Just stayed 3 nights and it is in a perfect location for access to the city centre (100m walk). Hotel was very clean, reception staff very helpful from booking a restaurant to providing extra pillows. Good breakfast, comfy beds and hot powerful showers. Try to get the top floor.
The Hotel Matejko is very good located, 3 minutes from the Kraków Glowny, and few steps from the Barbican (Old Town) near every thing and the detail that made a diference was the big wasthe room with 3 doors to the long balcony, fantastic view.
We have just come back from visiting krakow and stayed 3 nights at the matejko, first thoughts on arriving at the hotel were how clean it was second was hotel staff could be a little more friendly the reception lady wasn't very welcoming I don't think she cracked a smile the…

Perfect location for a tourist; between the old town and the big shopping centre / railway & bus station. Only a couple of minutes to walk either way! The room as well as the breakfast are worth of the price. Only minus is wifi that never worked during our 5 day stay!
"we stayed in 303, 3rd floor on the front over looking the square"
"we have booked 3 double rooms and apparently our room was the smallest so I believe most rooms are bigger than Room no 202"
"Choose a room with a street view"
"Try to get a room as far away from the church as possible."
"If you like having the window open you may prefer rooms at the back or opening west onto Place Jana Matejki as it is a much quieter street."
