Went with a group of 15 on a stag doo. The helpfulness of the staff and the hotel was great, the location is ideal and the staff help with anything. Decor could do with upgrading, if you want that go to a 5 star. The rooms are secure with a safe and have everything you need with a basic breakfast,...

Upon arrival, we were told that there was a problem and they booked us in another hotel for 2 days. actually they booked us in a guesthouse. When we returned to this hotel as advised we were given a room but this room was in the attic, full of foul smells, attic skylights were unreachable to open close, blinds to...

I liked: 1. Location is pretty good. Very close to public transportation. We also walked to many sightseeing points (but it was 20-30 minutes by foot). 2. A lot of furniture in the room, even a place for make-up. Nice design. 3. The room is quiet. 4. Free wi-fi in the room. 5. Safe box in the room I did...

I had a lovely stay for 4 nights, the location is excellent - just 10 minutes walk from the main metro station Deak Ferenc Ter. The room is clean, spacious with private bathroom. My room was away from the main road so it was very quiet at night and I slept well. There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and food...

Nice location near the city center, all mayor attrations are reacheable by foot. There are lots of restaurantes, cafés, supermarkets in the area. The facilities are quite old but confortable and clean. The wifi conettion in the room was fast and stable. The ventilation system produces a nuisance noise that made it difficult to fall asleep. The hotel should take some actons...

Having today returned from a 4 night stay at the Hotel Unio it is with disappointment I give such a rating. The hotel is old and also the decoration and fittings in the bedroom, doesn't look as if it has had a lick of paint for years as dirty marks were apparent on the walls. To my horror both single...

So the positives are: It's location, great location close to everything, including trams and busses, although i gather that pretty much every hotel is in a convenient location in Budapest. It's very cheap maybe the cheapest when booking through a discount hotel website/ app. Negatives: There was a hole in the wall in our room which looked like someone had...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
