The hotel is in a great location and a short taxi ride from the airport. We were able to check in early as the hotel was probably not very busy at the end of January.
The hotel was fantastic. Large bedroom, extremely clean, friendly staff, nice bar. The spa area was nice but the steam room was out of service for the length of my stay.
I would also save money on breakfast and eat out at one of the many great cafes and restaurants Gdansk has to offer. The breakfast was nice but was not worth paying £15 per person, especially when I could spend £10 for two people elsewhere. We only ate breakfast in the hotel on the last day because we were getting to the airport early and the cafes/restaurants in Gdansk were not open that early. In hindsight breakfast at the airport looked better value for money than the hotel.
However, I would thoroughly recommend staying at the Radisson Blu.

Dear MLD1972, Thank you for sharing the experience. I'm glad you managed to taste our breakfast. As you mentioned It's probably cheaper to eat a simple breakfast outside, but you will never find the same variety of products out there. I hope we will get to see you back to Radisson BLU! Best Regards, Michal Ziegert General Manager

The hotel location is the best, although you need to consider it is in the pedestrian district, and there are also construction going on the back from Powroznicza street. We arrived by the taxi hired via the application, and ended up walking with our luggage for about 50 meters. I found out later that in front of the hotel from Powroznicza, there is an exclusive parking for Neptune Taxi. It is reasonably priced, and we used Neptune Taxi during our stay and to the airport.

The room and the bathroom were spacious and clean. The breakfast was also great. It was not included, but you can purchase at the restaurant entrance as you go for 90 zloty/person. I wish the bed would have an extra mattress cover, since the mattress seemed to be extra firm, but it is matter of preference.

The only issue was during the check in our room was not ready by 15 00 (which is check in time), and we saw a couple guests waiting around 15:30 next day waiting for their rooms. From my search on google, it looks like Radisson chain has a late check out, so it affects the incoming guests. However, the staff was very accommodating and stored the luggage behind the reception, so the people can go for a walk/ visit the restaurants.

Booked a last minute week break in February to Gdansk with my partner as we have friends there. Very happy that we stayed at the Radisson Blu. The hotel is lovely outside and in. However we did struggle to find the entrance when we first arrive to the Old Town. The hotel is in the perfect place, surrounded by so much to do and see. The hotel bar was great, really cosy, and the bartender made amazing drinks and cocktails. The front desk staff were very accommodating, even giving us a European adaptor plug as we had forgot to bring ours (oops!). The room was basic than we expected for a 5* however was lovely. The room was equipped with a hair dryer, kettle and mini fridge. There is also a Zabka shop, mini supermarket less than 5 minute walk from the hotel which has affordable drinks and snacks. Definitely will visit again, however will pick a warmer month. But, we did hear that summer is busy with tourist so may be something to consider.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel. We arrived from the airport by taxi which cost 60 zloty. We thought the location was good, being just off the Main Street in the old town and close to the river area. Check in was smooth and we were in room 217. Not a bad room , but we found the bed to be very firm and not very comfortable. The linens and pillows were ok and everything was very clean. The bathroom was very modern and stylish. There wAs a hairdryer, toiletries, plenty of hanging spaces in the wardrobe, tv , safe, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities. Only other complaint was soundproofing not great and we could clearly hear people in the next room.
On a positive note we found the staff on reception to be very helpful, printing off boarding passes and arranging a taxi to the airport. I also forgot to bring a razor and they provided me with one. All in all a good hotel in a good location, but I really can’t see it’s a 5 star to be honest. Average 4 star at best. Can’t comment on breakfast or the food as we eat elsewhere.

A great hotel located very centrally in the city.
Amazing service, nothing was problematic or difficult. There were croissants, biscuits and cakes as well as coffee and tea at the reception.

Large room, ours was over 30 square feet with everything you need. I would really recommend this, especially for the price - we paid around 700 Norwegian kroner per day.

We had a family room for 4 nights and it was a great New year vacation. The location is perfect: main steet in old town, beautifully decorated , in waking distance to everything that tourists with a family need: shopping, food, places of interest. Spacious rooms that fit up to 4 people, clean, modern. Breakfast buffet is more than enough))) We had a dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was worth it: it is considered to be one of the best restaurants in Poland.

We usually stay in an Airbnb but decided on a hotel for our first trip to Gdańsk, we were most definitely not disappointed…

After a short taxi journey costing 77pln, we checked in and we given a room on the 1st floor, room 131 to be precise, absolutely beautiful, immaculate, and very spacious, the bed was a little bit firm but that’s just a personal choice, there was lavender spray for the pillows, lovely touch. Also free bottles of still and sparking water, lots of tea and coffee including a Nespresso machine.

It wasn’t until we left the hotel foyer that we realised how fantastic the location of the hotel is, literally bang smack in the middle of the old town, just a 5 second walk to the main square and 2 mins to the river. Lots of work going on by the river at the moment, we could hear it slightly in our room first thing in a morning, but it didn’t bother us.

We didn’t eat in the hotel but we did use the bar a couple of times and were pleasantly surprised by the prices, very reasonable for a hotel.

Each time we saw a member of staff we were greeted in a friendly manner, also we were very impressed by the housekeeping team, the room was immaculate every time we returned to it, to sum up, we highly recommended this hotel and we will be back with friends at Christmas to spend more time in this beautiful port town.

I stayed at this hotel in December and had a wonderful stay. The rooms was spacious and clean and the breakfast was delicious. The location is very central.

I would like to say a special thank you to Aziza at reception. I am very allergic to pet dander and when I arrived to check-in, I informed Aziza of this and asked for a room where no pets had been (a lot of hotels in Poland allow pets). Aziza was so helpful and polite - and I was very grateful for this. She immediately looked into and thoroughly checked to ensure that the room assigned to me was ok for allergy sufferers.

After years of staying at hotels where allergy sufferers are treated as a nuisance and people with pets are prioritised - it was just SO nice to be treated with a bit of respect and professionalism! Other hotels could learn a lot from this!

When I booked for Gdansk I chose this hotel as it was very central, rooms looked nice, reasonably priced and honestly didn’t think riffraff would stay in a 5 star hotel… how wrong was I! The first night we arrived was fine, had a good night sleep and staff were welcoming but the Saturday night we were woken up at 01:30 am to extremely loud music and the people in the room next door banging about. I phoned reception 3 times to complain about the noise levels and asked to be moved rooms to which I was told we could move in the morning. The music stopped just before 03:00 am but loud taking continued till 05:00 am, the next morning I asked to be moved rooms and a partial refund. We were moved to an executive suite which was beautiful, so comfortable and quite compared to our previous room. So thank you for that! The member of staff that moved our room was really lovely and so helpful. We managed to enjoy the rest of our stay and enjoyed playing pool in the bar for free! It’s not put me off staying with Raddison, but I do expect better from a 5 star hotel.
