I stayed here for 4 nights while on a tourist visit to Krakow and Auschwitz. I chose this budget option as it was close to the main train station and easy access for the airport. 17 zlotys each way and tookbabout 20 mins. The room was fine, albeit very small, but i was on my own, so it served the purpose I needed. The staff were all friendly and helpful. You could book breakfast, but I did not use that option. It was only about a 15 minutes walk into the Old Town and main market square. There was a large shopping complex right near the hotel with plenty of food outlets, and also connected to the main bus/ train station. The hotel is basic, but ideal if on a tight budget. I would recommend it.

This is very good option for solo travelers. Hotel is in excellent location just few minutes walking from train and bus station. My room was very nice and breakfast was also good. From hotel, you can walk to almost every location of interest in Krakow. I recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for 4 nights in room with additional bed(for 3 people), but stayed alone. Very spacious room, wich i did not expect from budget hotel. Very nice furniture in the room, nice beds. I loved that everything was clean, high quality of room service. It was quite busy at night, but it was because of guests, really annoying, but it was New Year time, so probably most of people came to party. But it is more about guests than hotel. Nice destination, close to Main Railway Station, Rynek Glowny.

Very economical, great location at a good price. 3 minutes walk from a big shopping mall; bus terminal and train station, and old city centre. A train ride away from the international Airport. Cozy room with all amenities as needed for two adults. Firm mattress made it for a great sleep. Buffet continental breakfast was a great bonus. Free wifi. Was able to store luggage after check out. Only challenge was no hairdryer in the room. Available at reception but all were checked out when required it. Minor inconvenience with a very messy hairdo in the morning. Will stay here again.

Booked for a 4 night trip to krakow in October, for us was okay stay, we spent more time out then in due to visiting different places so was ideal: Positives: - next to train station, subway, tram and busses - cheap -close to amenities - reception staff were lovely and housekeeper we briefly spoke to. - room looked clean and tidy. Negative: - shower and sink next to bed. - pillows like cotton balls stuffed in there. - torn bedding. - no aircon ( was hot when we stayed) - no bar (personal wish and I understand it’s a budget hotel) - small rooms - no kettle or iron ( would be great to even just have a kettle) - due to room size limited storage - not most comfortable bed It’s a budget hotel so wouldn’t expect much but changing the pillows, better beds and sheets, kettle in room and a bit of an update would make it a great stay for the price. Stayed in room 517

I stayed at Ibis budget Krakow Stare Miasto for two nights! For the price, the hotel location and amenities were spot on. First off, location - the hotel is a stone's throw from Krakow Glowny, the main train station (at most a 5 minute walk). [Note on how to reach the hotel if arriving by train: when you're standing on the platform, head towards the down ramps at the far end of the platform you're on (there will be one on every platform) and you will enter an underpass/tunnel. From there, turn left, until you reach the end, turn left again, climb the stairs immediately on your left and voila! There is the hotel entrance! You should be able to see the hotel quite clearly from the outer train platforms. I have attached a photo for reference]. For me, the hotel location was perfect, as I had wanted to take the train to and from Oswiecim (to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau), as well as explore the Old Town and castle. Oswiecim is an easy 1 hour train ride from Krakow Glowny, and Old Town is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel! The castle complex is well worth a visit - simply beautiful! Also, I walked to Kościuszko Mound (roughly 3 km outside of the Old Town), a unique hilltop mound and monument, for views of the city! Entry fee was 24 Polish Zloty for one adult. It was a unique attraction to explore! There is a bus that goes right to the mound, should you not want to go by foot (the details of which I am unsure of, sorry). The room was basic, but this is what I both paid for and expected. I wanted no frills, budget accommodation for two nights. The room was right on space, and as others have said, there is no luggage storage in the room (only the floor). I travel light, with only a small backpack, so for me this was fine, but if you have 1 or more large suitcases, the space of the room will be a struggle. The bathroom was clean, the towels were fresh. The layout of the room was certainly different. As others have commented, the toilet is behind a separate door, but the shower is out in the open, with only a glass door. I was traveling by myself, so this was not a problem for me, but if you're sharing accommodation, keep this in mind (lack of privacy in the shower). The sink is also in a strange location, between the toilet and the shower. The light in the toilet is motion sensor, which was also new to me, but no other lighting in the room was like this. There was a large dispenser of hand soap as well as an in shower dispenser of hair and body gel. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable. Bedding felt clean and the pillows were perfect firmness. There was a small lighting control panel above the bed, which I appreciated when I had to get up in the middle of the night. The room had a wall desk and two small stools. A TV in good working order, with limited, but functional channels. I managed to find one news channel in English and that was it (France 24 in English). It basically played the news on repeat every hour, so now I'm an expert on that particular news cast. There were 2 small bedside tables as well for your phone and a charging port below. Air conditioning worked very well, and wifi signal was strong throughout the hotel. A fridge and a kettle would have been nice perks, but I didn't expect these amenities so I wasn't disappointed about the lack of either. Breakfast was basic, but it had everything I needed (starts early at 6:30am, which I appreciated!). The hotel had an automatic coffee machine which dispensed coffee according to your preference (cappuccino, americano, espresso etc.). On breakfast offer was: cold boiled eggs, a selection of cold cut meats and cheeses, whole apples for takeaway, fresh sliced vegetables, cottage cheese, yogurt, cereals and cold milk, hot sausages (this was the only hot offering!), a selection of breads and pastries, with accompanying spreads, and some cold dishes I couldn't discern (egg salad maybe!?). Overall, the breakfast was basic, but expected for an Ibis budget chain. The train station houses many small restaurants, cafes and shops, including two medium sized supermarkets - Carrefour and Biedronka (yellow banner with a happy/smiling lady bug). Both supermarkets had canned and fresh foods available, however fresh fruits vegetables were limited in variety and abundance. I was able to only find the basics like tomatoes, cucumbers etc. I made it work for 2 days! Otherwise, the supermarkets are fairly well stocked with all you could need for your stay! The staff were courteous, professional and helpful! Since I arrived early in the morning by train, I was able to storage my luggage free of charge in a locked storage room. Overall, I had a pleasant stay here. On the basis of location alone, I'd certainly stay here again!

I had a mixed experience with this hotel. The hotel itself is good, with comfortable rooms, nice amenities, and a great location. However, my stay was dampened by an unfortunate encounter with one particular employee who was exceptionally rude. The front desk manager Anna made my experience truly unpleasant. This individual was dismissive, lacked basic courtesy, and I’d say even rude. Despite the excellent facilities, the negative interaction with this employee significantly impacted my overall impression of the hotel. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue to ensure future guests have a more positive experience. Despite the subpar encounter, I must acknowledge the hotel's other employees who were polite and attentive. In summary, the hotel itself deserves praise for its amenities and location, but improvements are needed in terms of staff training to ensure consistently excellent service for all guests.

room was great, nice clean and housekeeping was their everyday, location not too bad about 10-15 mins walk from main square, breakfast had only two hot items sausages and scrambled egg and some pancakes so can improve on it as the price was 50 pl which is like £12.50 and you can get a lot in that price. apart from this reception staff was very helpful. over all satisfied and will visit again.

We always stay in a basic hotel. We only use it for a base to sleep and wash. Over all it was good. Bed was comfy, pillows weren’t great but we asked for some more and we got them. Air con doesn’t seem to change temperature, so luckily for us it was cold outside but having the window open meant we heard absolutely everything! Grand scheme of things that’s not a deal breaker, as we really liked the location. Huge shopping centre with so many places to eat! Breakfast we didn’t enjoy due to lack of hot options, but it was ok. The price I paid over all for two nights with breakfast was a steal, if I had paid more I would be more disappointed.

Just down the road from the main station and shopping mall. Train from the airport is just 15 mins to the station so a quick transfer over. Short walk to old town so everything easily accessible and tram lines just outside so can access city easily. Decent rooms and nice staff. Good base for a busy break in the city. Excellent location!
