Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Now, let me start by saying that Poland is already s***. Mundo has honestly made my time there one hundred times worse. Located in one of the quietest places along with the sh**test bars, Mundo hostel did not deliver. Firstly, free breakfast. And you’d think ‘free breakfast, f**en sick!’. However, when you have three women breathing down your throats while you’re trying to eat cold egg and cheese, suddenly the free breakfast does not seem that worth it. Partnered with a crying baby and a man sitting opposite you that snored all night, I would have rather paid I-don’t-know-how-many PLN for a croissant. And the people they let in- now I understand it’s not an 18+ hostel, it’s a family hostel (a youth hostel if you must) - however, waking up at 3am to an Australian man flicking on the lights - who knows if he was Australian- and then proceeding to be a little too huffy when you tell him to turn them off, you honestly start wondering whether he was supposed to be there at all. And also, why are there random women in my room at 3am? Normally I would not complain, but right now, please f*** off. Also just the safety of the hostel. The thing being like ‘if you’re the last one in the room please give the key to the reception’ like what the f***? We had the privilege of staying in the USA room, and I lie when I say privilege. It was possibly one of the most ugly rooms I have ever seen, and we’re in budapest right now. If I wanted to go to sleep under an American flag, i would’ve told my mother to sleep with that oil baron. It genuinely felt like anyone could have walked in from the street and they would have been like ‘yeah sure, you’re here’ So overall, dead vibes, crappy breakfast, why was there a 14 year old working at the desk. I recommend Mundo if you are a very strange family who do not give a f*** about vibes - but if you are a 20 something year old who doesn’t want to come in at 12:30 and everyone already be asleep in your room, go to Greg and toms. PS: I would f***ing kill for that cold egg and cheese rn PPS: I feel like they would have yelled at us if they knew we brought nuggets into they house (I love nuggets) PPPS: I love Mundo hostel PPPPS: the photos lie PPPPPS: Poland is actually not that bad, I don’t want people to get the wrong idea

What a great find! The location was perfect - five minutes from time but in a quiet area just away from the hustle and bustle of town. The staff were great - they all spoke good English and assisted us with recommendations on where to eat, and how to get to the Salt Mines. The breakfast was an added bonus - plenty of choice, which set us up for the day ahead.

The location was perfect, just steps from Planty Park and a 10 minute walk to the Old Town market square. Staff was exceptional - friendly, professional and very helpful. Lobby area was inviting with sofa, couches and a patio to sit outside. Hotel in a garden, so very quiet. Full delicious homemade breakfast every morning of meats, cheeses, breads, cereal, granola, milk, creamy cottage cheese with vegetables, fresh tomatoe, cucumbers and eggs. The only negative that was not posted anywhere on line when we were booking was that they charge for bath towels 8 zl (about $2 US each). Crazy!

Great location! Staff was very nice and the breakfast was lovely. Very home-like and warm atmosphere which made getting to know other travelers easier. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet (no noise from the streets etc). I would definitely come here again! There was only one toilet and bathroom, which I was a bit surprised by, but I didn't find it a problem during my stay though there were quite many other travelers. The one key policy made me a bit worried that I would forget the system, but it turned out to be no problem eventually.

We stayed in a private double with shared bathroom and it was such great value! The beds were comfy, the bathroom was spotless and the showers had great water pressure. There is a cold breakfast every morning with the addition of something cooked, like pancakes or scrambled eggs. Staff are really helpful and on the desk 24hours. The walk to the main square is under ten minutes which is great!

This hostel was amazing. The location is right at the edge of the old town so really convenient. We arrived having taken a night train and when we arrived they let us have a shower even though we were too early to check in which they didn't have to do and was very appreciated. They also had a free breakfast which was really good, better than breakfasts were were paying for in other hostels. Everyone when we were staying was really chill and friendly and I felt super comfortable here. The rooms were really comfy and I wish I could have stayed here longer!!

I really liked this hostel. Very clean and the breakfast was very filling. The staff was very helpful, with very good ideas for fun. There are three fights of stairs. The bed was very comfortable and the fact that there is no air conditioning here, did not make it uncomfortable. I just opened the windows for the night air and slept well.
