District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

Dear la_cassc, Thank you very much for choosing to stay at our Continental Hotel Budapest and for taking your precious time to share your sincere experiences with us and the online readers. Needless to say, that we both appreciate positive reviews and constructive criticisms, as these help us to continuously develop and perfect our services. It pleases me greatly to know, that all in all you had a pleasant stay with us. I am glad you enjoyed the milieu of our hotel and the combination of modern art and historical elements. Great to read, that you enjoyed our high comfortable bed and you loved the authentic goulash soup prepared by our excellent chefs in our Araz Restaurant. If ever come back to Budapest, please do not hesitate to return to take part on our very popular themed dinner, called Hungarian Taste, which will be held regularly from the middle of March. I was terribly sorry to hear, that you did not find our hospitality to be enough friendly. Please, accept not only mine, but the sincere apology of our colleagues too for the inconveniences caused. Please, rest assured, that I take the appropriate steps in order to avoid similar occurrences in the future. I am sorry to hear your early check in was not possible due to the full house the day before and this situation caused you such a big problem. We would be honoured to have a second chance to better serve you and show you how excellent service we are capable of to provide. Best regards, Zoltán Géher General Manager

Smooth check in although we were early. Hotel is in the centre of the city making everything accessible. Didn’t really need any help from reception staff, however they were very helpful with questions. Rooms were on the small side however it’s not much of an issue as we weren’t

Dear Jenessa R, Let me express my great appreciation for you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the trouble to share your Continental Hotel Budapest experience. It is wonderful, that you were content with the smooth early check-in provided and appreciated the attentive attitude of our friendly staff. As for your room size; please note, that we have four different room types, so for your greatest convenience I suggest you to book a deluxe or executive room next time. I was thrilled to learn, that our rich buffet breakfast met your expectations and you are right, it could be sometimes crowded, so suggested to come in the early hours to avoid the peak period. Finally, many thanks for highlighting our Gallery Drinkbar with the excellent drink selection. Thank you for highly recommend our hotel for fellow travelers. We look forward to welcoming you back, hopefully in the not so distant future. Warm regards, Zoltán Géher General Manager

Dear julias19111994, Thank you very much for choosing to stay at our Continental Hotel Budapest and for taking your precious time to share your honest experiences with us and the online readers. Starting with your positive remarks, it fills me with happiness, that you loved our great location and appreciated the excellent job of our Reception staff. On the other hand, I am terribly sorry, that your morning rests were not as peaceful as you expected. I am glad, that you appreciated our compensations and let me again sincerely apologize for the caused inconveniences. Despite your assumption I have to reassure you that the second hammering was really from the neighbouring building. Although there is currently some renovation works are on in an isolated wing of the hotel, no noisy works are alound on weekends. I heartily hope, that your overall stay was pleasant and you left us with nice impressions. We would be happy to welcoming you back and accommodate you in a completely renovated, beautiful room. Hope to see you soon! Best regards, Zoltán Géher General Manager

Dear Sebastian B, First of all, thank you so much for choosing to stay at our Continental Hotel Budapest and for taking your precious time to share your sincere opinion. We really appreciate both positive comments and constructive criticisms too. These help us to continuously improve our products and services. On the one hand, I am delighted, that you were content with our hotel in many aspects and found it to be a good choice in price value ratio. Thank you for highlighting our advantageous location, entire cleanliness and impressive appearance. On the other hand, I regretfully noted, that our usually beloved and very popular breakfast offer was not really at your taste. I am very sorry, that you did not get a service as attentive as you expected. Please note, that we offer the breakfast in buffet style with self service and we vary the selection day by day to better serve our guest’s different taste. I am even more sorry, that you did not give us a second chance, probably you would have found dishes fitting to your personal taste. I pass your quality complaints to our Head Chef and we definitely take your words into consideration. Finally, please accept my sincere apology for any inconveniences encountered. I truly hope, that overall you spent a great time in Budapest and despite the above, your stay was satisfactory with us. We would be honoured to have a chance to regain your trust and show you how excellent choice we are indeed. Best regards, Zoltán Géher General Manager

Hello! Yes. They charge 8 Euros per person and hardly worth it. Cannot be described as a gym/spa facility.

It’s very simple. When you walk out the terminal their will be a taxi kiosk right there. They charge a fixed price and you pay the driver. You can use credit card. I think my trip from the airport to the hotel worked out to be 20 or 25 US. It’s super convenient. When going back to the airport download the foxytaxi app and it was about 20 US back. Hope this helps

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, The set price is 13.500 HUF (approx. 45 EUR) from the Airport to the Hotel, and 9.500 HUF (approx. 32 EUR) from the Hotel to the Airport, which will be paid directly to the driver upon arrival (either with cash or credit card). As I said it costs more going to the Hotel as the driver will wait as long as it takes for your flight to arrive, hours if needed. They will also take up to 4 passengers making it quite reasonable split between 4.
