We experienced bad costumer service. We asked for early check in, but they did not even try to help us. They had avalible room from the day before, so they should have clean room for us early. But they where rude to us and not even try to listen to us. This is sad since we have stayed her twice a year for several years. We will find a nother hotel next time.

Although cosmetically a beautiful hotel, sadly as warning I feel the need to write this review. I gave the reception staff my phone to charge, I collected it and it was broken. No apology whatsoever. I was unable to contact my children. We lost another phone. After asking staff for 3 days if it had been found, and told that it had not and housekeeping had been asked, it mysteriously appeared on my bedside cabinet. I would advise any woman of colour against travelling to Poland. I have NEVER felt so intimidated and frightened by the blatant racism in my whole life, confirmed by another black lady we spoke to. We were too scaref to leave the hotel after dark. Such a shame ad architecture and nature wise,Poland was a beautiful country.

Average hotel. Good walk to the old town No decaf coffee or soya milk at breakfast Breakfast mainly the same everyday but not too bad. We didn’t use the swimming pool as it was dated and uninviting to say the least. The room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable The toiletries were good but a struggle to get the contents out. The pack lunch provided was good apart from the chocolate croissants which tasted not right so they ended up in the bin The biggest issue with a very large group staying at the hotel who for 3 of our 4 nights were in and out of each rooms from 11pm to 2am and being very loud with no consideration for other guests. On our departure from the hotel at 2.45am they were all downstairs in the bar/reception area being extremely loud which the poor receptionist had to put with. Where was the leader of this group? Why was they up at this late and being loud? Why was the management of the hotel to sort it out? For this reason we will not be returning to this hotel again on our next visit to Krakow We didn’t use the restaurant as we found excellent and cheaper restaurants in the old town and the Jewish area too

Everything about this hotel was more than we had expected. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. There is a great little bar who were happy to make up cocktails for our group of 6. There is a snack bar which was handy for purchasing last minute snacks if you are going on a trip. Our rooms were on the top floor (6th floor) with lovely river views. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels were provided every day. There is tea and coffee plus they give you a bottle of still and a bottle of sparkling water every day. Breakfast was great! A fantastic selection of continental and cooked items as well as cereals, fruit, pancakes and fresh rolls. We visited the spa one afternoon. There is a sauna and a steam room as well as a pool. We knew in advance the jacuzzi wasn’t working. Our only (minor) grumble was that the water was very cold so we didn’t linger! My husband and I had dinner our final evening in the hotel restaurant which was excellent. The location of the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the Jewish Quarter or about 25 minutes walk to the old town. Ubers are only about £4 though so it’s not a problem. There is also a large shopping centre 5 minutes away. We had a fantastic stay at The Hotel Galaxy and would highly recommend it if you are looking for a comfortable stay in Krakow

We did this as a last minute trip. We got a suite which we thought was great value. Very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed breakfast thought it was a good spread, maybe if you’re a fussy eater you would struggle but there was a good variety so I feel like it catered to everyone. The spa, pool and jacuzzi were great and we really made the most out of making it a relaxing break too. It is a bit of a walk but taxis and public transport are so cheap and reliable that I don’t feel like it took up much of our time. I found the staff relatively friendly and helpful. If we got such a good deal there again I would choose this hotel too but only if we got the suite again!

Booked a 4 day trip for my daughters birthday emailed hotel a week before requesting a twin room over looking the river on one of the higher floors if possible they advised they would do there best to accommodate. Arrived at hotel given room on 5 th floor happy days. Opened room door to find on double bed not really suitable for Dad and 20 year old daughter .. Phoned reception who was helpful few mins later gave us twin room on 2nd floor Thursday night music playing ALL NIGHT until 7am - contacted reception they said it would get turned down .. Friday the same all night until 7am ( no exaggeration ) - contacted reception they advised come a collect some ear stoppers which I then visited reception and lady looked at me blank saying they had none! Saturday even worse. I spoke to reception again and they offered to change my room on Sunday night we had been out all day at zacophane and thermal baths ( great trip) and was too tired to change we were leaving Monday anyway. Music still playing on Sunday although not as loud. The pool and sauna was nice jacuzzi was broke and steam room not working very well. Location a bit out the way for the old town but I was aware of that anyway taxis are so cheap.. Breakfast quite poor no egg station bacon intermittent did not really cater for English clientele in my opinion No milk or creamer in the rooms for drinks. Very dissapointed with this hotel and had very little sleep for 4 nights was glad to get home for some peace. Other than that krakow is a lovely city and will return but not to the disco hotel in the galaxy of noise.

The good - the pool and jacuzzi was fantastic although chlorine was high but it was lovely with water jets, fresh towels supplied and very clean. So refreshing after a long day out walking. Breakfast was great and the staff in the restaurant were very helpful cooked and continental and the range of food choices is immense. If you are looking to visit the highlights of Krakow then contact Kajetan Sosenko tourist sales manager krakow@krakow-tours.pl highly recommend …done Auschwitz no words can describe Auschwitz 😢 and the salt mines wow fantastic and would highly recommend the miners tour. If you are looking for a personalised experience and a great price then email Kajetan ask what tours they can provide and also food dining🇵🇱 Eating out this is a Must….. Book before you leave the UK Starka restaurant you will not regret it highly recommend the beef cheeks and dumplings they have homemade vodka with lots of different flavours …. coconut…starka.booking@gmail.com. Jozefa 14 The bad - need more tea and coffee in rooms and turn the fridge on before guests arrive! location location about 30 min walk to the main area of Krakow. We emailed prior to arrival if we can have a room with a bath stated that no email received stated that they will have to make a phone call to check if they have a room with a bath not sure who they had to ring and this was concerning that they did not know what rooms were occupied and what rooms were not comforting to know in an emergency not. Besides this came back and said no bath. Hotel was quite empty always in lift on your own and only 4 tables of people at breakfast so unsure who had all the rooms with a bath. Reception team I don’t know what to say they so unhelpful zero customer service don’t know any information about the area and their own country. Unsure if they don’t know which I’m sure they must know something so presume they can’t be bothered. No smiling no welcome to the galaxy hotel no welcome to Poland etc nothing. Owners if you want to progress then you need to get rid of the reception team get a new team in and Pay someone to train them. The ugly - will we return to Poland yes as this is our second trip would we return to Galaxy No but would re book with the tour guide and definitely eat again at the strarka.

We stayed for 4 nights and had an amazing stay. We had a twin room and 2 double rooms, which were all super spacious and comfortable. Beds were fantastic, plug sockets next to every bed and the air conditioning was perfect. It was super hot the days we were there so it was lovely coming back to a cold room. Breakfast was nice, lots of choice and all cooked well. Bar wasn't the cheapest but it's a hotel bar, and the drinks were gorgeous. I'd definitely stay here again, without a doubt.
