You feel in this hostel like at home. Kitchen and badrooms is amazing. First time in my life I saw in hostel, a bathtube in the barthroom! In general really nice atmosphere with international variability.

Super clean, lots of space, lots of privacy and really cheap. It's also in the best location for restaurants and bars. An amazing find! Towels and locks were included in the price. I was really surprised to find this hostel.

Not only was Maverick Hostel to NICEST hostel I've stayed in by far. The staff was unparalleled. I accidentally left my nice winter coat there, and they were so amazing about it. I reached out, they kept it safe, and SENT IT to me in PRAGUE!! The people I met there were the sweetest, the bar crawls are a blast....

What else can I say. Excellent, helpful, friendly, incredibly handsome staff. A truly perfect location and a beautiful building. Please marry me and grant me citizenship, then I'll stay and sweep the floors.

Big rooms, bathrooms, friendly staff, self catering facilities and Netflix in common room. No complaints. Only suggestion: Reception should proactive suggest things to do, places to go etc. For example: Great breakfast at Bonnie is available in arrangement with Maverick. Was never told and had to read the boards (which is nothing to complaint about, but just something reception can...

Being a woman not far off 60 travelling with a daughter I emailed ahead and asked for a quiet room. We had a lovely room 7 which overlooked the back street and was so quiet we overslept two mornings. Being a person who can't walk too far this hostel was in a great location. The hop on and off bus...

I would highly recommend this hostel for a family group travelling to Budapest. The people location and surrounding area were all fantastic. Though there were big parties of young travellers ( often parting into the night) our room was on the top floor and the noise was fine. Budapest is a beautiful city with loads of interesting places to visit...

We stayed here two nights during our trip! The staff was very hospitable and our accommodations were clean and very nice. We also really appreciated being able to leave our suitcases for free at the hostel after we checked out. Great value for what you get - highly recommend! It's also conveniently located right next to the subway and bus...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
