My husband and I wanted to spend our holidays in Budapest and Vienna. So we took standart rooms through the travel agency: in Budapest it was Kings 3*. I was shocked when we came to our room in Kings hotel(Budapest): dirty floor in the bedroom and bathroom(footprints on the tile), dirty towels. Also I found hair on the bed linens....

Stayed at Kings for three nights in March. Its a basic hotel, but it was clean, the bed was very comfy & the shower was great. Breakfast was ok too. I loved the scrambled egg & the coffee was good. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel is set in the Jewish quarter on the Pest side of...

Stayed here for 3 nights in December whilst visiting the Christmas Markets. Wasn't really expecting much due to the price paid of £80 for 3 nights for 2 people B&B. Room was adequate with a kettle ( we had to buy our own tea & Milk) and en suite. Towels changed daily and beds made up. Wifi free. Breakfast basic...

We booked a double room, but were actually given a triple room - no complaints there as we liked the extra space. The room is basic, clean and tidy. There was air conditioning/heater, which worked well. We were provided with a kettle but no teabags, the mini-bar was standard. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. We were able to get good...

Stayed for 2 nights clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Good location for nightlife and city centre. Real value for money would stay again. Rooms had everything you would need the safe was available at no extra cost and a mini fridge was stocked at reasonable prices.

We stayd at the hotel for three nights and i must say you really got what you payd for. Out room was on the top floor, one extra stair above the alivator, that diden´t matter to us but it was very very hot under the roof since the AC did not work as it should. We did not include breakfirst...

The location of the hotel is excellent, in district number 7, the center of Budapest. There is a lot of restaurants, bars, cafes, shop, museums, jewish quarter, cultural life and more attractions just in a short walking distance. The Great Synagogue, Gozsdu Udvar, Szimpla Bar is all over there... The room was good and well heated in the cold weather...

Absolutely worst Hotel room I have ever been to. The carpet was filthy, stained and just dirty looking. The bed lumpy and looked like you could get bed bugs in it. Just unappealing altogether. I lost money because I could not sleep in those conditions. I booked to stay there because the photographs of the room looked clean, neat and...

Dear Lilliana Karebi, thank you for taking time to write your review. I really sorry that the hotel did not met your expectations. Let me tell you my opinion about your stay from our side as I was on the reception when you checked in. Yes, the receptionist did not find your reservation as you made an online booking standing...

Ideal for a short city break ... hotel is in ideal location ... staff helpful ... rooms outdated but fine if you need bed & cleanliness ... ... a couple of negatives... emailed (as well as Facebook message) regarding airport pick up as was wary of taxis... none of messages were replied to ... on arrival I was asked for...

Staff told us that the hotel was overbooked for the Xmas period and had to send us to another hotel (that turned out to be City Hotel Unio, which is a nice hotel itsefl based on my previous stay at the latter), even though i checked via email before arrival that everything was ok with the booking; to sum up,...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
