Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely lovely hotel, rooms were big and clean, staff especially the reception were really helpful (especially the guy who dealt with our medical emergency), breakfast was tasty and location is superb. We will definitely use this hotel should we return and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

We booked this hotel for a short break before Easter. Lovely decor, friendly staff, reasonable bar prices and great breakfast. Beds really comfortable. If you aren’t keen on firm I think you can request a topper. We didn’t need to. Showers are fabulous. Monsoon or flexible so two options, hot and really good pressure. In room temperature control to your own comfort. Breakfast - pastries, cooked including eggs, meats, pancakes and oatmeal, cold cuts and cheese and toast and cereals. Something for everyone. Only tip I have is the double duvets don’t meet the edge of the bed. If you are small this is fine otherwise you may want 2 singles. Location is perfect. Quiet as just off the tram line but near the castle and the river. Five minutes walk to old town, 10 Mins to market square, 15 to old Jewish district and about 30 to Schindlers factory. The trams are extremely easy to use and there are electric scooters to rent from about 100yds from the hotel. All together fabulous stay. Would return in a flash! Thank you Wawel Queen.

Lovely hotel 10 minutes walk from the main square and 5 minutes from the castle. The staff were fantastic couldn’t do enough for us they were all very welcoming. The room was great had everything you needed the cleaning staff did an exceptional job every day. Reception staff were helpful in suggesting restaurants nearby. The guy behind the bar was there star employee unfortunately I can’t remember his name his cocktails were amazing. Breakfast was also very good and if you are going out for the day and need an early start they will give you an amazing breakfast to go.

Perfect location with a short walk to the market square. This hotel is modern with a soothing feel and immaculate in every way. The acid test for us is the toilets and these are super clean. Staff absolutely fantastic with the right level of attentiveness. Spot on Wawel Queen.

Really up market, classy hotel with lots of really nice quirks. All the standard things you expect to find in a hotel but just a little bit nicer, the bar is really great, the staff really friendly and the location is perfect for a visit to Krakow Highly recommend!

Stayed here for three nights at the beginning of March. WOW what a lovely hotel very friendly staff from check in to when we left. Lovely comfortable room we upgraded from standard to superior room (206) and it was perfect well worth upgrading. Breakfast was fantastic so much choice. Hotel is in an excellent location close to the castle and easy walking distance to the main square and Jewish Quarter. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Krakow.

This is a great boutique hotel. The staff, rooms and location are fantastic. We were warmly welcomed by two chaps on the front desk, I didn’t catch their name but they were very helpful in pointing out places to see and restaurants to visit. We had a standard double room. We were offered an upgrade but didn’t take it as the room was great for what we wanted. It had all the bits you needed. Iron and board, mini bar/fridge, tea, coffee etc… The location of the hotel is perfect. It overlooks the park. It’s on a road but there isn’t a lot of heavy traffic. 5 mins walk and you’re at Wawel Castle and 10 mins walk you are in the centre of the Old Town Square where there’s plenty of food and shopping choices. After a day of sightseeing the hotel has a comfy bar to have a drink in. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for someone looking for a place in Krakow.

Hotel Wawel Queen was just perfect and when we visit Krakow again we will certainly stay here if it is available. The location is very close to the main square, the rooms and whole hotel are immaculate. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They have a pad of maps on the reception desk and staff can show you directions to places. We had a long wait for our flight home and it was no problem for us to wait in the gorgeous lounge and the staff securely stored our luggage for us after checkout. Brilliant all round and great value for money.

Read this is a previous review and it is exactly how we felt 'Absolutely beautiful hotel literally just in the shadows of Wawel Castle. Only a short stroll to the main square' Super hotel and a perfect quiet location but near to everything. Clean, well appointed room with very comfortable bed. Mini fridge, iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Staff were super and friendly both in reception and at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent and service was effiecent and friendly. Special mention to Ivo and Pavel who were on different shifts at reception. Both were genuiniely friendly and helpful, I know its part of the job description but they were - with information, directions, tram information and advice - Dziękuję We stayed for 3 nights and wish it was more. One of our drivers to coming was to visit Aushwitz and pay our respects. However Krakow is a truely stunning and beautiful city - lots of magnifient churchs, museums, castles, markets and friendly hospital people. Food and restuarants were excellent and good value. We would love to come back and to stay at the Wawel Queen.

We stayed at this hotel for our visit to krakow and it was a great base for the stay. This hotel is situated just behind the castle and is central to lots of great places with a five minute walk to lots of places. Hotel smelt lovely as soon as you entered, the reception staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel will look after your bags if you arrive before your room is ready and want to explore and the same for if you have a later flight. There’s an iron, ironing board and hairdryer in your room as well as a mini bar fridge which we utilised for keeping some of our items chilled. The beds and pillows were so comfortable we didn’t want to get up in the morning! Nap nap cafe is literally two streets away and was a great place to go for breakfast but the hotel also does food but we didn’t book as part of our package. Ubers and bolts are cheaper than the taxis at the airport and reception to get to and from the airport but there are also bus and the train that goes there, not sure if the Metrolink does. Lovely hotel, perfectly situated and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here if I was returning.
