This is a very comfortable and well-run hotel right on the banks of the Danube. Our modern, large bedroom had full-length picture windows with a magnificent view across to the Parliament building. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very functional. Breakfast, whether hot or cold, was generous and nicely served by pleasant staff. Reception was very helpful with bookings...

The room with the river view was fantastic! The room and all facilities in the hotel are well designed, this was one of the best hotel rooms we ever have visited. The afternoon tea/coffee was also very nice.

The hotel itself is fantastic -- amazing room with a fantastic view and probably the best location you could ask for, the biggest selection of teas in the room itself that I've ever seen (which really just shows a great attention to detail), a great bathroom, the works -- but what really made this hotel stand apart was the staff....

We highly recommend Boutique Hotel Victoria if you are looking for an excellent and cosy hotel in Budapest. The view from the room is fantastic and the placement on the Buda side of Donau is perfect. As the hotel is small the staff knows all the guests and the service is excellent. We will for sure be back. Best regards...

Stayed in this hotel in Budapest over the Easter holiday weekend. The hotel is centrally located on the Buda side of the Danube, located on the river. There is a tram line and walk/bike path directly across from the hotel along the river as well, which makes for a very scenic walk and easy access to transit (although we didn't...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
