stayed 3 nights 14th-17th Feb, party of 4 females. Arrived at hotel and were met by fabulous efficient reception staff. As we arrived around 12 rooms we decided to have some food in the hotel restaurant and this was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for staff in bar.

The hotel was about an 8 minute walk to Old Town and at the edge of the Jewish Quarter. The hotel was quiet for sleeping and and truly a nice place to stay. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the area was also a good spot for a coffee or tea in the afternoon between

We’re just checking out of this fabulous hotel and I’m so sad to leave! It’s been amazing from start to finish, when we arrived we communicated with the hotel prior for them to arrange picking us up at the airport. Everything went so smoothly, then when we got to the hotel they

Stayed here as a mid-week city break with my wife and 4 other friends. We checked in no trouble, and were upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. The room was excellent, very spacious, large comfortable bed including some brilliant pillows. The bathroom was very spacious too,

Loved Krakow, we were there 7 days and enjoyed it very much for many reasons. Among them, it's not as crowded and commercial as Prague, (which we had just visited), eating out is a lot less expensive than Western Europe, and people were very friendly. Krokow is not a loud, touristy, Disney-type place, it's real, with real people living day to day life, and has a rich history. So weather you love it or not depends on the type of experience you want. We stayed at the Metropolitan, which was half way between the main town square and Kazimierz. It's a modern, beautiful boutique hotel. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. The hotel-restaurant was excellent as well. The street the hotel is on, is old and modest, but it's very safe, and just off a main street with public transportation. There's a small grocery store across the street which came in handy.I walked alone late at night several times and never felt unsafe (and I'm old and little!). There are many great places to eat in Kazimierz (about 5 minutes walking distance), and lots of little pubs were locals hang out. The center of town was about a 15 minutes easy walk along a main street. Regarding Auschwitz, many groups offer the tour so prices vary. We went with the tours offered by the hotel (about $45 US depending on exchange rate). Auschwitz has it's own guides once you get there, so you won't go through Auschwitz with the tour guide that picked you up at the hotel. Don't miss it, it's an experience you won't forget. I hope this helps! p.s. If you like vodka, make sure you do a vodka tour!!

Hi Elliemay, The area isn’t really charming, but I didn’t feel unsafe. Taxies around the city are pretty cheap and we drove to most places in the evening. Michelle

There were 6 of us so we booked transport with Kraków airport express directly to Auschwitz and back. That cost €150. We decided not to do a guided tour at Auschwitz and entry was free. (You can book online) we were very happy we didn’t book a tour as the exhibit has written explanations which were more than sufficient. The tours were seriously overcrowded. Also watch the Auschwitz documentary on Netflix for some extra info.
