Celestin Residence is a unique place for those seeking comfortable accommodation in a convenient location, in a place where history intertwines with the present. The building was structured in 1577. In this old building, we offer innovative solutions with a high standard in a comfortable way to move visitors into the world of the past. Celestin Residence is located in the picturesque center of the Old Town - just 150 meters from the river Motlawa with numerous attractions to explore. We guarantee a great value for money of services among hotels in the Old Town of Gdansk. The original design of the rooms, breakfast canteen, conference room and bar will allow you to spend special time in a place where you will taste the flavor of the past times. We exist because Gdansk needs good standards of comfort and facilities at an affordable price, so we can be available to you throughout the year. We have lots of ideas and possibilities, which stand out in the market. Celestin Residence consists of 29 modern rooms with a high standard and unique decor. In addition to single and double rooms, we have also 3 suites on offer for families and groups of friends, where you will find lots of space and a sense of comfort for groups up to 5 guests. Our friends and I had a 3 night stay at Celestin Residence whilst we enjoyed a mini break in Gdańsk. We arrived at 2am and were greeted with a polite and friendly welcome from the night reception manager. We were booked in quickly and efficiently and soon settled into our rooms. Both our rooms were spotless, well appointed and covered our needs quite adequately. Fridge, kettle, tea and coffee and complimentary water were at hand. The bed was firm, but very comfortable and we slept well.
We all had breakfast at the hotel on the first morning and found the selection varied and plentiful. The reception is covered 24/7 and all the staff spoke excellent English. Any information was readily available. They even helped us print our airline tickets off free of charge.
The location of Celestin Residence is only 2 mins from the waterfront, about the same to the Hala Targowa, and 5 or 6 minutes from Długi Targ. There are numerous restaurants and bars all within staggering distance (and we did try quite a few), all very friendly and welcoming, and you are spoilt for choice.
A big thank you to all at Celestin Residence. It was a pleasure to stay with you. Hopefully we will be back again soon.

Stayed here with my son for three nights whilst visiting Gdansk sight seeing. Very nice rooms and bathroom excellent breakfast, did not book breakfast and went out to find a cafe first day but found they didn’t seem to open until after 10am and ended up paying £20 for 2 of us and not very satisfactory so other tw mornings we opted for the hotel breakfast at £10 each well worth it plenty of choice . Hotel very clean staff could not do enough for us always asking if we were ok did we need any help etc, would recommend them to anyone visiting Gdansk very competing price as well.

The Celestin Residence is located in a safe, quiet residential area of Gdańsk, about a 15 minute stroll from the airport bus stop. It is very close to the bustling historic centre and riverside area with its many bars, shops and restaurants. We received a warm welcome with a very simple and efficient check-in service. The ground floor room [6] and bathroom, though quite small, were very clean, comfortable and functional. It included a small kitchenette with a fridge, kettle and cooking facilities. A wall-mounted TV provided channels in Polish and Russian. There was also a safe in the wardrobe. The buffet breakfast was well presented, varied and plentiful. Given the price-point, location and cleanliness of the Celestin Residence, we would highly recommend this hotel, and definitely stay here again.

Great hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms are freshly decorated and very clean. Our double room was just the right size for two with a spacious ensuite shower room. No bells and whistles but everything you need for a fantastic city break. The breakfast room is fresh and clean with a plentiful selection of hot and cold foods. Right smack in the centre of Old Town a stones throw from the riverbank. We contacted the hotel beforehand and they had a taxi waiting at the airport for us for approx €20. Wander the beautiful city, taking in the historical architecture and take a boat ride to Westerplatte to hear the complex story of how Gdansk was founded.

We arrived past midnight and were greeted by a friendly receptionist. She was, however, the exception, not the norm at this hotel. The rest of the staff were typical of Polish hospitality - just okay. Our room on the ground floor was small but clean. The double bed was pushed against the wall which may prove problematic when 2 people share the bed. Since we were on the ground floor we could hear conversations out on the sidewalk, however, it is in a quiet neighborhood so at night this wasn't a problem. The 2 best things about this hotel are the location and the breakfast. It is an easy walk to Dluga Street through some charming side streets. The breakfast selection was excellent featuring a buffet with a wide variety of cold cuts, cheeses, fresh breads and Polish specialties.

Awful. The room was dirty, they did not provide any toiletries. Water was provided in a jug left on the counter. Felt like a seedy medieval motel. We had our luggage in storage and when we went to pick it up they demanded $200 in cash or would not release our luggage!! We paid and had no way to recover the money we lost. We left a review on agoda through which we booked and it was not posted. I had no idea Agoda filters reviews this way and it explains the high rating of this plqce. I usually rely on ratings when finding hotels so this is concerning for me. We left and found much nicer accomodation for half the price. Would not reccomend!!!!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The location is fantastic (could walk to all the main sites and 1 min from the waterfront). The staff were all so lovely - no matter who I encountered they were a delight. The room was great- good size with all the amenities you need. Breakfast was very nice - good choice, not overly huge variation but enough that I never got tired of it. I hope to be back in future as I’ve left very happy.

I really enjoyed my short stay at the Celestin in the heart of the old town at the height of the tourist season. The price was very reasonable compared to other properties in the neighborhood. My room was spacious enough to fit a bed, desk, and chair with room to spare. It came with a much-appreciated kettle and tea/coffee. The wifi zinged along. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great, including hot and cold options.

Be aware that there's a steep flight of steps of street to lobby level, which would be a problem for anyone with mobility and balance issues, especially with a heavy case. There is no air con. Despite it being a very hot summer, my lobby level room was very comfortable with the windows open. But a friend on the top floor told me it was hot up there. Try to get a room facing away from the street to avoid noise.

Maybe try and be a cleaner for a week and you will see how it's a hard job and certainly takes longer than 30 minutes and there are other rooms besides yours also!

Hi, does the hotel provide laundry service or self-laundry machines?
Answer from Celestin R
Dear Sirs, I would like to inform you that we provide laundry service. Please be aware that the laundry has to be left at the reception in the morning and it will be given back next day with hotel laundry delivery. In the nearby area of the hotel there are also laundry places that might finish it faster.
