3 friends from London booked a week at the Sadova in Gdansk last week. It was a wonderful holiday. The hotel is a 5 minute easy stroll from Dlugi Targ- the centre of Gdansk. It was spotlessly clean, with a superb breakfast. The rooms were clean and roomy with comfortable beds. 50 tv channels. The area is very quiet. There is adequate secure parking . They have bikes for hire, and provide umbrellas in the rooms, fluffy robes and slippers. There is a really delightful warm pool, and a well equipped gymn. The young staff are efficient, intelligent, and good at solving problems- they sorted out a car hire problems for us effortlessly. This is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Poland, and we have been coming for the last 15 years all over the country.

Nice hotel with a very good location and delicious breakfast but we arrived on Saturday and left on Wednesday and not once during our stay was the room cleaned!

On Sunday evening after coming back from the city we found our room not to be cleaned. We called the reception and they told us the cleaners had already left but would come in the morning. The lady from reception was really nice and brought us fresh towels and some toilet paper.

The next morning (Monday) we left a "please clean up" sign on the door. Yet again in the evening we came back to a room not cleaned, wet towels still on the bathroom floor, bed unmade and used coffee cups. I called the reception and they were very sorry but the cleaners had already left. Yet again we got new towels. We were promised our room would be cleaned the next morning at 11 am.

On Tuesday we left the room at 10.30 am and run into a cleaner on the corridor. We asked her if she could clean our room as she was currently cleaning the room few door down and wrote our room number on a piece of paper. She was super friendly and promised to do it within an hour. Before we left for the day we also reminded the reception, that during the previous two days our room was left uncleaned and the wet towels and trash are starting to pile up. Guess what? On Tuesday evening we came back to an uncleaned room. We went downstairs to the reception to pick up some towels, water and toilet paper. The lady at the reception was very friendly and sorry about the situation and told us the manager would contact us as soon as she would arrive in the morning. According to the receptionist their policy is to clean the rooms every day.

We checked out on Wednesday morning. It is now Friday night and we have still not been contacted. It's not the end of the world but in a small room four days worth of wet towels and bath robes (hello spa), trash and uncleaned coffee cups start to smell rather fast. Also who doesn't love to dive in into a ready made hotel bed after a long day in the city.

To end with a positive note the hotel was close / within walking distance of everything, we really enjoyed the spa/sauna area, the breakfast was delicious and staff was very friendly.

Stayed here for 5 days. Friendly helpful welcome from reception. Modern comfy bar area with drinks reasonably priced. Rooms good size, clean with everything you would need. (Including bathrobe & umbrella!).Never seen a buffet breakfast like this before. What a selection! Cereals, yoghurts, smoothies, continental meats, sausages, bacon, eggs, any drink you desire-including hot lemonade. Selection of bread, rolls, croissants & cakes & a chocolate fountain with fruit. 🍇 🍈 🍉. Clean swimming pool with small sauna, which is nice to relax in after a day of walking around town. Definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

We could not give this more than 3 stars due to our bad night's sleep at this hotel. The bed was extremely uncomfortable as the mattress was extremely hard. We had to put extra duvets on top to ensure we slept. We had to ask for more pillows as they were flat and did not support your head. The cleaning of the room was a bit hit or miss. 1 day our room was not cleaned at all, next day just towels changed then the following day as you would expect in a hotel.

The breakfast had a wide variety of food and drinks. The leisure facilities were good to use after exploring Gdansk which is a beautiful city. The location was good and was walkable to all tourist attractions. The room was spacious. Had large toiletries of soap and shampoo/shower gel. Which was good as was very environmentally friendly. It would be good if they had large bottles of body lotion and conditioner in the bathroom.

We got a Uber back to the airport which was only 38 zloty considerably cheaper than hotel arranged transfer.

I couldn't recommend this hotel for a comfortable night's sleep which is a shame as everything else was good about the hotel. I recommend the hotel to improve the bedding and toliet facilities to improve the customers stay and comfort.

Visually a very nice hotel in a good location to the centre of town and attractions. Very nice pool and bar area. The rooms itself are nice and modern and appear to have what you need. There’s some negatives though. We had a problem with the shower head not staying up when we arrived. It was fixed relatively quick but it did take two attempts to someone to come sort it. The shower itself was powerful which was good until mid shower it decided to change its temperature without touching it. Sometimes it would scald you, sometimes freeze you. Not great if you’ve a child for instance. The bed itself was ok. Not as bad as other people have stated. One dreadfully thin pillow each with no spares tucked away anywhere though. There was bath robes for going to the pool which doubled up as nicely as a pillow. Got to improvise. Oh and the room was roasting. Outside temperature between 0-5 degrees and 2 windows open permanently making little difference. It’s a 4* hotel, swimming pool itself and general decor make it 4*. Little touches like a mini bar and free water daily are good to have available and again help it get its 4*. Too many little things that I’ve mentioned just let it down.

Best hotel i ever tried in Poland. The swimmingpool area, was in another level - 5 stars!
Good breakfast - with many choices. Welcomming reception, who speak good english and help if needed. Most important for me, was the cleaning because of allergy - that was spot on, they come everyday and the room looks very clean. I will come back soon :)

Whenever I spend my time in Gdańsk, Sadova is my number one. The men and women at the front desk were very accommodating and also adhered to all precautions related to COVID-19 restrictions. They were very professional and helpful in answering any questions I had. Thanks again to everyone for being great hosts! Maybe the prices could be adjusted as breakfast was limited and the spa is closed. Aside from this little suggestion, Sadova is still my number one.

We stayed in a studio room which was nice. Very clean and room attended to every day. There is a water machine in the corridor and a glass bottle to fill it up in the room.

The breakfasts were really nice and a huge selection.

Staff very helpful and professional. Only about a ten minute walk to the Old Town.

The negatives I would say is that there is not a safe in the room which I did presume there would be…. I think there is one at reception though? There is no spy hole on the room door. The pillows were extremely soft and we had to ask for firmer ones which they did not have but kindly went out and got some for us.

Overall a lovely stay in beautiful Gdansk.

Stayed with family. Hotel nice and rooms clean however rooms small more like a business hotel. Most staff friendly and helpful although the ones on duty when we arrived (male) were not very welcoming or helpful just told us what floor our rooms were on and that was that . Breakfast very plentiful. Pool nice. Approximately 10 minutes walk to centre

Beautiful hotel, very clean and well presented. Staff very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool small but adequate as was the sauna. Breakfast was excellant with a great variety of items and very plentiful. Dinner very good value and the food was great. Very central to the main attractions with a tram stop just across the road. Quiet location. The only negative is very minor but there is no bedside lockers/drawers for underwear to be stored. No safe in rooms but they are available at reception.

They had plenty of towels next to the pool. You can also take your bath robe from the room. I think it is not required to use slippers, but it is not allowed to wear outdoor shoes. Hotel gave me a pair of disposable slippers to use.

In addition to luggage storage you could also explore checking out later, sometimes depending on the occupation level of the hotel they will allow you a couple of hours complimentary or you could try and negotiate a longer extension, sometimes it is worth paying to keep your room.As above the staff were very nice, definitely somewhere we would stay again.

Hi:). There IS a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and everything you need to take a shower) as for the iron.. if I am not mistaken, there was one in the wardrobe but we didn’t use so.... I can not be sure. But since the hotel is 4-star, I guess there ought to be everything for the travelers !🙌🏻
