Location is the biggest positive about the hotel. In the heart of the city centre.
Nearby the main station and Palce of culture and science.
The hotel is very basic but clean and breakfast (basic) is included.
The staff members are friendly.

The hotel is dated and balcony in the room is very long and shared with other rooms.

The Hotel Mazowiecki is a treasure for its location and price: Mazowiecka Street is just a step away from Warsaw University and the Academy of Fine Arts and the elegant Nowy Swiat Street, leading to the Old Town. It's also nearby the National Theatre, the Zacheta Exhibition Hall and 10 minutes away from the metro station (Swietokrzyska). The central train station is 20 min away on foot. There are some shops with stuff for arts students and a few nightclubs at the same street (but it's quiet). So the location deserves six stars, not just five.
We got a very spacious room with basic but cozy and well kept furnishing. The staff at the reception were very polite: experienced ladies, friendly, calm, and relaxed.
There is a lift so no problem with taking your luggage to the higher floors.
The price is a bargain and its only justified by the fact that bathrooms are shared. They are clean and quite big, but you need to take into account that you will have to get out of your room to use one. That's the only inconvenience I had with this hotel, but we stayed there for just one night and that was totally bearable.
You have a restaurant downstairs and a foodstore in the same street, but if you want to have a nice coffee, cake or a special meal, just walk to Nowy Swiat or Foksal, easily reachable on foot and there are plenty of places there to eat.
If you need tickets for metro or busses or forgot your toothbrush, there is a newsagent's at the same street that sells all those things.

The street noise is a mood killer and a double nightmare for insomniacs like myself.

Really the location of this hotel is great as is the value but then again unfortunately for this hotel they just can't charge more because guests have to deal with all the street noise from the many clubs and bars down on the street below. Maybe if you request a room on the backside of the hotel the noise is not an issue. Aside from the noise I have no complaints about the rooms, beds, service nor even the shared bathrooms.

It's an older building that has had many updates inside including new windows which certainly must help a little in dampening the street noise.

I'm not gonna recommend not to stay here, just be aware that street side rooms on a weekend (including Sunday nights) are not ideal for light sleepers.

Hotel Mazowiecki is perfect if you want a hotel within walking distance of the historic Old Town of Warsaw without paying top prices. It's about 10-15 minutes walk from there and considerably cheaper than any hotel directly in the area. It's attractive, clean and the reception staff are helpful and speak very good English. The in-house restaurant serves absolutely delicious food and the menu includes many French dishes as well as Polish and others - it is quite expensive, but if that's not what you're looking for there are plenty of other places to eat nearby.

I stayed at the Hotel Mazowiecki in mid-October. The location was perfect - right between the main train station and the historic and charming Old Town, so about 10 minutes in each direction. I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but when I did, they were friendly. The room was simple, but clean and comfortable, and had everything I needed. The breakfast was also simple, but sufficient. If you are traveling on a budget and okay with a basic hotel, this place can't be beat!

Stayed 2 nights at €25 a night in very spacious and functional twin room on L3 with wash basin. Excellent location and a 4 minute walk to university end of Main Street. Very clean, a good style of hotel and reception staff were efficient. Lift a little on the slow side. Waited for 2 of my 3 showers but there is a separate toilet and bathroom was large enough and clean. Approx PLN 30 in cab from airport. Train station and Palace of Culture a lot closer. Mini market across the road and Subway around the corner. Maybe a 20 minute walk into the heart of the Old Town and the majority of restaurants. WIFI in room was working but poor and you couldn't use all apps constantly - have had a lot worse but also a lot better and speed was frustrating. Room quiet enough even with window open. No aircon or fan in room and have to say it was stifling and felt like a sauna even at midnight given current weather has been 37 degrees during the day. Made it difficult to relax after a hard days walking and also to sleep. Put a fan in the room and this is a very passable budget end option. Without it you are taking a bit of a punt on how hot it is during your stay or getting a breeze that I didn't during my stay.

First thing to tell is the location. Halfway between the centrum and the historical part. Everything you might need is located in the close neighbourhood. Good starting point for a day long walk along old streets visiting historical places.
There is a pub in front of the hotel, sometimes people smoking outside make little noise, but not disturbing at all.
Clean rooms and bathrooms! Nice decoration.
Although we were given a double room, we slept in a twin. That's the only 'negative' to say about it. We had a nice stay there. (No info about the restaurant, because we spent only a night there.)

Probably appropriately priced for what you get at a hotel in central Warsaw for about $100 for a double. The condition of the room is best described as worn, but it was roomy (and even had a 'fridge). The beds were more comfortable than they looked; the bathroom was rather seedy and could have used some updates. Not much soundproofing, so we were lucky there weren't many late night guests on our floor and that we didn't need to have the windows open. The breakfast was more than adequate. Our biggest problem was that we paid in cash and could not get a receipt. Next time we go to Warsaw we will pay a little more and stay someplace else.

We chose this hotel because of the location: 15 min walking from the railway station and about the same distance to the old town. The street seems to be full of nightclubs but we were sleepy so we did not hear anything. The room was very bleak (and unfortunately it was not possible to book a room with a double bed). Its not too much to ask: it would have been possible to brighten up with a nice photo on the wall. The TV was useless: no channels but Polish. The breakfast was fair: although there were no pastries or toasts that you can typically find in European hotels. The only option was instant coffee. However, the choice of cold cuts and salads was abundant. And the cheesecake was very good.
The bathroom was in the corridor. Luckily we did not have to wait.
Probably it was a fair price performance ratio. I do not know if i would stay there again but this experience was ok.

We had to use the meter for street parking. A couple of times were able to park across the street and then the other time had to walk about 1 1/2 blocks to and from hotel.
