Perfectly situated small hotel near the center of Bled, this property is nicely appointed with regional decor and wood elements that make you feel you’re in a mountain lodge. Rooms are large and well furnished. No coffee or refrigerator in rooms, but breakfasts are plentiful and delicious. Very friendly front desk staff.

What a little gem! Just half an hour’s taxi ride from Ljubljana airport. The hotel is a very pleasant alpine styled building. The rooms were clean and tidy with plenty of space (ours was on the front first floor, almost the size of 2 rooms) The ‘buffet’ breakfast has plenty on offer from cereals and fresh fruit to cold meats and cheese. You can get a hot drink 24/7 free of charge from the dining room. There are also alcoholic drinks available at a reasonable price (there’s an ‘honesty’ system in place, where you write down what you’ve had and settle up later) The town is a 5 min walk away with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The ‘Lake’ is also 5 mins away. There are bikes available, and as Luka says “don’t ask, just take” Luka (the owner) is great, a hive of information and is always ‘up for a chat’ If I had to be critical about anything… the WiFi was a little slow (could be just down to the amount of people using it) otherwise a faultless stay. We were here for 7 nights and loved every minute. I would definitely recommend staying here.…

Luka was extremely welcoming and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and our balcony was a good size. Breakfast was good and the home made croissants were delicious. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Wonderful hotel stay in Bled. This hotel is located in a quiet corner of Bled but only a few minutes walk to restaurants and the lake. The host is very helpful, the room spacious and well laid out, and the breakfast provides a great start to the day.

I cannot express enough my disappointment with this hotel. I had contacted and paid for a reservation in March with this hotel. I did not receive any confirmation of this reservation after this or notice that my payment was received. I later contacted Hotel Berc, thinking that this was the American name for this hotel, telling them that I needed to cancel due to developing Covid and complications that arose secondary to this. Hotel Berc acknowledged receiving this email, so I assumed that this reservation was cancelled. I ended up being charged 250.00 for my reservation at Penzion Berc even after I explained the mix up to both hotels as they are owned separately by two brothers. Considering my age, confusion, and illness I had hoped that I would be shown some grace. Instead, I was told that this was the policy, and my bill would remain. I cannot recommend anyone staying here.…

Dear Mrs. Joanna, writing in the name of GARNI HOTEL BERC I really dont know where is our fault , you canceled your reservation and we confirmed your cancellation. And it was done for us. At your reservation we also did not take any deposit, so we could not charge you. Your fault was that you booked another room next door in Penzion Berc which is NOT managed the same ,yes it is charge of my brother but this got nothing to do with Garni hotel BERC.It is different business. We discussed about this situation per e-mail and all the further discusion you should do with Penzion Berc. They have their own cancelation politic and conditions, Its got nothing to do with us. Stayed at this very clean family run hotel for 3 nights. Very well situated, 10 mins from centre and in a very quiet area while only 5mins to lake. All the staff makes you super welcome. The lady at the breakfast sees that nothing is lacking and never stops filling items which are finishing. They kindly, even offer a free tea and coffee making facility all day. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks Luca and all the other staff.

My sister and I spent 3 nights at this fantastic hotel in Bled Slovenia. All of the staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Each morning they had a full buffet breakfast that was delicious. It was conveniently located to all of the sights and an easy walk to the lake. The room was very spacious and clean and had everything you needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

We took a small group to stay at the Garni Berc Hotel and loved it. The location of this charming hotel is perfect and the staff was warm and helpful. Great breakfast too. For anyone who wants to visit Bled this is a great way to do it.

The usual warm and friendly welcome. Lovely breakfast spread. Unlimited cakes, cereals, cold meats & cheeses and small selection of cooked items. Room was serviced in their usual excellent way throughout the week. Any queries ask and they will endeavour to help. Just be careful Luka can chat for ages. Bled has greatly improved the walking and cycling routes over the years. Try the walk (or ride) from Bled to Vintgar gorge but dont forget you are already 1500 feet above sea level in Bled.

This charming, folkloric hotel is clean & neat, & sits in a quiet location a short stroll from the shore of romantic Lake Bled, restaurants and the town’s amenities. The rooms are spacious -some with balconies and window boxes full of flowers, and there is a sunny, cosy breakfast room with all kinds or delicious choices, overlooking a garden. (included in the stay, I think.) What will forever stand out to us is the helpfulness and kindness of the proprietor, Luka. He went overboard to help us with reservations, directions to the things we wanted to do and see -which really helped us make the most of our trip here… And finally- helping us mail items that we couldn’t carry. It’s a long saga, but this involved unbelievable assistance & care long after our stay. This is really like staying with friends, and stands out in all our European travels. We will always want to lay our heads here when we return!…
