Visited Gdansk last September to attend a friend's wedding. My friend and I stayed at Villa Stratus, was greeted by the lovely owner. He was very friendly and helpful to us. Reasonable distance from Gdansk centre. Great accommodation. Breakfast was superb. Free coffee available all day. Very warm welcome from team. Gdansk is a great place to visit , but be warned , pickpockets work on the airport transfer bus , as I found to my expense.

We had only one day in Gdansk and, with the roadworks, had some trouble getting to the hotel in our car. However, we were greeted very warmly and the rooms were excellent with modern facilities, free wi-fi, generous bathroom and comfortable beds in which we slept well, despite some road noise overnight. I stayed here the first week of June. It's easy to get to from the town centre by bus or tram. My room was perfect for me as a solo traveller and really clean. The only downside was the public balcony which was pretty much outside my room (on the first floor), so I felt like I needed to keep...

This place is located just several bus stops from Gdańsk main rail station and Old Town. The owner is a former musician of one of Polish well known bands.
