I’ve visited Warsaw on many occasions and stayed in quite a few different hotels. Hotel Bristol is an historic hotel, nicely situated close to the Old Town and parks. Rooms and public areas are tasteful and the hired meeting room well equipped with attentive service.

My stay was rather spoilt this time by a number of incidents. Whilst having breakfast in the the Bristol Cafe I was asked to move to another table to allow a group of ladies to move to the area in which I was sitting - it seems they didn’t like their original table. Half way through breakfast this is unacceptable!

An evening meal in the main restaurant was also spoilt. Frankly, the quality of dishes is very average. The waiter gave his ‘recommendations’ (of course the most expensive choices) but then spent time telling us of choices that weren’t, in his opinion, good! At the end of the meal he then returned and asked if I could give the tip in cash, rather than added to the bill! Overall disappointing - average food for the (high) prices and bizarre service!

Can't help but love this place. The location absolutely couldn't be better for tourists. Walk out and you are within a block or two of the heart of the old city. All public spaces and the room were high end vintage but extremely well maintained and did not feel old or outdated. Massive amounts of marble in the bathroom. Very comfortable bed and linens. Top end and generous toiletries and huge, thick towels. Breakfast spread was ample and tasty. All other food we had for room service and in the restaurant was good, though service for dinner was a bit slow. And front desk could use a bit more warmth, at least the guy who checked us in. Overall, I was very happy with our stay and thought the property has a well deserved place as one of the top hotels in Warsaw.

Good value option for someone looking for the above average hotel in the heart of Warsaw.
The staff was extremely fast and accommodating when asked for a newspaper, or options to get to the train station, and during the breakfast.
Breakfast choices were fantastic, although I did not find clear display regarding ingredients in deliciously looking pastries for people with allergies, so I had to skip them - still - had plenty of other choices.
If I wanted to be picky - The gym was closed in the evening and the third floor hall was under renovation (? carpet), what was a distraction during the holiday season. The hotel has such a rich history and this was a reason for my stay, but I could find little information about its history displayed. I wish Marriott International invested more in the hotel to display its history and beauty, as Bristol deserves.

Dear Sasanah, thank you so much for your review about our iconic Hotel Bristol, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Warsaw. I am glad to read that you had a perfect start of the day by our breakfast and you spent wonderful stay with us. In reference to your comments about the gym- our gym is open 24 hours every day, reception staff always mentioned during check-in that if you would like to use it, you have to use your room key, otherwise the locker is blocked. That is true that our hotel is full of amazing history and our Guests can feel it and touch it personally. We have amazing, experienced Concierge team who is more than happy when they can say something more about our property and is for Guests disposal 24 hours every day. What is more you can find there a book about Hotel Bristol with a lot of interesting and extraordinary stories- about the founder of hotel - Ignacy Jan Paderewski, about our property and about Guests. Our hotel is very unique and hide a lot of wonderful stories which could be a great basis for writers and movie scenarios. Thank you once again for your kind words and we do hope to host you again! I booked 10 night at suite, the hotel is absolutely a disaster, completely below value for money, the luxury collection hotel took a week to locate the general manager so I can speak to him! The only thing the hotel & the staff were capable of providing is apologies!

The hotel simply can't make an omelette for a breakfast, or a burger at night as the chef left, no in room dining service beyond cold club sandwich made 6 hours before!

The hotel reception which takes like 20 minutes to check a guest in, took USD 200 as deposit, but when I checked out Gosia, who is a nice girl, forgot to give me the deposit money back, she said her colleague didn't make any note of the money!

This place is a complete mess, where staff takes things personally & not deliver the ABC of hospitality standards, nor the value for money, I really think this hotel is a real example of how not to run a luxury collection hotel! There was nothing luxurious about an electricity issue in the suite or the rude answer from the in room dining, say that water won't be free!

The only luxury element the hotel can provide is the price! Taking guests for granted & offering apologies is good there, apart from that you are on your own exactly as if you were in hostel on the far side of the city!

Omg! The laundry was charged 23% service charge, for what exactly?

If you want a piece of mind & quality service, please avoid this place which apparently lives on the legacy of some past time.

Even the general manager who I thought speaking the same language of hospitality, didn't full fill any promise he made!

I have another stories about the director of operations & another story about the quality manager who is the most incompetent professional I have ever seen, offering sweet from hand held opened pack to my guests as if they were kids, while trying to fix electricity to make tea, but apparently not offering tea from the hotel till the problem is fixed! The most awkward person in hotel industry by far!

On the director of operations, he was like very proud that he never worked in Poland & that his experience is all about other places! His body language & attitude is somehow not fitting the brand or the industry! Very strange group of people in this hotel.

Finally why charging the price of London luxury collection hotel & then offer the service of warsaw luxury hotel? Why take the whole nation culture as an excuse for your lack of understanding or delivery of service, I think this is very wrong for the country & the establishment.

I think I will write a novel about this hotel.

Hotel Bristol is a part of a Luxury Hotel Collection from Marriott. This classification comes with some very high standards and should be the very best of service and amenities that Marriott has to offer. Not in this case. While the upgraded room was nice, it was not on par with other Luxury Collections my husband and I frequent often. The most disappointing part of the stay were the services and amenities. Their one of the kind bar was closed for a remodel, and in place of it they had a banquet room set up for a stuffy cocktail service not at all in line with what is expected in a hotel of this caliber. Secondly we asked the concierge to make dinner reservations for us, and his recommendations yielded food so awful it was inedible. It was brought to his attention and of course the typical "they are suppose to be an amazing restaurant" answer was provided. We are still in dispute with this restaurant over our bill 3 months later, and since they have gone out of business it is a loss. For those who do not know this, concierges get a "kickback" from all restaurants they send people to, so in this case the concierge made money on the dinner that made us sick. My honest advice is to stay at Ruffles across the street which is a real 5 star hotel with great bar staff and is an extension of the most amazing Ruffles in Singapore. The Bristol is simply an inferior hotel that does not offer the customer service expected from a Luxury Collection from Marriott.

The Bristol is an excellent choice for a visit to Warsaw, personal or business. The hotel is historical with a stylish and gorgeous interior. The rooms are comfortable and likewise attractive with many thoughtful touches. The service is consistent with the Bristol's aspirations and the breakfast buffet was very enjoyable. Similarly, the Bristol's cafe is a pleasant atmosphere and experience. Despite all these strengths, the hotel's location might be its best feature. Located a pleasant stroll from the heart of Warsaw's Old Town, its location cannot be beat for tourism purposes. The location is also not far from Warsaw's more modern downtown, making it also suitable for business trips, etc. You cannot go wrong with the Bristol. Be forewarned, however, that the Bristol's excellent location means you might be subject to the musical stylings of buskers on the street in front of the hotel till late in the evening.

The best hotel experience I've ever had. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, willing to offer us their services. The rooms were the definition of luxury and may be the most comfortable ones I've stayed. A very positive aspect is the fact that it was just a few steps from the city centre making our transition there very easy and cushy. I can't really find something negative about my visit. I definately recommend it!

From the minute we arrived we knew we had made the right choice for our short weekend break.
The location of the Hotel is within walking distance of the Old Town Square and all the attractions you would want to see. The exterior of the Hotel is grand and traditional and when you walk in the front door you get an immediate feeling of luxury. The public areas and restaurants are beautifully decorated and the high ceilings are impressive.
Our room was beautiful. It had a traditional feel but was newly refurbished so felt clean and fresh. The bathroom was stunning with white marble everywhere and the view of the park was good too. The double doors to the corridor meant no noise from people walking past the room and we slept so well. Luxury pillows and bedding helped too.
The breakfast was excellent, in the Marconi room which was delightful and the staff throughout our stay were motivated, welcoming and kind.
Highly recommend this property and we would love to come back. We even said we would happily come back and spoil ourselves just for the hotel.

Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Plenty of space, nice large bed and comfortable chairs pus a small table for dining/drinks etc.

Loved the size of the bathroom and the fact there was little hallway separately the bathroom and bedroom, also containing large wardrobe with a selection of coat hangers (padded, wooden and trouser versions!) and the safe/usual hotel items.

Overlooking the courtyard could have been a bit noisy but the only sounds were piano music and some light conversation; nothing obtrusive/late at night. Otherwise whisper quiet (not much noise from above or outside in the corridor).

Really enjoyed my stay here - everything was very comfortable, clean and stylish - and would be happy to return some day.

Elegant, historic, comfortable, old style. The staff was very courteous, the breakfast delicious. I also recommend the Marconi Cafe with the Bristol cake, which is delicious. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. This is a place for elegant people and likely the younger crowd will find it too old-fashioned.
They need to install more electrical outlets in rooms - these days everybody has several gadgets that need to be charged.

Cannot respond to your question. However, putting your concerns aside, there is only one place to stay in Warsaw, and that is the Hotel Bristol. Aside from the level of accommodations and with us it was a room overlooking the Royal Way, there is no other place in town that share The Bristol’s FIVE STAR location!

Between the Hotel Bristol and Old Town there are quite a number of sights to see. Steady walking will get you to the Old Town in ten minutes; however, if you stop at the many sights for photo-ops it could take you quite a bit longer. This area is very safe. The hotel is right next to the Presidential Palace.

Answer from ShareBear19

No dress code that I'm aware of. I did see some women at the front desk, dressed in what is now deemed "athleisure" wear. I would never walk around in public that way, but today it's considered acceptable. However, most guests are dressed in business/smart casual clothing.
