Although smoking is formally forbiden, the smell is everywhere and if you have windows to yard, it is not very idea to open the window, because always someone smokes here. Well, then there are several minor probles. The prize per room is very different to... More

I stayed here for a month to spent time with a friend in gdansk. I had a private room with double bed for 13 euro a night. No problems with the room or hostel and was exactly what I expected. The staff were friendly towards me. I recommend this place if you are after cheap, private accommodation.

Don't even think about going there. We stayed there, because there was a problem with our initially booked hostel. The lady hosting doesn't speak English at all. The room hasn't been cleaned for very long time and it was full of spider webs. On the floor there were some other bugs crawling. The sheets were ragged and doubtfully clean. There... More

This hostel is not as bad as some of the reviews say.It was clean and quiet but not very social. The first receptionist was very rude and spoke almost no English. She made not attempt to try and communicate with us but instead shooed us away like we were an annoyance. The other receptionist however was very nice and welcoming.... More

I disagree with some of the comments on here, for the price this hostel is perfectly adequate. The area it is situated in looks a bit rough but i didnt feel threatened at all, we stayed for 6 nights and did not have any problems. 15 mins walk to the city centre and to the station. If you are just... More

The hostel: http://www.baltichostel.com.pl/ which is on Zaroślak 12 in Gdańsk is the worst place I he stayed so far. It is in very ugly and dangerous zone, especially for foreigners. There are 2 shops where you could buy food, drinks but there is a lot of drunk people. It is not far away from the center however I was unable... More

It seems the hostel moved to a new location before 2013. I used a new one located at ul. Zaroslak 12, Gdansk 80-811, Poland. It is definitely better to use a google map to find a new map!!!!! - Location 10 min walk to the main street (Dluga) and a small shop behind the hostel. - Price It is from... More

The original Baltic Hostel situated near the train station was superb. The hostel has moved to a suburb and it is a horrible place to stay. The beds, curtains, cleanliness, staff are all awful and it is now situated completely out of the way. A massive contrast to the original Baltic Hostel was was brilliantly located. comfortable, had great staff... More
