The Golden Tulip Hotel (City Centre) is in an ideal location for exploring all that Kraków has to offer. It is five minutes walk from the Town Square and wonderful local restaurants. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was very well appointed. We had bottled water (still and sparkling) supplied each day and the choice of hot and cold food at the breakfast buffet each morning was excellent. Dinner in the restaurant was a choice of traditional Polish food or Asian, both of which were excellent and very reasonable. I can recommend the chocolate soufflé with ice cream - heaven on a spoon! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was a bother to them. The porters were on hand whenever we locked ourselves out of our safe! (More than once!) and reception was happy to book taxis, trips and make sure our stay was an enjoyable one. I will definitely return to the Golden Tulip and can not recommend it highly enough.

Very impressed by this hotel, friendly simple check-in, the room was large with lovely high ceiling, the furnishings felt high-spec and well maintained and clean we stayed for 4 nights, the only draw back being the limited English speaking tv channels (only 1, a USA financial channel) but a minor point. The free WiFi worked perfectly, The breakfast had good choice, could have scrambled eggs toast, sausages (with bacon on alternate days) which meant I could assemble a British cooked breakfast of sorts! Again everything was clean and well maintained with attentive and friendly staff. On departure we were able to store our cases until our late departure flights which was very welcome. However on top of this is the brilliant location, about 2 minutes walk from the gorgeous old town with all the restaurants/bars/historic sites you would want or need. I fully recommend and would be very happy to return, if I get the opportunity.

We have recently returned from this lovely hotel and gorgeous city .
Hotel is in an amazing position, a few minutes away from main square. Rooms modern, clean , quiet and well equipped.
Ours was a little on the small side but perfectly adequate for us .
The bar was again very modern and bar person Anna made a real effort with every nationality.
Breakfast was served in well heated conservatory, lots of choice and even cooked items available.
We paid slightly more than most of other hotels on offer but had an amazing time and would recommend to anyone wanting to explore this amazing city and not have to worry about busses and trams .
Thankyou Golden Tulip x

We stayed here for 3 nights last week and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Krakow! It is in a great location, a short walk from the main square.

We checked in around 9.30pm and the staff on reception we’re really helpful. Breakfast was served 7-10am and there was a wide selection of food on offer; cereal, scrambled eggs, pancakes, fruit etc.

The room was perfect, a decent size and was spotless. It was cleaned every day, the only issue was there was only 1 pillow, but the next morning we mentioned this at reception and another pillow was sent up right away.

Check out was 12pm, which was handy for us having a later flight. We we’re also able to leave our bags and collect later on- which was very convenient. Staff we’re always very friendly and offered directions, maps, ring taxi’s for us.

We would recommend this hotel :)

We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in Krakow, we arrived at hotel around 11.00am and our itinerary papers said we wouldn’t be able to gain access to our room until 4pm so we were ready to leave our bags in the luggage room and go out to explore. But to our delight the receptionist said our room was ready and gave us keys. This was great, because we were able to go freshen up and un-pack before heading out to explore.
The rooms are clean and spacious with a modern feel, there is a kettle and tea & coffee available but no milk. However, there is a little fridge in the room, so we used the little shop on the corner of the street where we purchased milk and kept it in the fridge. There is not much wardrobe space and no drawers for clothes. I think this is a business hotel so not required as much. However, it didn’t bother us as there is a sofa which we used to fold our clothes on, and we were only there a weekend. The beds are quite hard, so I suppose it depends what your used to. I was so tired each night from exploring all day that I just fell asleep and we were up early every morning so again not a big thing for us. The pillows are very thin, and you only get one each, but if you ask for more, they bring them right away.
The hotel staff are so friendly and accommodating they helped us with anything we asked for, with no questions or issues. The maid comes everyday and does a really good job.
The breakfast was very nice, with a hot buffet and lots of cold choices. If you have an early trip out then they will put a takeaway breakfast together for you.
Great location for the Old Town literally 5 minutes’ walk and your there, but with the bonus of being in a nice quiet area.
Really enjoyed staying here and would defiantly come again.

This hotel is less than a five minute walk from the main square, Rynek Główny; it's in a perfect location, just across the Planty off a quiet street. The rooms face into the courtyard of the hotel, and whilst there's not much to see it makes for a quiet night's sleep. We seen there was a sister hotel in the Jewish Quarter.

The room was relatively large compared to other standard rooms we've stayed it. It was clean and spacious, with complimentary bottles of water. We think we were staying in a new part of the hotel as the decor was very fresh and there was plenty of rooms but not as many guests, even though we visited over the St Patricks Day weekend (March 2019 - I can't pick this date on the dropdown so I've put March 2020).

The breakfast each morning is a buffet, and there was a general selection of cold and hot food. You can book for dinner in this restaurant as well.

Nice hotel, not too big.
It took 10 minutes to get to the start of the square.
If you turn right out of the hotel, then LEFT, then at the statue/park you turn right, it takes you a nicer way to the square.
The room was good, clean and comfortable, maid came every day.
Might be a good idea to take your own coffee/whitener.
The reception were excellent, answered any questions, and helped in any way from ordering a taxi to explaining how to walk somewhere.
The bar was nice, though I have a bad back and struggled in the chairs, the lad behind the bar was friendly and spoke good English.
It cost about £2.50 for a pint of tyske lager, £5 for a cocktail,
They do deals on different days of the week.
Breakfast was polish, and I just ate toast with cheese.,
Taxis are really cheap, though you need to know where you're going, to explain to the drivers (we went on Google maps and shown the driver)
I would recommend an electric buggy tour , the long one around the Jewish quarter, ghetto, heroes square (we also got a taxi here from the hotel for £4) and Schindler factory, cost £40 for a private tour for both of us.
Th Jewish quarter (kazmier), ghetto heroes square and wawel castle are worth visiting, and in the main square, pay to visit the church, where the bloke plays the trumpet every hour on the hour.

Would I stay in the golden tulip again?
Yes, I think I would.

Thank you for an amazing stay! We have loved Krakow. Such a welcoming, clean, beautiful, interesting and hospitable city. And the staff at Golden Tulip were great. Helped us with taxis and visiting directions and were always polite and friendly.
Room was spacious, modern and clean. Could have done with another pillow or a thicker blanket but I'm sure if we had asked they would have accommodated. The bathroom and shower were really nice.
The breakfast was pretty decent bearing in mine it was included in the price, a mixture of hot and cold options, from various cuisines.
The location of the hotel couldn't be better. It's in a quiet road so the hotel is peaceful and relaxed, but it is about a 5 minute walk (a nice walk too) into the main square where everything is located. Theres a also a shop along the same road which is open til 11am, selling snacks drinks alcohol etc which was useful.
Overall, would definitely recommend. Hopefully this review was helpful to others!
