Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent hotel in perfect location. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Fortunately they speak excellent English as we don’t speak Polish. The reception area is beautiful with a stunning staircase and stained glass windows. It is very old and the floorboards very squeaky, as has been mentioned before. The decor is old fashioned but charming m. Our bed was so comfortable and the room very quiet. I would have liked to find at least one English language (other than Bloomberg) news channel but that’s only a very minor point. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the shower hot and powerful. We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on that but it looked nice. The hotel is in a perfect location right opposite the beautiful theatre and just a 5 minute walk to the main square. As it is in the restricted old town area you have to go to a different meeting point for excursions but that is also just a 5 minute walk away. There are plenty of lovely bars and restaurants close by if you don’t want to go to the main square. All in all this is great place to stay for a short visit to this beautiful city.

This hotel is completely spotless, our room was incredibly clean. We had a twin room which was a great size with a modern bathroom. The hotel itself is very impressive with a beautiful grand stair case and stain glass windows. It was lovely, staff friendly as well. It’s minutes away from the main square and shops but tucked away and not on a busy road. Our room was perfectly quiet! I would recommend to anyone heading to the beautiful city of krakow

We had just arrived at this hotel, no issue at all with hotel but had a nasty experience buying milk at the local shop (zabka) Address Ul. Szpitalna, Krakow, Poland, 31-024 Just along from pollera hotel. Not only did this horrid shop assistants try and swap our in date milk with out of date milk, she then short changed us quite a lot. A lovely polish lady tried to reason with her but when we asked her to ring police the blond frizzy haired women behind counter called in two security men to scare us. Not a nice start to a holiday with my dad, we only wanted to but milk for the cup of tea we needed 🤦‍♀️ Thank you lovely polish lady and the two Russian men who tried to reason with this thief of a shop assistant, people visiting this hotel please be aware of this shop.

Beautiful building, large room and lots of old, large furniture pieces. Creaky floorboards, lovely bathroom, very clean and a comfortable bed. Very friendly helpful staff. In the old town and easy to get to all the interesting places and 15 min walk to station.

The most wonderful traditional hotel. Wonderful because it has a charm that other hotels have lost through modernization. Not to say that the Pollera is in need of updating, I hope they don't do anything to change the way it is. The front of house team are very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The room were in had an updated shower room, again it was spotless. Since our last visit they have changed the breakfast room arrangement. It's now VERY good. The offer is comprehensive and delicious. It's hard not to eat too much! The location can't really be bettered. It's close enough to the main square to be convenient yet it isn't bothered by noise and traffic. I wouldn't choose anywhere else to stay in Krakow. We will be back! Matt

Hotel Pollera was such a pleasant surprise. Usually when I travel, I enjoy a bit of a splurge on four-star accommodation, but in this case most hotels were either fully booked or simply out of my price range. For a three-star, Hotel Pollera delivers exceptionally in a number of key areas: - It is immaculately clean. My room, a cozy single bed with a wardrobe and desk, was just what I needed. - It absolutely has charm! I didn't know the history of the hotel until I arrived. It's beautiful and you can tell the staff take great pride in its upkeep. I arrived on December 1st and the lobby was well-appointed with poinsettias and festive garland. If you're into modern furnishings, I'd say this is not the place for you. My room (and others I saw when walking past/taking a peek) are traditionally Polish. Wallpaper, carpet, dark wood, crucifix on the wall, etc. - Staff are generally pleasant, and there is someone at reception 24/7. In terms of cons, a few reviewers mentioned noise and I'm inclined to agree. The walls are quite thin, but I found most of the guests observed the "be quiet by 10:00pm" rule. Also, I sleep with earplugs and once those were in, couldn't hear a thing. My mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Like, spring-in-my-back uncomfortable.

Great location! The cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, everywhere was immaculate. Staff were great too. Only slight downside was the noise at night but otherwise perfect! Never had breakfast so can’t comment on that

Pollera is in a perfect location. A short walk from the train station and an even shorter one to the main square of old town. The hotel itself has a wonderful old fashioned decaying decor that takes one back eighty years or so. It is very clean, has good sized rooms with comfortable beds and is nice and quiet. Staff are polite and friendly. Don't expect four star modern with a fridge and pretty bottles of smelly stuff in bathrooms, you won't get it. What you do get is free bottled water, coffee and tea makings and an ambiance well worth its three stars and probably a little bit more.
