I’ve been staying there sometime ago, had good memories so decided to stay again. Just one night before my flight from the Gdansk Airport. The room was of good quality, but a TV set was so small that I had to seat at the desk to be able to watch it. Otherwise it was ok.
Kobza House is a walking distance from Dluga street, so it’s very convenient for access to restaurants, shops, etc.
the underground parking is a bit tricky to find so I advise to contact the reception desk in advance to find out how to get there.

You want a great location in the old town of Gdansk and pay a great price then this is the hotel for you. Our room was good apart from the way too high temperature in it and only way was to open the window to cool the room down but sadly it rained part of the time. The breakfast buffet was not very interesting in a badly lid room which was very repellent. The hotel is overall very cozy and highly recommended one. Great location yes and great price yes :) Enjoy

The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the shops and restaurants. It was nice and clean and comfortable. The only downside was that we were staying on the top floor so we had windows on the ceiling so it felt bit dark in the room but everything else was great

Old and worn, smells of dead horse in the corridor. ac in room sounds like a jet plane. They dont clean your room everyday and dont change towels. Price is to high for this low standard. Staff is rude and stares at the floor.

For what we paid, this hotel was great. Location was excellent, central to all the attractions, restaurants and bars. Room was clean, really comfortable bed, TV, mini bar, safe etc. Nice bathroom with rain forest shower. We were on the first floor so there was a small amount of noise from the bars and restaurants below but nothing to bother us. Didn't eat here as so many places on your doorstep, try Nana's 20 metres away its great for breakfast and dinner. For the 3 nights we stayed it was perfect for our needs. Would certainly stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely little hotel, very comfortable and helpful lovely staff. It's in a good location, but can be a little noisy at night as you would expect from a city hotel. There are plenty of very reasonably priced bars restaurants nearby. I would definitely return.

This is a rather new hotel with inexperienced management and staff, rather clumsy in many ways. During our stay we gave quite a lot of suggestions for improvement. Before leaving I spent hours to show what can be improved in the room, breakfast room, etc. First the manager was interested but at some time he became very rude. Finally he told us to go and not to pay, so we did. However the next morning the police was waiting for us in our new hotel and told us we the Kobza Haus reported us for not paying. We told everything to the police. The hotel manager has not replied to my emails since then. Very nasty that he didn’t keep his word!

The hotel is nice and centrally located, but we had a problem with the noise coming from the bar-party area opposite the hotel. We decided to check-out the next day but the hotel refused to return the remaining two nights we had prepaid! The hotel basically claimed that as others had not complained our complaint must also be groundless, and they would not be swayed.

I was particularly dismayed by manager Robert's unprofessionalism, who refused to deal with us directly either in person or on the telephone, instead making up 'meetings' throughout the day that had to be attended and interacting with us through a poor receptionist who was quite embarrassed by the whole situation.

Overall the hotel is nice but prepare to be treated like absolute garbage if you end up having an issue or complaint.

Stayed here one night with friends and my girlfriend.
We are quiet people, but was even then we checked in at the reception told that this was a hotel where we could relax and not make noise. I am very confident that the staff said this only because of our age.

When we returned to the hotel after drinking some Polish beer at a bar in Gdansk took one of the staff me aside and told me that this was not a party hotel and reiterated that we would not make noise. We were not drunk, and certainly not loud or unpleasant in any way.

Although the breakfast was delicious and the hotel quite nicely as did the staff treat to us to stay at the hotel was terrible and I would advise everyone, even if you are elderly, to go to this hotel and support the behavior that this hotel has.

We travelled to Gdansk for a long weekend for my husbands birthday. Its a lovely place and although we were there in October, I can imagine its at it's best during late Spring and the Summer. This is a small boutique style hotel near the Motlawa river right beside the main town. We booked a superior room with a riverside view. Our room was of nornal size, well kept with solid funiture and very comfortable beds. We did ask for a double bed but we were actually given 2 single beds pushed together, which was fine. This is fairly standard in many parts of Europe. The reception staff were very helpful and spoke good english. When checking in we discovered that the receptionist also spoke excellent swedish, nice for scandinavian visitors.

The breakfast was good with lots of variety, good choice of cold meat cuts and several different cheeses and you could order scrambled eggs with or without ham on request. This was a nice touch as scrambled eggs that have been left standing in metal containers tends to be dry and unpleasant.

Negatives and this is only a small one if you are a light sleeper. The noise from street level (weekend revellers) can be heard from the rooms overlooking the river. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs.

Would definately recommend this hotel to friends and relatives.
