The ARCHE Dwór Uphagena Gdansk (ARCHE Uphagen Manor Gdansk) is the pearl of the North in the Arche hotel collection. The property is located in a quiet corner of the center of charming Gdansk, by the Motlawa River, less than 1 km from the Old Town. The complex consists of the 1800's Uphagen family summer residence building and the industrial interiors of a former hospital. The mansion offers 598 beds in 261 rooms and 9 professionally equipped conference rooms. The green, tree-lined patio, sauna area, gym and nearby recreational areas with numerous walking trails offer relaxation in contact with nature in the heart of the Tricity metropolis. The atmospheric Stara Kuchnia (Old Kitchen) Restaurant is an iconic meeting place, and the Maglownia bar invites you every day for coffee and sweets from its own confectionery. Join the story!

We were very pleased with our stay at the Arche hotel and were positively surprised by the standard and cleanliness upon arrival. Although we could not check in early, the lovely staff supplied us with towels to freshen up and the option to store our luggage. The room was very modern with a thought-through design, with the only negative aspect being the location on the ground floor and not in the main building. The service was very good, however they did miss out on cleaning our room even after reminding them 2 times. They were very quick on compensation this though, with vouchers for their bar. Breakfast was standard, nothing more to expect for the price.

The front desk staff were very helpful with recommendations, however our expectations on the outdoor-picnic classical concert at the Hevelianum were not really met. It was in fact not outdoor, but inside in a small house and there we stood with our blanket and picnic :) this was not a major issue though, we got to see the scenery up there!

Our tour group of 35 was booked into this quirky new-age hotel with red brick as a theme but those uncomfortable with industrial chic might feel they're living in a warehouse especially as some features are not functional eg try plugging into black sockets that you can hardly see in dim light! The dressing table had two white slashes on it that looked like it was damaged so rather disturbing.
However the bathroom is wonderful. Vast with plenty of wood surfaces to put your clothes, heated floor and a bold black and white color scheme.
The food at breakfast was excellent, fresh, varied and different. There were some wraps and rolls with savoury and sweet ingredients which weren't found at other hotel buffets.
The location is in a residential area and not really walkable from the riverside where we were left to wander about and get back on our own. Took us a long time with Google's GPS over unfamiliar territory.

Hotel is stunning. Amazing attention to detail with the decor. They have managed to balance a modern feel whilst keeping a lot of the original features.

10 minute walk to town. 5 minute walk to tram.
We got a tram to Stogi beach which took around 10 mins, great little beach with a couple of places to eat.

We took Ubers to Sopot costing around £12 each way for around 1/2 hour journey. Sopot was beautiful, with great restaurants , cafes and bars.

Hotel breakfast was good, staff friendly, hotel spotless.
Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed in one of the "Superior Apartment DWÓR UPHAGENA 1800" rooms. The room was very nice and unique. The hotel is located in a quite part of town but only 20 min walking to get to the old town district.

The hotel has huge potential but a few things let it down.

They have two breakfast areas, the main one is very nice but if its busy they will send you down to the one in the basement which is much smaller and not very nice at all. You felt like a second rate guest if you got sent there. There are only 3 coffee machines available, two in the main breakfast area and one in the basement one, and you might spend 15 minutes in line getting a cup of just regular black coffee. Not acceptable.

There was very little warm water, you had to get up early in the morning to be able to take a hot shower, anything after 10 you would be showering in cold water.

They had one bottle of combined shower gel/soap/shampoo that you had to share between the sink and the shower. This is such a tiny detail you should have sorted especially when someone pays $200 per night for a room.

The room had a bathtub that we didnt use, and it needed to be flushed with water twice a day to avoid the drain smelling horribly.

Random people on the hotel kept connecting to the tv in my room with their youtube accounts, and the settings on the tv were locked so you couldnt disable it.

On the last night there was a lot of noise coming from one of the nearby rooms through some vent or something, needs better sound isolation.

The 1800s room was so nice and this hotel has a really cool atmosphere, so close to being perfect, but in the end it fell short.

The hotel has been restored beautifully and the design is perfect. Check in was quick and easy with a friendly receptionist. Our room was exactly as described and was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom, good shower and hairdryer, plenty of storage space and charging points. Complimentary water was provided each day. Breakfast was terrific with everything you could want including decent coffee and delicious choc chip muffins. Bar prices were reasonable and they served a lovely wheat beer (our favourite). The hotel is a good 15 minute walk from the city centre but very easy. You can also take the bus no. 111 which stops at the main train station. Location was good for us as it was very quiet at night. A very nice hotel.

We stayed at the Arche Dwor Uphagena Gdansk in April 2024, and had a very positive experience. We mistakenly arrived on the wrong day (Monday to Thursday) instead of our booking (Tuesday to Friday). I believe the receptionists name was Andrzej. He was fantastic said it was no problem and actually upgraded us. The room itself was very clean and spacious and within good walking distance to the centre (about 10 minutes walk) I would definitely recommend

Great value hotel but the rooms are not quite what you expect. the main part of hotel and restaurant is stunning but was quite disappointed when we got to our room as the photos online are gorgeous but our standard room was brown and felt a bit like we were in an underground car park ..the industrial look didn't quite work in the room although the bathroom was nice but everything is a bit cheap down to the toilet roll. Saying that breakfast is amazing , we had dinner one night too and the food was really good you also feel like your in a proper restaurant, and reception and bar staff are really lovely and reception guy helped us loads with how to get to anywhere. restaurant staff could be a bit rude and Unbothered.
Hotel is only a 15:minute walk to old town so a real bonus. Definately worth staying here.

Stayed in a great apartment in fabrika with a 3 year old and 5 month old. The apartment was lovely and clean and with enough bath towels for 4 which is a rarity without having to call reception first!

The rooms looked great and everything worked as expected and we liked the outside space too.

Breakfast was a mixed bag and depended on how busy it was what was available. Good coffee!

A very nice hotel and staff.

Located about 20minutes walk to the Main Street - could be enjoyable for a walk.

We lived two friends in separated beds and could both feel that the beds are little narrow and pillows were a bit small, however, we were in a bigger room and enjoyed the space.

Breakfast buffet was reasonable - everyone would definitely fine enough things to eat and be happy, however, bread and pastries were not freshly backed or brought from the backers on the day.

Overall, it was a very fine stay.

Beautiful object. Arnold’s apartment, where we slept, is a beautiful room, decorated, like everything in this hotel, tastefully. The height of the rooms, preserved stuccos, the combination of the old and the new is impressive.
I recommend. Worth seeing. It is worth staying here for at least a few days.
