Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have just returned home after a five night stay at the Bonerowski. Situated on the main square, it couldn't be better placed for exploring Krakow and people watching over breakfast or a drink. Yet, our room was wonderfully quiet. The hotel is very comfortable, there's a good selection of dishes at breakfast and staff are very welcoming and attentive.

Not convinced about the 5 stars. On the positive side, the rooms are lovely and the location is perfect. Unfortunately, the staff are generally ambivalent and lacking in warmth. Exemplified by the need to ask for a table to be cleared for breakfast. Breakfast is average and there is no lounge area for guests to relax in. In summary the hotel is worth considering if you get a decent rate but don’t expect 5 star service.

Lovely stay in this hotel, centrally located on the square which was ideal and near to train station with links to airport. Room was comfortable and clean with service each day; atmosphere lacking and bar closed early but possibly because not in season, however, we only had to step outside and atmosphere was fantastic. The main positive for this hotel (apart from location) is their staff, each and everyone was so helpful and friendly a credit to the hotel.

We have just returned from 3 nights at the hotel and from the moment we walked in to the moment we left it was a great experience. The staff are extremely friendly, polite and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The room was massive, clean and uniquely furbished with so much space and everything you would want or need. Our room was at the top of the building and the ceiling was all glass which may cause a problem in the summer but was not an issue for us at the end of March. The breakfast was very nice and tasty with a good selection and excellent service. Location wise the hotel could not be placed any better, right in the heart of the old town and on the main square. A perfect place to stay for a city break and I would highly recommend it.

We had an amazing stay until the morning of 17 March. When checking out we were asked to pay for a soft drink from the minibar we "purchased" of £3. We said we had not taken anything from the minibar. We didn't even know where it was! Instead of believing us or even investigating, immediately the receptionist's attitude completely changed. She became very hostile and accused us of lying asking a few times if we were "sure". This was unacceptable behaviour on her part and a terrible way to treat guests of the hotel. She made us feel very uncomfortable when she ripped the invoice in half and threw it in the bin. We did have a packed breakfast the day after we arrived as we left too early on our trip for breakfast. We bought back two unopened green bottles of water and two apples from our trip which we left on the dressing table in our room for whoever wanted them. This lack of understanding was very unprofessional.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It really is a palace, huge room and bathroom, our looked out onto the side street which was perfect as there was no noise from the square. The location is perfect on the main old town square, close to everything you need. The staff are amazing, can't do enough for you. We chose the room only option so weren't tied in for breakfast, however we struggled to find a good breakfast nearby and wished we had know that a different breakfast is available at the hotel other than the banquet offered with the room! We would love to come back to Krakow and would 100% stay here again.

The exterior of the building is beautiful and the location perfect. The rooms are clean and had character and charm . The rooms were very well sound proofed , and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were polite , and helpful . One morning a young male member of staff although polite seemed to be in no hurry to offer us drinks or a menu , dirty plates were left at the bar and it wasn’t busy . A young female however seemed more on the ball the following morning. The hotel had a magnificent chandelier. As the weather was beautiful I enjoyed sitting outside with my daily free coffee , reading my book . There was no coffee machine in the room which may be a disadvantage to some , but tea was available. We ate a couple times at the hotel for lunch and evening meal . I enjoyed the Caesar salad and fish dish . My husband enjoyed the polish soup which was in a large bread cob . The breakfast was the least enjoyable. The continental part was fine , with my husband enjoying a petit crème caramel to finish. The cooked part of the breakfast seemed such a shame . I had a bun which was stacked with bacon , cheese, tomato and scrambled egg and there was also salad . It was far too much and I hate waste . My husband had egg Benedict and it sat in the middle of a huge green salad , which he didn’t eat . We noticed someone else leaving the salad too . I would definitely stay here again .

I have not had the pleasure to stay in a room at the Bonerowski Palace; HOWEVER, the Restaurant is AMAZING! Alesk, a restaurant greeter (who speaks VERY good English) introduced me to their menu. That night I was looking for a steak. I took the recommendation from Alesk on which cut of meat and the waiters' recommendation on which Merlot Wine would go nicely with the steak. BOTH ALESK and the waiter were SPOT ON! I have been traveling Poland for a month and had steaks at other hotels; but this steak, WAS AMAZING! IT WAS THE BEST STEAK I HAVE HAD SINCE BEENING IN POLAND! The Steak was cooked perfectly! Compliments to the chef(s)! I would categorize this steak as FORK TENDER! From the Service to the presentation to the first bite, it was heavenly! The wine paired perfectly. Both these men presented themselves professionally, with a very strong understanding of the menu, selections of wines, and how to serve their guests. I was so impressed with the food and the service, I had dinner there the following night. Again, I was greeted by Alesk. I was so impressed with my dining experience that previous night, I simply asked Alesk to order me a fish dinner (whatever he recommended) and a glass of wine. He sat me at a table and I was greeted by the server who confirmed my order. I was set for another night of remarkable food and service. If you are in Krakow (Cracow) and miss the dining experience with Alesk and the staff at the Bonerowski Palace, you have missed the best part of Krakow!
