District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
Stayed the first weekend of Feb 2019. Hotel clean and modern, staff all very friendly. Housekeeping staff always made a point of saying 'hello' 'good morning' etc. We didn't make full use of all other amenities such as the bar and restaurant area, as there is so much to see in

The toilet is big, but the room to a bit small for 3 persons. Reception is not very friendly and toiletries depend on the cleaner, some item was not given, like sewing kit. Location is good, very near to shopping.

Spent two nights here. The price paid was quite good compared with all the hotels around. Pros. Very good breakfast, courteous staff. Very good italo-hungarian restaurant in the same building (in fact, breakfast is served mostly in the same space). In the downtown, 10 minutes

Dear nadina, Thank you for your question. The two most famous baths, Gellért and Szechenyi are both easily accesible from our hotel. Gellért bath is about 1,5 km. You can take the tram no. 2 along the Danube and go across the Liberty Bridge. Szechenyi Bath is about 4 km from the hotel. You can take metro no. 1 from vorosmarty sqaure, and get off directly at the bath. Please do not hesitate to contact us in case you have any further questions.

How close to cruise ship port?
Dear Janea26, Thank you very much for your question! Unfortunately we don't know exactly where each cruise ship docks, but we are very close to the Danube, a few minutes on foot both from the Elisabeth Bridge and the Chain Bridge. If you know exactly where your ship docks, please let us know and we would be happy to give you more information. With best regards, the Hotel Zenit Budapest Palace team
