We have just returned from a city break in Kraków. I decided to book with ibis as it’s a name that I am aware of and I have used ibis before. I paid for a bed and breakfast option and stayed for 3 nights. The hotel seemed to be really quiet but I expect this is from the Covid situation. The hotel was basic but I wasn’t expecting too much from the price I paid. The rooms were really basic but clean. We had complimentary water and the room comes with a hairdryer and soap on the sink and in the shower. A couple of downsides, the mattress topper had a plastic coating which really wasn’t comfortable to sleep on. Again, this could be down to the Covid situation so not sure if this is a permanent addition. There are also no drink facilities or fridge. It would of been nice to be able to make a coffee but not the end of the world. The hotel is well prepared for Covid. There are hand sanitisers dotted around, limits number of guests allowed in the lift and rooms are left empty for 24hrs. The breakfast was served by a member of staff. It was a standard breakfast of cereal, pastries, yoghurt, meats, cheese and a few hot items like scrambled eggs so it was pretty simple to get something to eat. They are very strict of face masks and they have to be worn entering the hotel and whilst in the foyer or restaurant until you get to your table. The hotel bar is reasonably priced and they serve food throughout the day if required. The hotel itself is around a 15 minute walk from the town centre and there is a massive shopping centre within a few minutes walk so it’s fairly good for location. There are also tram and bus stops right outside. We were due to check out at 10am so we packed up and went to reception to use the luggage room, we were told this was closed due to Covid but we were allowed to keep our room until 5pm at no extra cost so this was an added bonus. Overall, not a bad place to base yourself for a few days just don’t expect too much in terms of extras.

First off the location to this hotel is excellent it’s still a short walk to the centre ( ten mins) but it’s away from all the noise, this is the reason we choose this. The restaurant serves lovely food with cheap beer ( around £1.90 a pint )
Yes the rooms and bathrooms are small but this is common while travelling in Europe the staff are great any problems they will be more then happy to help sort it out.
For the prices they advertise per room per night I recommend this hotel!
Will be returning 100%

My wife and I stayed here for two nights for Sylwester after a train trip south from Warsaw. The hotel is in a good location near to Kraków’s main railway station and large shopping centre. The Old Town is only around a fifteen minute walk away. The room we were given was quite small with no carpet and was rather soulless and uninspiring, but nevertheless was clean. The bed was comfortable but had very small pillows which did not make for easy relaxing. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room nor any fridge. The bathroom was small but functional and well lit with a good shower, and a hairdryer and shaver socket are fitted. Breakfast was pleasant, not a massive choice but what was there was nice, with small cakes and pastries, and fresh tea and coffee were provided.

1st impression friendly welcome clean room but basic. No kettle. Bar staff who cant make a decent cocktail then charge you in pounds instead of slot without giving you a choice. They make more money this way and it costs me more. Last day room was not cleaned. Every morning at 6.30 am staff stand in hallway outside our room talking loudly waking us up.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights on our first visit to Kraków. The location is quite good, 10 minute walk or so into the old town and about 5 to the train station. The rooms are very basic and had a few issues. The toilet flush was constantly getting jammed so we had to keep fixing it and the walls were paper thin! We were next to a store cupboard and could hear them moving bottles and bags around 7am! The staff were friendly on check in and we enjoyed a few drinks in the hotel bar. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay here again as it just felt a little too basic and you could probably get nicer hotels closer to the old town for a similar price.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, next to the train station and one of the largest shopping malls in the city and also close to the old city. Smiling and friendly service, quick check-in and check-out. If someone does not want to eat breakfast in the hotel, there are many dining options in the shopping mall. The train to the airports from the station takes less than 20 minutes.

The hotel has a good restaurant with a small but nice selection of food..
The furniture, the floor in the room is a bit worn down. Although the rooms are "non-smoking" rooms, the smoke detector was covered with tape. If I do not inform them about it, the tape would still be there. The personal was always very friendly and supportive.

The hotel was clean, staff were friendly. As for the room we stayed in, it was perfect for what we needed. We spent most of our time out and about, so it was only about our night’s sleep that mattered. Beds were really comfortable, shower was good, and the general size of the room was ideal.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, only a few minutes walk away from the main shopping mall, which includes the main train station, and only about a 10/15 minute walk to the main square. Some of the buses and trams even stop right by the hotel, so days out were really easy to plan.

What is the difference between Ibis Krakow Stare Miasto and Ibis budget Krakow Stare Miasto

1. the size of the room. I dont have the actual dimension but there is VERY limited room to move around in the budget version.

2. in budget version, the sitting toilet and shower room are different. when combined, the surface area is smaller in the budget version.

3. there is no desk in the budget version. there is also no hair dryer. i dont remember whether there is a narrow standing cabinet in the budget version.

Both are next to each other and they are located 5 minutes walk from the train/bus central through Galeria Krakowska. It is very convenient to get public transport. There is a bus/tram stop known as Politechnika just outside the hotel

However, it takes us at least 15 minutes (good walkers, mind you) to reach the old town square centre.

Given a choice, I prefer paying slightly more for the non budget version. It is definitely more comfortable unless you are singles and want to back-pack. The staff was obliging - lending us the EU plug/socket, electric kettle. And there is accessible water dispensers with sparking water in the lobby and on some/all floors. Internet wifi is excellent

We stayed at the ibis krakow for 4 nights. The hotel is in a perfect location near the main Glowny station. Which is where the train from the airport arrives at. The train is about £2:50 and takes 20 minutes. For easy access to the hotel walk to the end of the platform in the direction you came from on the train. Walk down the subway and turn left. At the top of the stairs is the ibis budget and the ibis hotel. The rooms are nice and clean with what you need for a short stay. We requested a kettle at reception and one was brought to our room. We had taken our own travel cups and coffee. The breakfasts in the morning are standard European fare. Scrambled eggs hot dog style sausages salad cheeses hams and pastries, fruit juices and hot drinks. The hotel is 2 minutes walk to the main Galleria shopping centre, a 3 storey building with everything including a food court. At the far side is a short walk under the subway to the main tourist square. All in all I would recommend the ibis hotel for its value and definitely its location. I’ll be booking again for another stay in the ibis. 👍
