Very good location with close to everything. Live close to train, bus and tram and walking distance to the center and experiences. The hotel's rooms and breakfast are good and the staff helpful. There is a sauna and fitness department in the hotel which is free and good.

We had a wonderful stay at Scandic Gdansk. From check-in to check-out, all staff was extremely friendly and helpful. All staff, front desk, kitchen, and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful when we needed something. All staff we encountered also spoke very good English! We will definitely return for another stay and recommend to family and friends!

The hotel is across the street from the train station which made it very convenient. It is also close to the old city and within walking distance to restaurants, museums and the waterfront. The room was very quiet and we could not hear any city or train noises even though our room overlooked the train station.

Also, the hotel is taking every precaution needed for COVID. Everything was very clean and we felt very safe during our stay! We had a wonderful experience. Thank you!

Very nice hotel with renovated rooms.
The hotel is next to the bus and train station Gdańsk Główny and you can take the 210 bus to and from the airport, almost door-to-door. The tickets are sold on the bus stop for about 1.2 euros for an adult.

Our Junior suit room was very nice with a double sofa-bed, kingsize bed in a separate bedroom, coffee maker, fridge and a tub.

Nice breakfast buffet which was 30 euros for two adults, kids 9 and 11 eat for free with an adult.

The was a couple of bikes for rent, free of charge. Also table tennis table and fussball table in the lobby, also free.

You could barely hear trafic noises in the room, so we dis get a nice sleep.

When I arrived at the hotel at 12:30 and asked if my room was ready, I was told that the room was ready but i had to pay 60 PLN for early check in: Otherwise I had to wait at least 1 hour to check in. This was my third stay at this hotel this year and I'm Level 3 member but I was treated not like a guest but like an intruder. I stayed always in a Master Suite that should be equipped with bathrobes but they give only 1 bathrobe for 2 persons. As Level 3 member I should receive a restauraunt voucher for 10 Eur but they give you voucher only for 30 PLN. On the day of the check in I asked for a late check out and the lady in the reception confirmed I could check out at 14:30. On the day of my check out just a few minutes after 12, a rude and arrogant man from the reception called me twice in my room. The first time I didn't hear what he said because the phone has been out of order from January but they don't even care about fixing it. When he called me the second time he asked "Do you know what time it is ? The check out is at 12" When I told him I have agreed to check out at 14:30 he told me it was not registered in the system. He didn't even apologize for his arrogant behaviour, In this hotel you are treated like an intruder and not like a guest. It felt like beeing in the old time of communism. It's far below Scandic standard. It's a shame.

A visit to a very snowy Gdansk for the Christmas market.
We travelled into the city from the airport on service bus 210 (2023 fare approx 1.7 euros each way - buy ticket from machine by bus stop). The last stop is opposite the train station.
The hotel is only three minutes walk away, making it an ideal location for transport connections. Note that the bus stop for the 210 back to the airport is right outside the train station.

The hotel is on the edge of the old town, and a ten minute walk to the museum of solidarity and monument. There is an Aldi supermarket 5 minutes away, plus cafes, restaurants etc.

The scandic is a modern style hotel. Their are steps and a ramp to the hotel entrance.

On the ground floor is the reception, bar, restaurant and breakfast room.

Check in at reception was timely and professional - the staff friendly and caring. We were allocated room 122 on the first floor. There are two lifts to all floors.

Our room had a large double bed, and a sofa bed. The shower room was a good size.
The room including a flat screen tv ( incl English language channels), fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and aircon. Personally I found the beds hard, but my travelling companion found them comfortable.

Breakfast was very good with a choice of hot and cold items, tea/coffee/juice, bakery items etc. having travelled extensively Iim able to tell a good scrambled egg from a poor powdered version. The scramble led egg here is extremely good.

In the evening we decide to eat at the restaurant, which by 9pm only 4 other tables were occupied. Wow did we make the right choice. Our meal was truly superb. The tartar starter, the pork tomahawk, and the chocolate lava cake were an absolute delight. The cost was very good value for this standard of meal.

We were lucky and able to secure late check out (subject to availability), which suited our plans with a 2.5 hr walking tour starting at 11am.

A last cup of tea from ‘the pantry’ by reception before departure kept us warm ready for our bus back to the airport.

Would we stay here again? Definitely, yes, without question.
Thank you

The convenient location near transport connections, the professional and friendly staff, well-equipped and comfortable rooms, and the delightful dining experience were highlighted. The praise for the excellent breakfast and the superb restaurant meal adds to the positive review. The option for a late check-out and the overall satisfaction make it clear that you would choose to stay at Scandic Gdansk again. Thank you for the valuable feedback and your recommendation!

Check in was smooth and quick. Room was nice, a single bed. Everything was very clean. Room temperature could be a bit temperamental, chilly and then suddenly too hot. I didn’t like the pillow on the bed, only one and far too soft, felt like head was on the mattress.
Shower was good, apart from a leak onto the floor, no matter what I did, it still leaked.
Very close to train station, and about 0.5mile walk to main town. Is about 10min walk away from where the Xmas markets are being set up.
I would recommend to stay here.

Scandic Hotel chain in Nordic countries is known for ihigh standards and stable high quality. Scandic Gdansk is not the standard I have been customed when staying in other locations. Most irritating feature in the room was poor pillow - just one. Breakfast is the only positive thing. Kudos for good breakfast and friendly personnel in the restaurant.

This was not a pleasant stay.
We had booked a junior suite, and when we entered the room – it was like stepping in to mid-1980’s with carpet wall to wall, old furniture, old tv (with cables hanging all over the place).
The room was warm, like really warm.. WE hoped the AC was just shut off for a while and it would do it’s magic.. but no.
It never did.. it made a lot of noise, and it was blowing air into the room, but it was not cold air. Even we turned the thermostat all the way down.

In the bedroom it was not working at all.. no air coming out of the vent.
The door between the main room would not close completely.
Tiles in the bathroom was broken. Even the minibar would not get cold – so the water we had brought with us would never get cold..

The next day I let the reception know about our problems and they sent someone to our room. The guy came, felt the room temperature, and said he would come back. He came back with a small coffee table, he could stand on, so he was able reach the vents with his hands.. Needless to say, I told him get off the table and leave down to the reception with me. We got another room, but it was the same – except the ac made even more noise on the “new” room – so we had to turn down the fan speed…

Down the reception again.. this time I got told it was to hot outside, so the AC was not able to cool down the room.. All other rooms in stores, restaurants, shopping malls we visited had ac capable to cool down the areas. But apparently not scandic..
Did not sleep the first to nights.

The last night the temperature outside vent down to 19 degrees so we left the windows open and went outside – until it was bedtime..
The staff was not very understanding or helpful and a bit condescending towards both me and my wife.

The breakfast was really good, and the staff did a great job keeping the area clean and tidy. Food 5+
