We stayed in Room 2 for one night. The host made a special arrangement to set up a bed for my teenage daughter, so to accommodate three of us. The room is large enough with plenty of seating room, AC, TV, a wardrobe, and a beautiful balcony. Besides the most wonderful host, the location is the best. Fisherman's Bastion is literally across the street from the hotel. You can stroll up the steps of the Buda Castle either in the late night or early morning to beat the throngs of crowds during the day, enjoying the illusion that you have the castle all to yourself. Definitely going back to the place, if I get to visit this amazing city again in the future.
We stayed for four nights at this lovely B&B. We met all the inn keepers over that time, and every one of them were extremely helpful, giving us lots of information and map references of things to do and see. We stayed in Room 5 at the top of the house, which gave fantastic views of the Danube, but directly over the river from us was the fabulous Parliament building, which looks amazing at night. The continental breakfast has plenty on offer, and even out of hours, you can make yourself a coffee or tea. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting easy access to the whole of the city.5 stars from me
I'm so impressed by this place! location very close to everything in city center, view very nice on front of the Parlament and of the castle , the rooms are so clean and well decorated, breakfast delicious and stuff is so stunning and very helpful ! Well recommended
This place was nice enough to take me in for one day at the last minute when my reservation at another place got mixed up. I had room number 5 on top and the view of the Parliament across the Danube was killer. They even had fireworks one night that I captured from my bedroom window. Valiant, who coordinates the people coming and going is excellent and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. He is also very patient and knowledgeable with tips on where to go, where to eat and how to navigate mass transit. They send you an email with perfect instructions on how to get there via various options. I took the #16 bus and it was a breeze. The room is quiet for sleeping, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is included and is very hearty and all you can eat, the WiFi is very strong both in the room and downstairs in the breakfast room. They’ll let you store your luggage there and roam the city if you have a later train or flight. I can’t say enough good things about both the place and Balint. I hope to come back and stay again. …
Great location at the foot of the Castle Hill and in walking distance of cafes, ATM and transportation. Our room had an outdoor balcony with a small bistro table and chairs, overlooking the Castle which was lit up at night. The room was large with comfortable furniture and an adequate bathroom with shower. The hosts, Lajos, Yudit and Balint were all charming, helpful and thoughtful. No request or question was dismissed. It is obvious they wanted their guests to enjoy every moment of their vacation. A driver was arranged to pick us up and deliver us to the train station and airport. To make it easy and convenient, they paid the driver and the cost was calculated in our total bill. The breakfast was very complete including fresh fruit, cereal, sweets, yogurt, meats, cheeses, breads, and eggs cooked to order. The balcony off the kitchen affords guests a beautiful view of the red tiled roofs and Parliament while chatting with other guests during breakfast, or any time during the day if one wanted to make a cup of tea. When my husband became seriously ill, Lajos called a doctor and assisted us in every way to expedite our immediate return home. He was very helpful and kind during this stressful time. We felt well cared for and are grateful for his personal care. Thank you.…
