We stayed in an apartment in the grounds of this hotel, and having the space was just fantastic! The hotel is ideally situated, with a bus straight into the centre of the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. There are also two great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel if you are...

Had a lovely stay here for three nights. This hotel represents great value for money. It is spotlessly clean and has been fitted out to a high standard. The staff were helpful and courteous, providing us with sound advice when needed. The breakfast never failed to set us up for the day. The ' large double bed' was huge and...

Good hotel with pros and cons: Pros: This hotel is in Buda, next to a hill which is a very nice area to go for a relaxing walk. It is also ok for its price range, and the room are big compared to an average hotel room. The staff is very helpful and there also a restaurant at the basement...

We booked up the hotel as part of a package deal with flights. The location itself is quite good, a 15-20 min walk into the centre (although heading back up the hill to the hotel on an evening can be quite the struggle!). When we got to the room we had separate beds (something we didn't request) and was told...

Staying in Gellert Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Gellert Hill
If you want to treat your camera to some amazing scenery, Gellért Hill is a must on your itinerary. A funicular journey from the Chain Bridge along the hillsides provides a fast connection between Buda and Pest, hoisting visitors to panoramic vistas. Once on top of the hill, you’ll find the Citadel dominate the landscape with its imposing 19th century construction, a site that’s hard to keep your eyes on without being distracted by the phenomenal view over the Danube and the eight bridges crossing. Once on Gellért Hill however, one mustn’t miss the famous Gellért Baths. Budapest is renown for its thermal waters and its baths, and the Gellért Baths are housed in an impressive art nouveau structure. Its interior design, with its many mosaics, recalls the preceding relationships the city has had with healing springs and saunas, traditionally used within this neighborhood since the Ottoman Empire.
