Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A cute and well-maintained hotel. At the reception, there's a very kind young man who tries to explain everything to you. I had a suite, so the room was quite large and well-equipped. Unfortunately, the room is very poorly lit in the evening. I understand that they want to create some lighting effects, but this should be a choice for the customer, not an obligation. The curtains can only be used for total blackout; there is no lighter curtain that allows for some daylight, so the neighbors can see inside the room perfectly during the day. Another negative aspect is that the WC light turns on automatically; especially at night, it's not very pleasant to be hit by a too intense beam of light when you need to go to the bathroom. A negative rating also for the "basic" breakfast included in the room price: very poor, and for two out of three days, it was not able to meet our requests. Even though they have a restaurant available, they couldn't heat up some water on the stove to make tea! However, for an additional 7 euros per person, you can have a richer breakfast. I would suggest increasing the room price by a few euros and not skimping on these details that make waking up less enjoyable. In the bathroom, when using the shower, all the water splashes out because there is no adequate insulation, even though they have installed an adjustable glass that should provide some protection, but it is entirely insufficient. The hotel's location is good, but you should keep in mind that it is located in the "upper" part of the city, so if your itinerary is not in the upper part, you will need to use public transportation or a taxi. One evening, at the end of dinner, we ordered four grappas that we thought would be complimentary, but they ended up costing us almost 50 euros... a real exaggeration !!

Good communications, very helpful staff, clean and attractive bedroom, good bed. Hotel is in the Buda Castle district, is only 5 minutes stroll from the Fisherman’s Bastion but is quietly tucked way on one edge.

Clean, tidy and friendly hotel located in the best district for sightseeing. Very peaceful and quiet area. Excellent connections to public transport for other areas of the city. Excellent food nearby. Only slight issue for me was the mattresses, they are very firm. Would recommend and would stay there again.

The hotel is stylish and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The Deluxe room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The Frenchy breakfast was perfect for us and we ate in the restaurant twice, which was delicious. Loved the quiet location. A wonderful stay!

The single downside to this hotel was the restaurant hours. Google says they close at 11 but when we arrived at 10, everything was shut down. We were told that if no one is dining, they close. The next night, the resturant was packed at 9pm but when we tried to get a table they said the kitchen was closing and recommended a different resturant. The upside, we opted for the rate that included the French breakfast. Literally the best croissants we've ever had!! So yummy. The room was unique, cozy, and beautiful. The self check in was very easy. The price was incredible, and the area...I have no words, just stunning. The perfect location. If you stay here, be sure to walk down to the cathedral at night. Overall, we loved this hotel and can't wait to stay here again.

Dear Msheabrown, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience in our Hotel! We really appreciate all the words and we are so glad that you enjoyed the stay with us! Our hotel aims to provide a truly unique experience for all guests who visit us. We are sorry for the inconviniences regarding the hours of our restaurant. In the Buda Castle area, unfortunately restaurants have earlier closing hours than the ones in the Pest side. I would like to inform you that the Restaurant team is working very hard to create wonderful memories and to strive to provide our guests with a warm, comfortable and luxurious experience. I'll be certain to share your comments with our team as we are continuously seeking ways to improve our services and facilities for all our hihgly valued guests like you.
