A nice, inexpensive hotel less than 5 minutes easy walk to the city square. My single room was pretty basic but very comfortable. Shower compartment small but adequate, bed very comfortable. There was a kettle provided (but just 1 sachet of coffee and 1 tea bag per day, no milk.) Breakfast was fine with a good selection of cooked and cold items. Didn't eat other meals at the hotel - there are lots of really good traditional restaurants a short walk away ,but avoid the overpriced ones around the square itself!)

We were on the top floor and the room was very spacious. Plenty of space. Large double bed, huge sofa, further separate seating area and a balcony. The room was spotless and the shower had nice hot water and good pressure. Our towels were replaced daily and the room was cleaned daily. We found the hotel in general to be of a good standard answer very clean. The staff that we came across also were friendly. The hotel is situated straight across the road from the main square making it ideally situated. Less than 2 minutes and you’re in the old town. It can be a bit noisy late at night and early morning with the trams rumbling past. There is a shop under the hotel that sells everything and is open daily 7am - 10pm. Only downside was the breakfast was terrible. That bad we found it inedible and walked out. I had paid for breakfast for our full stay but chose not to eat there. Other than the food the hotel is good. Book room only and eat out. There are amazing restaurants all round the square and reasonably priced.

I stayed at the Wyspianski with my wife for 4 nights early April. Starting with the Positives, the Hotel is well Located a short distance from the Main Square close to the old town, an abundance of bars and restaurants, the main attractions and tram. The hotel is modern and appears to have been recently refurbished including Our room (269) which was in an adjoining building and overlooked a side street. The Room was an average size. The Negative’s were that the central location meant that at night it could be noisy with late night revellers returning home and sirens from the emergency services. The room though modern lacked sufficient storage space with only 2 drawers and a tiny wardrobe, ok for an overnighter but nothing longer. There was no bedside drawers only a small table. The bathroom lacked any shelving to place belongings. There was no safe. We were told Tea & Coffee making facilities could be requested at Reception Free of Charge, once ordered they arrived very quickly but were missing any milk, when I asked about this at reception was told the hotel didn’t have this even though milk was available in the main restaurant daily, so this wasn’t any good for us Brits. We were on a Bed , Breakfast and Evening Meal basis but both the breakfast and evening meal were mediocre, the only egg available at breakfast was scrambled, the only sausage was the frankfurter type and there was no bacon. There was a selection of bread and jams and limited selection of fruit. The 3 course evening meal consisted of soup each day which was excellent but the main course was bland at best as was the desert so can’t be recommended. Finally, I found the reception, bar and restaurant staff to be surly and unfriendly. They don’t smile or appear happy in their work, not one of them engaged with us or attempted any conversation, they were purely transactional, not what you’d expect in hospitality. Maybe this is a cultural hangover from the communist days but Poland is now in a Free market Europe and needs to sharpen up on it's service offering. In summary, I cannot recommend this hotel on anything other than the convenient location, hence the 2 star rating.

‘Greeted’ abruptly at reception. A late check in with a smile wouldn’t have gone a miss! Room small but perfectly adequate. No air con so in summer wouldn’t be fun! Couldn’t open window at night due to a bar over the road that was very loud! We were on level 3 and every morning at 7am we were woken by the cleaners hoovering and talking loudly outside our room, this was not acceptable. We asked for our room to be cleaned and all that was done was a poor attempt at making the beds! The used glasses were not replaced and nothing cleaned. Lots of stags so if you want uninterrupted sleep do not stay here. Location was great but sadly that’s all we appreciated, we would not stay here again or recommend it.

Hotel was very central great location, with a supermarket underneath, great for snacks and drinks for the room. My only recommendation to the hotel is a kettle would have been nice because a few trips are very early morning so no brew because breakfast was 6.30am, although they provided a take away breakfast with water which was great. Rooms are basic but clean, friendly staff, lovely food and plenty of smiling happy staff who where very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use this hotel in the future. ☺️

Great hotel in very central position. Breakfast very expensive and not very good. Very good room and great sleep. The main square is just across the road and the big shopping centre is 10 minutes walk away. The bed and pillows were great and we got 2 extra pillows straight after we requested them.

Spent four nights with four other couples, budget friendly hotel located only a short walk from the main square and all it has to offer. We were room only, so cannot comment on the breakfast or restaurant. Rooms are adequate but lack a safe or any tea/coffee facilities, although you do receive two complimentary bottles of water. There is a convenience store located next door, which sells all the essentials including fresh tea and coffee at very reasonable prices. Whilst we were there, large groups of schoolchildren were staying, although to be fair they were all well behaved. The in house bar has drinks at okay prices, although there are dozens of other establishments only a short walk away.

Very clean and tidy hotel with friendly staff but definitely wouldn’t recommend as beds are so uncomfortable. Stayed in a double room but was two single beds pushed together with terrible pillows and possibly the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on. Was thin and hard. More like a mattress topper. I’ve genuinely came home with a sore neck. The shower is terrible also. 3 things a hotel should have is a comfortable bed good shower and clean and unfortunately it only had one of the three so that’s why I wouldn’t stay here again. Very good location mind you but have stayed in Kraków a few times with the same closeness to the old town and same price but far better and better quality of sleep and shower.

Great location, great room, modern inside. However rooms are too hot with no option to alter your own temperature so we slept with the window open Staying on the front side of the hotel with a balcony be prepared for a noisy nights sleep.. the trams are never ending and NOISY! Breakfast is very poor. Cheese, ham, yogurt, toast, greasy scrambled egg and chopped hot dogs with onions and under cooker roasties is as far as hot food goes. Evening menu is poor we didn’t eat there on a evening once Hotel bar is very bleak. No atmosphere at all, no background music, bar staff look board themselves Reception staff as blunt and abrupt and make you feel like your putting them out if you have any questions. House keeping visited everyday, which is great but changed towels even day which was abit excessive under the currently climate situation. They came made the beds etc. Not a complaint as such just think towels could be changed maybe every other day. But location as I said is 10/10 for the old town square but you’d have to sacrifice the tram noise
