Had a 3 night stay at IBB Hotel Dlugi Targ as a small group and this made for a great experience for our first trip to Gdansk. The location made it very easy for us to explore everything Gdansk had to offer and all of the rooms were of a really nice standard for the price paid. No complaints at all and would absolutely stay again.

Hotel was also taking all precautionary measures to keep the place clean and safe for guests .

Just returned to the UK from 3 nights spent here with my girlfriend - we have absolutely nothing negative to say about the place whatsoever. The receptionists were friendly and helpful (we asked for 2 extra pillows and these were brought to our room within 15 minutes), the room was spotless and well equipped. A very nice large bathroom with a good shower, nice big windows which let in a lot of light and could be opened fully, plenty of storage/wardrobe space. The bed was large and very comfortable. We didn't know you had to put a card on the door asking for the room to be made up but when we did, the room was cleaned to a very high standard with new sheets on the bed and fresh towels replaced the used ones.
Most importantly, the location of the hotel is absolutely ideal - just off the main strip in the Old Town, you really couldn't ask for a better spot. Everything you could want was within walking distance.
We only paid £145 (750 PLN roughly) for 3 nights which we thought was outstanding value.
We didn't have any meals included so couldn't comment on the food provided.
If we were to ever return to Gdansk, we wouldn't think twice about coming back.

Just returned from an extended stay in Gdansk due to the international travel lockdown imposed at very short notice. Everyone of the staff did all they could to make our initial traumatic experience as pleasant as it could be. So accommodating and thoughtful to the plight we faced, potentially being stuck for an additional 14 days.

The hotel is lovely, extremely well located for the outdoor life that we sampled for 2 days before everything was closed. Lovely room overlooking the main old town walkway. Lovely comfy huge bed as well. Minibar in room with soft drinks but good to store your own beer which cost about 40p a 500ml bottle...

Breakfast was good, lots of choice of cold and fresh items and a few hot choices you could order as well.

Wifi worked well and take the firestick was a great plus point.

Cant thank the staff enough for keeping us semi sane.

We stayed here this weekend from 10-12th September, we had 2 rooms as we were a party of 4.

I have stayed here previously in 2019 and chose the hotel soley for the location.

The Location is perfect, right in the heart of the city on the long market street and a stones throw away from the Neptune fountain.

We had a good stay but in hindsight I think next time we would book somewhere else.

The hotel itself was clean, we did have an issue with not having any curtains in one room, the first night we didnt notice as we arrived late evening, we noticed it when the sun came up and woke us up. We totally forgot to mention this to reception as we were out all day, we only mentioned it early evening and it was too late to get htis rectified, partially our fault for leaving it too late, but thinking about it, why were there no curtains in a room with a massive window which I think was south facing?

The other issue was that before we arrived I asked for a later checkout as our return flight Sunday was 10.30pm, I was told before we arrived that yes they could accomodate and that there was no cost for this, ( I did offer to pay but was told no cost), when we mentioned this to reception on Saturday we were told yes they could accomodate and the cost would be 200PLN, I know ths is the usual when you ask for a late checkout and I had no problem paying, but I just dont know why we were told no charge and then get charged. Would rather have just known this from the start.

The last issue which is not the fault of the hotel but something you have to weigh up the pros and cons for, when you get picked up from the hotel the pick up vehicle was not allowed in the street, I think only licensed taxi's are allowed and we booked a transfer so it just meant we had a bit of a walk to get to where the driver was on the way home. I forgot about this from my previous visit.

These are minor issues for us and we didnt really want to cause any fuss so just got on with it, but when we return I think we would just book another hotel as we got a better feel for the area and would possible stay in another part of the town.

All in all the location is the best thing about this hotel, it did the trick for us for a couple of days, the team are all welcoming and polite, but next time we will try an alternative.

Loved this hotel smack dab in the middle of things. Altho we did walk into the casino at first trying to find the entry (go around the corner to the side street entrance). The lobby is kind of small and while there's a bar for drinks, it's nowhere you'd really want to hang out. That said, we were able to check right in after our early flight and the front desk was quite pleasant. Our hotel was a little removed from the rest of the hotel (as was the case in two other places this trip) but the room was beautiful. Nice to have modern amenities in such an old building. I'm not a fan of the way they set up showers in much of Europe with no real separation from the rest of the bathroom floor, but that's how they do it. Other than that, it was a great size and nice towels. The free items in the mini bar were a bonus. One of the cleaning gals was overwhelmed one day and asked if she could skip our room but loaded us up with juice and water. People had complained about hard beds but they were perfect for me. We did pay for breakfast one morning and while it's a very impressive spread, we weren't wowed. But we did get a kick out of the coffee machines and you could really load up for the day if you wanted to. I'd rather grab coffee and pastries out and about. Loved being right in the main square and would def. go back since it's so well priced.

Our visit started with a hiccup but the staff solved the issue like pros. The result was more than satisfactory.
We had such a pleasant stay in this new and modern hotel that was right in the middle of the old town without being affected by the noise and liveliness that comes with such areas.
The rooms were spacious and impressively clean. We stayed in a connecting family room so the pre-teens get their own space and we got our space as parents. The hotel offered complimentary water and juices in the fridge which is something I have not seen in many other hotels.
We were also able to park the car just next to the hotel (for a reasonable fee) which made our visit smoother.
Already planning a new visit to the hotel :)

The hotel has four stars and is supposed to be somewhat classy. It is not.

Our room was cleaned only once in four days, only after we told the reception (the hotels' COVID-19-rules are somewhat confusing). The cleaning did not include new glasses/cups or change of bed sheets or vacuuming.

We were also told we had the chance of an early check in, which the staff denied once we arrived.

The breakfast was nearly gone when we arrived at 9.00, although it's supposed to last until 11.

For this price, I expected a lot more.

A lovely relatively small hotel (89 rooms), absolutely pristine, which offered a more personal service.

Fabulous location on the Dlugi Targ, all be it the entrance is just to the side.

My room 118, looked immediately over the Dlugi Targ, and with the windows closed, I couldn’t hear any noise from the street.

Breakfast in the restaurant was more than adequate, both cold and hot options readily available.

The entire hotel and rooms are extremely modern, but at the same time warm in character.

I couldn’t find fault in this hotel (and as prev mentioned as a retired Airline Employee, I’ve stayed in one or two 😉

And the price was more than affordable, at the time of my stay £45 (PLN246), which included breakfast 👍

The breakfast is very good, well worth the money! The soundproofing in the hotel doesn´t exist. I woke up every night when the neighbours came back to their room. Very annoying. We booked a taxi to the airport through the hotel and we were told that it would cost 80 złoty, in fact we ended up paying more than that since the taximeter showed more than 80. Not a pleasant surprise.

Dear Esbo, thank you for your opinion. I can assure you that our rooms meet all requirements regarding soundpfroofing, yet we know that for everybody this is a sensitive case and everybody hear in a different way, has a different strength of sleep etc. We do have ear plugs in the reception, so you can ask for them during your next stay :) About the taxi - it must had been a misunderstanding, there are often taxis parking outside our hotel that are not from the company that we work with. Our taxi company has fixed price to the airport and they do not use taxometers in that way. Sorry for that situation, we will try to have an eye on that matter. Best regards Maciej Wyskiel - Hotel Director

First of all this is an amazingly good hotel in the middle of everything. Beautiful and spacious, modern, new rooms and bathrooms - and absolutely the best breakfast you can imagine. They even sent chef’s greetings to our room when we arrived. The drinks at the minibar are free and added daily (two bottles of water, an orange juice and a coke). The view from our room and from the restaurant was also great. We highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely choose it again.

The square is very lively , but we were in one of the rooms behind it and had no noise disruption, you forfeit the view though, we looked out onto parking garages. It’s a great hotel .
