Hotel Gdansk is the best boutique hotel in the Tricity and a true flagship hotel of Gdansk. Uniquely situated by the picturesque yacht marina, in the heart of the city, the hotel is often recognized as a special place in the city center. The hotel has two synergic components - a granary from the XVIIIth century, restored with great attention to detail, enchanting with its elegance and history, and the Yachting part, whose modern decorating themes infuse the interiors with a sea-inspired look. Thus, the fascinating history and traditions of the city of Gdansk are strongly present in the both parts of Hotel Gdansk. The Spa in Hotel Gdansk is one of the most modern and fashionable Spas at the Baltic coast, and one of the best Med Spas in Poland.Hotel Gdansk Restaurant is an unusual restaurant in a unique place. It serves exquisite dishes of Polish and Gdansk regional cuisine. The mini-brewery is a great addition to the boutique complex and a very interesing attraction for Hotel Gdansk guests, who may here try the best beer in Poland. Our Schwarzbier (dark beer) received this title during the prestigious beer contest in Zywiec 2011. There is always someting interesting happening in our brewery. At least 3 times a week you can enjoy live music.

Situated just a 2-3 minutes stroll off Long street at the marina you will find Hotel Gdansk. Zabka and a few coffee shops are in close proximity as well.
Hotel Gdansk is a 5 star boutique hotel. However, pay attention during your online booking process as it also features 4 star rooms. That is where I went wrong. More about that in the following.

Check-in
I ckecked in right after midday and the room I had originally booked, in the 4 star section, wasnt readied yet. The gentleman in reception was so kind and upgraded me to a 5 star room. A porter, very polite and friendly, followed me to the room providing useful information. All in all a very efficient and enjoyable check-in experience.

The Room
I was in room #410, just a short walk from the elevator. It featured a big bed with nightstands, a work desk with a chair, a generous wardrobe with a safe, laundy cards and bags and white robes.
Further, there was a round table with two chairs, perfect for that night-cap, and a tv with a good choice of channels. The bathroom had all kind of amenities on offer and white towels and a floormatt with the hotels initials in golden letters were provided.
The room was oozing quality in every single way: from the furniture to the pictures on the wall with maritime and city motives and to the elegant color combinations. A true boutique hotel.
The minibar had a modest but good choice of beverages, even the famous Goldwasser was awaiting me here.

Public areas
The public areas were all in spotless condition. Beautiful and tasteful furniture, pictures of Gdansk in the older days and a pleasent smell made the public areas some of the best I have ever experienced during any hotel stay.

Additional information
The hotel has a very cosy restaurant with an outdoor seating area, a spa and a gym. I havnt tried any of these during this short two dayq-stay but will do so next time.
Car parking is available at 100 zloty per day.
Breakfast clocks in at 75 zloty, if I remember correctly.

Summary
The Hotel Gdansk is a haven of tranquility and style. From the room to the public areas to the service it offers all you can wish for from a 5 star Boutique Hotel. I absolutely loved it. There is not much to criticize here. But there is always one fault, one little irritating detail, no matter how many stars or expensive the property is, that can be improved. Nobody and nothing is perfect, right. So here it goes, and it might surprise you: the only thing which did not deliever at Hotel Gdansk was…the toilet brush. Now I am only talking about the one in room#410. When you want to use it you will need to pull it upwards from from its holding position and when you do so the plastic cup in which it is resting will come right along which means you will actually need to use your hand to seperate the brush from the cup. So dear Hotel Gdansk, please find a more userfriendly solution to this very basic issue. But still..its a straight 10/10 from me for this lovely, elegant and cosy property. Absolutely recommended!

Stayed here for a long weekend with my boyfriend. We were in the yachting part of the hotel and rooms were great. Beds comfortable and rooms clean and spacious. Breakfast had a wide range to choose from including eggs, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, meats, cereals, bread and cake (even apple crumble!).

The spa was a lovely addition to the hotel. We had the spa to ourselves when we were there. The brewery is also a nice addition, beer was lovely.

The location was fab, right by the marina opposite the crane. Restaurants and bars within walking distance. Although it was central it was in a fairly quiet area which was good.

Would stay here again if we ever went back to Gdansk

Tourism is booming in Gdansk, not surprisingly, and the tourism infrastructure is expanding with it. The Hotel Gdansk on the Szafarnia quayside opposite the Spichlerze island is no newcomer to this scene but retains its ideal location just off the hassle of the Old Town centre and yet close to a vast selection of restaurants and cafes, and its reputation as one of the city's best addresses. Rooms above the fourth floor of the main building are accessible only by elevator from the fourth but the (small) gable windows reward with a view onto the waterfront and iconic granary. Rooms are large and extremely well equipped, also the spacious bathroom. Breakfast is a highlight : a splendidly varied buffet to last all day. Highly recommended!

I chose this hotel for its location and its 5-star rating.
Location is good as it is immediately adjacent the Old Town and walking distance to the main museums and restaurants.
However, it is certainly not a 5 star hotel but more a decent 3 stars.
My room was in the old granary section which was a nice historic feature with exposed beams in ceilings and traditional windows.
Furnishings were very heavy black and red with fake flowers and old bedspread.
Room was very large which was great but with a tiny bathroom that could only just fit one person.
Plastic cups in bathroom, cheap toiletries, average towels are not what you’d expect in 5 stars.
Nevertheless it was very clean.
I had a massage in the hotel’s spa area. Again, it was ok but forgettable.
Staff also ok but not overly helpful.

This hotel was welcoming from the minute you walk through the door. The staff were polite, helpful and informative (I had forgotten an adapter for my phone charger and was able to borrow one from reception no problem). The rooms were very clean and the beds were the most comfortable we’ve slept in away from home! The breakfast covered every taste and had some lovely touches like mini apple crumbles (delicious!) and home made strawberry mousse (delicious!). We ate in the hotel dining room one evening and the food was excellent, the best goats cheese salad ever and everyone enjoyed their food. The bar serves great beer and was always busy. Altogether this hotel was a very happy choice and we would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it to others.

This hotel is located in a great position that offers almost immediate access to the main tourist areas, yet itself is in a quiet location right on the canal Bank.
The room we had (303) was perfect. Great size and well equipped. We had a lovely view down a good length if the canal.
We choose to dine out every morning so cannot comment on food etc. Staff were attentive and friendly.

We stayed at the Hotel Gdańsk Boutique beginning of July 2022, and it was marvelous. We are sorry we stayed there only for such a short period but want to return soon.
The reception at the hotel was very friendly and helpful, but sometimes they didn't understand English well you had to repeat yourself.
We were taken to our room, and everything was shown to us where is what, the facilities, the spa, etc. The room as such huge, and it had everything. A mini bar, TV, iron, everything. The shower was big as well, and towels and necessities were there. The room had wooden joists, and the noise traveled easily through it - hence we were woken up by the breakfast room's music and the room just above it.
The breakfast is legendary. The biggest selection of everything. I don't think there is anything missing at breakfast. The hotel also has an adjusted restaurant where we highly recommend going. They have the best beer in Gdansk there.
The hotel is in an excellent location close to the city center, and if you are into history, it's the right place to be.
We don't usually go back to the same hotels and try out a new one - but we will return to this one.
At checkout, we found out someone had already checked our room out (211) - hence the lower level of English of the staff.
We used the service and left our luggage at the hotel for the whole day before collecting it for departure.

The Browary says they'd offered the best beer in Gdansk. So we tasted it. You can order smaller glasses for tasting the different beers and all are very good. Our personal favourit is the Hefeweizen. So taste the different ones and choose what you like, you won' t admire it.

My wife and I just returned from 3 nights at Gdansk Boutique Hotel and were pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff went out of their way to help us and were always pleasant and accommodating. For us, this is the most important part of any hotel stay. Their smiles and willingness to help means alot!

Everything was very good for a standard hotel, but from a 5 stars hotel you definitely expect more. For example, there was no one carrying our luggage to the room, no one showing us the hotel, spa etc. Cleaning carriage stands in front of our room door all day. And the room has been cleaned only after 3 pm. The SPA's service was really impolite, rude receptionist. The restaurant in the hotel is really good, wonderful and wonderful beer. The position of the hotel is good as well!

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing Hotel Gdańsk. We are glad that your overall experience was positive and that you enjoyed our beer and restaurant. Also thank you for your suggestions. We are sorry for the inconvenience regarding the luggage. Our porter always ask our Guests if they need help with it. Probably during you check-in he was helping other guests. When housekeeping clean rooms the cleaning carriage is left at the end of the corridor, so it does not interrupt the traffic. When the cleaning of the floor is finished it is moved to storage room. We are sorry that you found one of our employees impolite. We will carry out additional staff training to avoid such situations in the future. We would like to ensure you that all of your suggestions were passed to proper managers. We will do our best to improve those points, so each Guest would feel special in our hotel. We hope that we will have opportunity to host you in the future. You are always welcome! Kind regards, Hotel Gdańsk staff

Good day! The old building is more interesting with river view but the windows are so narrow and there is no enough light. Do not agree to have a room in the back side of the hotel, because there is a huge repairs on that side of the town. They start working in 6.30 . Ask for a room in the new part with balcony!!!! Here you have a view over the harbor also. Have a nice trip! BR
