After checking out Vienna, we took Railjet to get Budapest. From Keleti station, took metro M2 to Deak Ferenc ter. It only took 5 mins to get this hotel. It is located center of city, 10 mins to Szent Istvan Basilica, 5 mins to Chain Bridge, 20-30 mins to Castle hill. Also, Vaci (main street) is just right by the...

It's Kempinski and it is like it should be. 5 stars of awesomeness. Rooms are beautiful and well equipped, nice pool (but no jacuzzi). The location is perfect for a few days in Budapest, 1 min to the main shopping street Vaci Utza. One of my favorite parts in Kempinski is the rich breakfast. You get everything you can dream...

We were welcomed at the door by Andras the doorman, friendly and professional and in a flash the car was emptied and taken away and the bags were gone!!! The whole experience was unbelievable, everyone and I mean everyone was friendly, helpful and very professional. We checked in with our little Yorkie, and there was blanket in the room for...

Our stay in Budapest was lovely thanks the the Kempinski Corvinus Hotel. We were warmly welcomed at reception and were able to check in to our room early. We found the room to be large, spacious and very comfortable with everything we could want. The service provided by staff was very helpful. Recommendation about transport, restaurants and local attractions were...

This Hotel really deserves the 5 star label. Heartly warm welcome, Multilingual staff, nice rooms and above a good atmosphere. I adore their lobby with an open fire place, very cozy. The gym is medium size but well equipped and maintained. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. I just think a water kettle should be in a room of a...

My husband stays here regularly but it was my first time. It has all that is expected of the service for which Kempinski is famous, with really attentive servers as well as professional front desk staff. I especially recommend the Living Room Bar, which is very comfortable and serves world-class cocktails and champagne. Another point in its favor is that...

The hotel is very cozy and our stay was delightful!!! 3 nights that couldnt be better!!! Location wise, the hotel is pretty close to the main attractions in town, so that you are able to visit most of them on foot... it is also beside the main shopping streets, and in front of a nice little square where you found...

From the restaurant to the front desk to the spa - service was really bad. Hotel was not so clean. Price was too high. Careful about the charges they add at the end. Spa promised us 20% discount and then charged full price. Bathroom smelled like rotten water in a drain. Nothing good about this place and we paid a...

A feature which stood out to me was the very large public area adjacent to the lobby called the Living Room. It had a beautiful fireplace, bookshelves, and many comfortable informal conversation areas. Continental breakfast was served there as well as (later on) pastries, light food, drinks, etc. Being one of a group of 8 it was wonderful to have...

This hotel is perfectly positioned for a sight seeing break, most places of interest are within walking distance as is the metro. We took a taxi from the airport as we were quite late in and returned on the metro/bus as we had familiarised ourselves with the transport system. The room was modern & comfortable we didn't have much of...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
