I had many-many nights in the hotel and honestly: they have the best and most lovely staff at the reception! Whatever requests I had (technical or other small comfort) everything was done without reminding or threatening with the "Management...". The apartments (not rooms - much bigger spaces indeed!) which I had my nights are fully equipped including kitchenware, microwave-oven, smart TV, beds for three people. What else you want? The location is absolutely perfect, a world-class pizzeria is right in the building just like a lovely authentic polish donut-kiosk. Warsaw city center is about 50m walk away. The surrounding is calm, no extra night life that would keep you up in the night with loud noises. The only (and really minor) point for which I scored 4 is that there are some marks of the ages - I mean some wear and tear on the doors, carpet etc... Nothing I could not simply ignore or would not live with, just for fact: I do not want to give 5 scores for a places which has some glitches. Should the scoring system had 10th, I would surely score 4.9 on a scale of 0.0 - 5.0. More than highly recommended if you are a businessman or travel to discover Warsaw, with or without family!…
The room is an amazing suite with small kitchen Very nice style very comfortable the staff are very professional kindly and friendly if you have car the garage is under the hotel for the price i paid I couldn’t have better accommodation I will return for sure 100%
I stayed for a month in the hotel. very helpful and kind staff. especially receptionists. relaxed environment. very nice breakfast. amazing location. recommend it for all and specifically for Budapest 1st visitors like me
Checked in late in evening and was given electronic key to 'Garden' side appartments on 4th floor. Elevator had builders wood floor, sides and tape inside?? Strange?? More surprises to come when doors opened. Paint tubs, drills, plastering tools & buckets etc. facing us. Automatic lights came on in corridor to show us wooden sheets covering tiled flooring & halogen lamp on scaffolding pole with smell of recent paintwork. Apartment door would not open with key after repeated attempts. Left Significant Other with case glowering at me for chosing this building site place for first visit to Budapest. Returned dowstairs. Queried Receptionist that we had misundertood location of our room. Helpful girl then returned to appartment door with me and finally opened the door after more attempts. Internally, apartment was stunning, Exceeded expectations ! Huge 55 metres of space with seperate bedroom. Large living area, and kitchen area with all amenities you could ask for. Looked as if we were first into these renovated rooms. Within the apartment it was 5****+. However, next morning, @ 7.22am no hope of lazy, quiet start to the day, as hammering, sawing and drilling started, on all floors below us! There had been no prior warning when booking or checking in that squads of builders are renovating all five floors on the hotel's Garden wing. (Work expected to finish early April) Given enforced early awakening, I walked round to local Lidl (7/8mins) for freshly baked rolls, pastries etc. On return door would not open with electronic key. Fortunately Significant Other had showered and dressed by then, and let me in! After breakfast, and leaving apartment, we forgot somthing, returned, but could not get door opened (yet again). Another trip to reception! Manager, plus Foreman builder all unable to gain entry. Finally with a special piece of electronic gizmo (and a further 30 minutes) door opened. "New locks" system was aparent reason. Apologies. Lost a morning's siteseeing but promised all well on return. No firther problems with door during stay. Each morning builders started from 07.00 with attendant noise of sawing, drilling walls, hammering, plastering, talking and some radio noises. There was no noise by the time we retuned later in the day. Pity about being roomed in a building site, though. The other appartments (Izabella) facing, are 2 or 3 bedroomed, and management might have considered guests needs of peace and quiet for their vacation time and roomed us elsewhere in the building, rather than encourage a negative review like this. There was no offer of any compensation. Management were however, quite understanding that guests would not normally be expected to be subjected to major renovations beside/below where they are roomed. "Unable to make any cash refund due to pre-paid through hotel booking site" Offer of one free night in Budapest valid one year. Accepted a free taxi ride back to BUD and some wine instead. Staff very universally helpful here throughout, and in different circumstances this would be a full 5 *+ experience. Izabella's location is really excellent, Great value for price paid in February, (other than the builders' noise) just 2 mins walk from Metro, and only 10 mins into City Centre on variety of buses, trams, metro & trolleybuses. There is also an excellent Italian resturant in the same block, once you have had your fill of superb Goulash available in most eateries. Like most places, hotel breakfast seemed overpriced for what you were offered. Free coffee/tea available 24 hours in downstairs lounge area. Great central heating system throughout our appartment, and constant hot water 24/7. Never used the Sauna area. Budapest as a destination, is excellent for a 3/4/5 night stay. Prices modest, food quantities and quality both great all over. 72hour transport card is only about £10 but over 65's travel free on all transport, and into most nuseums & galleries!! Just keep a Passport copy to show on entry. This is a far longer review than normal, but important that you check that you are NOT in Mamaison Izabella's "Garden" wing for the next 4/6 weeks, if you want some lie-in time before site-seeing!!! Overall, our Budapest experience WAS affected (but not totally marred) by our stay here. We would certainly recommend Mamasion Izabella to friends and family when we knew the builders had finished!! Still gave this review overall 4 stars, balanced for what was IN the actual appartment itself versus the inconvenience of the renovations.…
We loved staying at Mamaison. Our garden-facing bedroom was very quiet and we slept very well. The warm breakfast was a tad modest, but you can always ask the hotel service if you want something different, like fried eggs. I am on a strict gluten-free and lactose-free diet and the staff went of their way to provide for me. It was hands down one of the best-served hotels I’ve ever stayed in and could even compete with 5-star hotels on that level. The gym is big (there are Hungarian speaking classes on most mornings and evenings) and there is a 2-3 people sauna. I recommend this hotel 100%.
