The Hotel is close to the Old Town and also near cafes and restaurants. It is located in a countryard behind one of Warsaw´s main tourist streets. The only problem is the bars arrounding that are very noisy at night.

I stayed here with three family members in May, all of whom agreed this hotel should be given no more than 3 stars. There were a range of highs and lows od our stay here. Firstly, it was great to see they were environmentally conscious with their towel collection service, however the timer lights in the bathroom were an absolute pain - you press the button and the lights stay on for about 4 mins, which isn't good if you want a shower. Secondly, do not stay here if you're a late sleeper. Warsaw isn't known to be especially busy in May yet the noise on our first night woke me at 1:30am and kept me up until gone 4:30am, and I wouldn't say I was a particularly light sleeper either. A great point of this hotel was the location. You're close to a wide range of shops and restaurants, as well as Warsaw Central train station. The staff were also friendly and helpful. One point of improvement would be the bed linen - the sheets did not cover all of the double bed and therefore left sections of exposed mattress, which isn't ideal. It also would be great if there were kettles in rooms. The Wi-Fi is OK but a power surge, although not the Hotel's fault, meant we were without electricity for a short while. Be aware that they also do not turn the water in the rooms on until after 2PM, which is fine because that's the provided check in time, but not fine not to tell us. Picture all four of us desperate to go to the toilet after travelling but no flush - foul!

I stayed at the Chmielna hotel just for one night in July 2021. The hotel has a perfect position, not far from the very famous "stare miasto" (old town, about 15 minutes walking on the main road) and the centre of Warsaw. My room was very clean and comfortable. The 2 guys at the reception are very friendly and gave me info and tips about the town and where to go for shopping. When I'll come back in the future to Warsaw I will defenetly choose this hotel again! Price and quality in a perfect balance! Dziękuję bardzo!

It was my another stay over there . This hotel is actually very cheap comparing another around and location is perfect . There is a lot of restaurants and bars around so can be a little bit noisy sometimes . This time I choose single room . I was surprised because the room wasn’t big but the bed was quite big ( like double) and very comfortable . Room and bathroom very clean and tidy . Breakfast let me down a little bit . I think is overpriced now . Due the cov-19 there is not buffet anymore so they have limited items. I am pointing this only but my score is based on staying there .
Quick check in . Friendly staff.

Have just stayed in this hotel. Unfortunately the room smelt like a public toilet. Because we checked in late, we had no choice but to remain- we were offered the room the room complimentary, but unfortunately this was reversed in the morning !! So if you are looking for a room in Warsaw that smells like a baby’s diaper- this is the place for you !! Enjoy and take extra toothpaste to get rid of the taste when you wake up. Never again !!

The Hotel Chmielna is located in a courtyard behind one of Warsaw's main tourist streets (Chmielna), just one block from another of Warsaw's main tourist streets (Nowy Swiat). It's undoubtedly a great location. But it's a badly-designed, badly-managed, badly-run hotel. To start with, in this city where every cafe barista speaks fluent English, the hotel staff speak only broken English, not enough to handle simple questions like "where is the nearest supermarket?" or "where do I wait for the taxi?" The hotel offers breakfast -- in an adjacent underground bar, where a limp buffet is offered in a dried-beer environment. In my room, only a tiny top window opens, making the hotel hot and stuffy in May ... I can't imagine how awful it would be in summer. And I had mosquitoes -- in Warsaw!

The worst part, though, was the noise. Quiet courtyard, it is not. At all hours up until 2 or 3 am drunken mobs of young men singing (shouting) songs in Polish (?) surged through the courtyard. There was also very loud music at night (I couldn't identify the source, but it seemed simply to be the neighbors). And this was very night, Monday included, not just on weekends. I am not a light sleeper. The noise was extreme, and ran very late (as well as starting very early).

All in all, except for the location this is just a terrible hotel. I've reviewed more than 100 hotels online. This was in the bottom 5% of my experiences. Even without any one disaster, it was just a terrible stay. Avoid.

If you are looking for a hotel to be able to sleep (which I assume most people do) this is definitely NOT the hotel to go to.

Next door to a youth hostel and next to a courtyard filled with bars your chances of sleeping are close to 0% before 4-5am.

Never again...

To think that I almost skipped this hotel because of some nasty reviews, I thank God I trust my instinct instead. First, you cannot beat the location and price. Thiz is the most descent hotel you get for the price abd location just steps away from central. You can walk to almost anywhere and subways and trams are so close. I got very spacious room for superior with windows and great scenery. Breakfast is super nice at cafe next door and the hotel staffs are very htfor any requests. I found my home in Warsaw and will always come back again.
