am very sorry you disliked your accommodation so much. I am sorry to note that if you read our website more carefully you might be less frustrated. It clearly says: " we also accommodate guests in apartments and rooms nearby". In line with this information, you were accommodated in the Hartl Pension which is half-mile far from...

Well, this guest house is in a good location and the room was spacious. Here endeth the praise for the guest house 'At Golden Tree' . We never made it to breakfast so I cannot comment on that. It is very difficult to get accomodation in Prague for a decent price, and this place is affordable and seemed good, and...

Dear Guest, Frankly speaking I do not remember you, but I have to comment on your review. You claim we had bedbugs although you cannot prove it.If you cannot prove it, you should not make statements like that. We had NEVER any bed bugs at all. If there is anything true in your lenghty description then I would guess you...

I originally attempted to book one of the apartments here by contacting Dum U Zlateho Stromu directly by email. Neither email that I sent reqesting to book was answered however. At this point I should have known better, but because the photos and description I had seen online were so appealing, I ended up booking an apartment here online through...

We stayed at the Golden Tree for just one night in late August. It was a lovely cosy pension tucked away in Novy Svet which is just above the castle. It is a small house with about four rooms, a communal kitchen and a communal shower/toilet. We didn't expect the communal bit but other than that it was lovely. In...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
