The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.

I loved Baltazar. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly. The service was great throughout our stay, and we had a beautiful room. Breakfast was just as good. We really felt welcome and comfortable, and were looking forward to coming back to the hotel every night.

The perch pike, the burger and the beetroot salad were fantastic. Friendly and efficient staff, a very original atmosphere combining old and new. The cuisine was amazing! The Luke warm beetroot salad with rockets, goat cheese and potatoes was a dream.

great spot for lunch or dinner with well made cocktails and amazing food. it does pay to book as gets busy very often. The Hungarian food is a must and even the burgers are something to try. Is the best spot for Eats in Buda castle area.

There is a very little front desk at the right side of the bar, but there is. Don't worry about the reception staff, they are usually nice, I only had a problem with the front desk manager who disappeared, but the rest of the staff were amazing and very helpful. You won't regret staying there!
