Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We had a wonderful experience at the Ibis Hotel Center Budapest! The hotel was perfect for a family holiday. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Also, the hotel is located in a convenient area, close to the tourist attractions of Budapest. I confidently recommend Ibis Hotel Center Budapest for a pleasant stay in the capital of Hungary!

Basic, but very central hotel with quirky retro video game decor. Close to M2, Keleti railway station and tram line 4/6, so everything is very accessible. Breakfast was pretty good with loads of local food choices. Special thank you to Janos from the restaurant and Matyas from front office.

Conveniently situated within Budapest ( about 4500 steps from Chain Bridge !) . Next door is a Lidl and a small kebab hut . Reception was friendly , manned incessantly and all staff were well informed . Free coffee and water was available all the time . The reception also organised our airport transfer back which was very helpful and efficient ( 40000 each ) . Room was adequate - overlooking the courtyard but no view. Towels looked like they were changed daily but I know they weren’t ! Neat folding by housekeeping. Bathroom was daft in that the mirror had speakers but no demister which surely would have been more essential and helpful ? No making facilities either . Breakfast quite nice but not the most varied buffet we’ve had - lack of pastries . All in all value for money but just ,average.

It is fine to stay here for 1-2 nights. The rooms to the main street Rákóczi útca are super noisy: ambulances, police cars, trolley busses, and a lot of traffic. I had a room to the supposedly calm courtyard but there end up the exits of the AC. It is loud too. The breakfast seemed to be nice but they do not get a grip on their fruit flies and on the last day an ant was walking over my breakfast. The elder breakfast stuff is grumpy and the younger ones are nicer but do not like to talk. Only the female Night Shift at the reception was always super helpful. The Night Shift guys at the reception are only staring at their phones. The regular day reception staff is ok and professionally friendly and well trained. The snack fridge at the reception is utterly expensive so go around the corner to the late night shops. Or cross the small street Osvát útca next to the hotel and have a drink at the next hostel on Rákóczi útca = cheaper and more fun or find after 21h a late night shop, there are many. For the price for a night at Ibis Styles Centre you will find a better place. The only great thing is the closeness to the subway and to tramway 4 & 6 that bring you close to wherever you need to be in the centre.

The reception staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The rooms are comfortable although the absence of a minibar or fridge was a nuisance. The breakfast was also rather simple . It is well located in the centre and is clean and tidy. The bar in reception is simple yet attractive. Main plus: the staff. Main drawback, the breakfast.

Very practical and affordable hotel in a great location. The place is spotlessly clean and there are plenty of staff for anything you need. I found all the staff very helpful especially on the front desk especially Robi who helped us out when my my daughter fell ill - a great guy !!

My wife and I stayed for a week for the Formula 1. Hotel is very clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The room was compact but functional and serviced each day. Breakfast is good, waffles and Nutella are always a favourite 😊. Thanks for making our stay so special.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend in March 2023. Can’t fault anything about the hotel. Great location - about a 10/15 minute walk along a straight road to the centre of the city. The beds are really comfortable, air con was very useful as it was quite hot outside so it was nice to come back to a cold room. We had breakfast included - good English breakfast selection and various pastries. Complimentary fresh water and hot drinks were on offer throughout the day as well. The hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. The guy with all the tattoos (didn’t get a name sorry) pointed out all the best places to eat and drink which we appreciated. Would definitely look to book here if visiting Budapest again.

The location of the hotel is great. It is very close to the metro, bus, tram and train station. The room was very quite despite the central location. It is also very close to the important areas, for example St Stephen’s Basilica and New York Cafe is just 10 minutes away by walking. There is a big market very close to the hotel. Room was small, but it was not important for me since I used the room just for sleeping. Air conditioner was well-working. There is no friger in the room. You can have coffee from a machine in the lobby for free. Breakfast is really good and tasty. I definitely would stay again.
