Lovely little hotel. Very nicely designed and decorated. Lovely staff. All friendly and helpful plus a gorgeous bar area for before and after dinner cocktails. It's a short 10 to 15 min walk through the pedestrianised shopping street leading to the more larger shopping area and restaurants. Danube 2 min walk. Gellert thermal baths directly across the bridge. 10 min walk. Breakfast had a great choice for all tastes and was fresh and tasty. We would stay again and recommend. Great value for money.

It is a great hotel! Everything was perfect! The location is near the Gellért bath and the metro station Kalvin Tér as well the airport bus 100e is only a few steps away. The room was very comfortable and excellent! The service and breakfast was fantastic and the employees were very friendly, nice, helpful and easygoing/uncomplicated! The price for 4 nights with breakfast is great! Overall it was the perfect hotel for me. I would book it again.

I stayed here with my granddaughter for four nights in November. After travelling all day it was very convenient to be able to obtain a nice bar snack rather than having to go out to find a restaurant. The hotel is in a wonderful location, very convenient for visiting the main tourist attractions and only a few minutes walk from the Central Market Hall, Liberty Bridge and Vaci Street. Our room was cosy, spotlessly clean and everything we needed had been thought of. The breakfasts were excellent value, offering food and drink options to suit all tastes and/or diets. The staff were friendly and professional and happy to provide information should you need it. A lovely touch demonstrating the excellent attention to detail was experienced on the evening we set off to go to a restaurant. Stepping outside we realised it was raining and as we turned around to go back inside for an umbrella, a member of staff was already heading to the door to give us one. Thoughtful first class service! I am very happy to recommend this hotel as the perfect place to stay in Budapest.

The hotel is in a very good location, close to shops and wonderful restaurants. It is very clean, the bed is comfortable, as are the pillows. Coffee is the best I've had while travelling in Europe for 5 weeks, and the staff are wonderful. I do have some issues however. The rooms are tiny. OK for one person, but much too small for a couple. The television has nothing but foreign news and sports channels. But my biggest gripe was the AC. Quite warm days and the room was stifling hot. We spent the first night trying to figure out how to work it. I, with a wet facecloth by my side all night. Next morning I asked if someone could come show us how to work it. This is the deal...... "The hotel is old, therefore the AC is old. It runs either hot or cold. So, as it is now coming into winter, the AC will only blow hot air"! This is unacceptable in my opinion. The unscreened window (which looks out onto three walls) can be opened, but opens wide over the bed so that the person sleeping on that side is in danger of a head injury if he or she sits up in th night. Four hot nights with a wet facewasher to cool me meant four hot nights with very little sleep.

Dear Ivy R, Greetings from the Boutique Hotel Budapest! Thanks a lot for staying with us and for sharing your honest feedback mentioning both the highlights and downsides of your visit. It fills me with happiness to learn that we managed to generally meet your expectations despite the sad fact that you gave us only 3 points. Thank you for mentioning unbeatable location, spotless cleanlines and excellent breakfast services. Room size (16 m2), features and equipments are indicated on our official website to avoid any misunderstandings. Hope your room’s beauty and great equipment a bit compensated for your mixed impressions. You cannot imagine how truly sorry I am that your overall good stay was overshadowed by the room’s temperature. Let me kindly inform you that this is a temporary period, when we are preparing to switch to winter mode and we stop cooling the rooms. The week, you have stayed on, was unusually warm, while we expected a much cooler weather according to the forecast. According to your concerns we decided to operate the air conditioning until mid autumn in the future to avoid similar occurrences. Please accept my apology for the inconveniences you have encountered. Again, I am very sorry for your disappointment and I trust that otherwise you much enjoyed your Budapest stay. Your support is appreciated and we sincerely wish to get a second chance to welcome you back. We would do everything to make your stay impeccable in every ways. Best regards, Péter Vezekényi General Manager

We are currently staying at this hotel, it’s super for a short break. Excellent location, sparkly clean, all staff from reception to bar to house keepers have been so genuinely friendly and helpful The bar is well stocked, the breakfast has a brilliant choice, there is something for everyone. No restaurant at night but you can get a small sandwich type snack if you really need to. Rooms were smallish but well equipped with TV, kettle, fridge etc and very clean, good en suite shower facilities. Air con is there but doesn’t work too well, was quite hot at night but you an open the window if you need to. Overall, good experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a short trip to Budapest.
