My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this hotel and thought it was lovely & great location & would return here on a second visit.
The decor in the lounge bar and breakfast was modern and clean. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly polite and helpful. We had forgotten our European plugs and they even loaned us a couple. Also on the first night it was raining and they had umbrellas we used. It’s the little touches that make your stay more comfortable.
The bedrooms are small and we only had a view of an enclosed courtyard but it was very clean and perfectly adequate with water minibar toiletries hairdryer coffee maker kettle. Initially we started in room 404 but it smelt of cigarette smoke despite it being a non smoking hotel previous guests had obviously abused this so we moved to room 604 with no problem at all.
On our last night Thursday we went to call in the bar area for a night cap as we had done previously a couple of times as it’s open 24/7. You ring the bell on the counter and a bar staff attends as it is very quiet there & there was only a couple of people in on both occasions we went. But we like the vibe and peace and quiet in a comfy lounge. However on our last night the bar was in darkness & so we asked was it open & a man who only appeared half interested turned on the lights & said they would be there in a minute. As that didn’t happen we gave up & went to bed & the staff didn’t acknowledge us or check if we wanted a drink as we walked past.
The breakfast was perfectly adequate with the usual set up Buffett style and attentive staff.
Download Bolt app which is equivalent to Uber as transfer from airport cost 11,030 HUFor £24 or 28 Euros. The cost for hotel arranging was 40 Euros & they said theirs was cheaper which was not the case when I checked Bolt which was very efficient and arrived promptly.
Overall great stay in Budapest can defo recommend

Dear Sarr25, Greetings from the Boutique Hotel Budapest! I am pleased to learn that you had a generally positive experience during your stay with us! Grateful thanks for sharing your detailed feedback including both the highlights of your visit and the areas could be improved. We are always ready to perfect our services, your satisfaction is our priority. On the bright side, it is a pleasure that you enjoyed lovely ambiance, convenient location, modern and clean environment as well as the friendly and helpful hospitality. Thank you for appreciating thoughtful touches, that made your stay even more comfortable. Rarely, but unfortunately, it can happen that some guest violate the smoking policy. I am pleased that we were able to smoothly handle the issue with a quick room change. All our staff is committed to provide a professional, smooth and quick service. I am terribly sorry for your unpleasant experience encountered at the bar. Please accept our apologies and please be assured that we learn form the issue and expected service behavior will be reinforced during regular trainings to avoid similar occurrences in the future. As for the airport transfer options – we use to emphasize that the fixed priced hotel transfer service have many benefits in exchange for the higher tariff. We have a contracted partnership with a licensed transfer company to ensure high safety, comfort as well as date and price guarantee for our guests. Naturally, we can organize regular taxi service or can arrange cab via our Bolt app. However Bolt taxis cannot be booked in advance. Either they have available car or not, and this is always a big risk factor, especially if you are going to the airport. Additionally, the final tariff of regular taxis (working on km and time basis) are neither guaranteed, as it always depends on traffic. We always strive to find the most suitable alternative together with our guests, taking these factors into account. We are very sorry for any misunderstanding and for your unpleasant impressions. Overall, I am glad that you had a great stay in Budapest and would recommend our place to TripAdvisor readers. We would love to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. Best regards, Péter Vezekényi General Manager

I stayed here with my granddaughter for four nights in November. After travelling all day it was very convenient to be able to obtain a nice bar snack rather than having to go out to find a restaurant. The hotel is in a wonderful location, very convenient for visiting the main tourist attractions and only a few minutes walk from the Central Market Hall, Liberty Bridge and Vaci Street.
Our room was cosy, spotlessly clean and everything we needed had been thought of. The breakfasts were excellent value, offering food and drink options to suit all tastes and/or diets.
The staff were friendly and professional and happy to provide information should you need it. A lovely touch demonstrating the excellent attention to detail was experienced on the evening we set off to go to a restaurant. Stepping outside we realised it was raining and as we turned around to go back inside for an umbrella, a member of staff was already heading to the door to give us one. Thoughtful first class service!

I am very happy to recommend this hotel as the perfect place to stay in Budapest.

Overall me and my partner really enjoyed our stay at the Charm Hotel in Budapest. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel was very well presented and clean. The breakfast included wasn't bad, the selection was small but enough to line your stomach for the day ahead.

The reason I only give this hotel 3 out of 5 is due to the bedroom location we were given. I booked this holiday a year in advance and we were given a room right on the main road and above the entrance. Everyday at 5am and 6am we were woken up by the bin men shouting and clanging down the road, as well by early delivery drivers and guests returning to the hotel. There was also constant hammering in the hotel during our stay which also was rather annoying.

I would understand being placed in this room if I was a last minute booking, however as I booked so far in advance it would have been nice to have been given a better choice of room. Please be aware if you stay in a room on the main road your sleep will be interrupted. This definitely took away from the 4* experience the hotel claims to have.

No other issues apart from this. It left me and my partner very restless and tired each morning due to lack of sleep. This needs to be looked into to prevent future guests having the same issue we did.

Dear Charlotte, Welcome from the Charm Hotel Budapest! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your honest feedback about your recent stay with us. We’re very grateful for your kind words about our staff and the overall presentation of the hotel. It’s wonderful to know that you appreciated the cleanliness and the breakfast selection. However, we sincerely apologize for the discomfort you experienced during your stay, particularly with the noise from the street and ongoing construction. Our goal is to provide a restful and relaxing experience, and we are truly sorry for the lack of sleep. Please accept our apologies for the inconveniences encountered and please rest assured, we take your concerns seriously. It is such a pity that you did not have the chance to share your concerns with us during your stay, as we would have been more than happy to offer you a room change. The reason you were placed in this particular room was due to your early arrival before the official check-in time. You should have waited for another room. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will do everything we can to improve our guests' experiences. In the future, we will strive to offer alternatives upon arrival, as much as possible, but we still greatly rely on our guests' kind feedback if something is not satisfactory. Only then can we make changes and solutions on-site, which we would be happy to do. We would love the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and ensure that your stay is more in line with the high standards we strive for. Once again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused, and we hope we can make it up to you in the future. Best regards, Péter Vezekényi General Manager

It was our first time to Budapest, the hotel was in an ideal location in a side street near to attractions and local transport. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable, there was a small fridge in the room which was handy,
We had breakfast which is self service with a good choice of continental or cooked food. There is a seating area with a bar which was good if you wanted a drink after your sightseeing, or in the evening. I would recommend this hotel and hope to have a return visit in the future.

Hotel is great for a few nights stay, breakfast included which has a good selection. The food was tasty and you could have a full english, cereal or a continental selection.

Room was on the smaller side but big enough for 2 people for 3 nights. Only small problem was the room was extremely warm, the air conditioning did not seem to work to cool the room down. We had to have the window open a lot. The room was clean and modern looking. Mini fridge was stocked with coke, orange juice and snacks, not badly priced. Bed was comfortable. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful.

Location wise it is good for central market and christmas markets. Most things were around 15-30 min walk from hotel. Tram stop just behind the hotel. We used the local uber app called bolt a couple of times and they can easily stop outside of hotel. Fishermans bastion is around a 30-40 minute walk from hotel.

I stayed here for my birthday week and on arrival the reception team gave us guides on where we can get food and do tours and explore Budapest which was lovely. The hotel itself is clean and in a perfect location. The only thing I would say is we could hear people outside our room all the time and in the rooms around us, unless people don't have any respect that we are trying to sleep, it's not the hotels fault. Maybe we just encounter noisy people for our stay lol. The quilt isn't a big double, it's 2x singles which is nice if you're sharing with family but if you have a partner ( I do) we just cuddled under 1 quilt lol. The room had a hairdryer, sewing kit, shoe horn, shoe brush, hairband, cotton buds, cotton pad, shower gel and shampoo. There is also a fridge which has drinks and snacks which you can have but they will charge you when you leave ( there is a menu).
There wasn't a view from my room but we was okay with that as we just explored everyday and we wasn't really in the room that much.

I recommend paying with you card if your from the UK as the exchange rate is better than if you pay in Euros, the taxi we paid for from the airport was €40 but we got a taxi to the other side, which is Buda, and it was £7 and we paid by card. We just paid by card everywhere we went and found it easier and we just had a converter app to use so we knew how much things was in £. The money can be confusing but it worked well for us with the app.

The hotel is right next to a pizza shop which we loved, we just grabbed a few slices and it saved us money to eat out every night, there is a Burger King and many restaurants to eat at so you won't go hungry that's for sure! There is also a tescos, co-op, aldi and Lidl if you want sandwiches or drinks for the room to save you money.

We used google maps for everything and it really helped us! We walked most of our trip away, we went on a boat cruise which I would highly recommend at around 6pm when it starts getting dark as you can see the city lit up and it's amazing. We also went to Buda Castle and did a Cave Walking tour ( it's on Getyourguide) which was brilliant. We also went to the zoo cafe if that is your thing, you have to pay 1000HF each if you don't buy food or drinks but the experience was good.
The market hall is literally 2 mins away from the hotel and they do fresh food and lots of souvenirs aswell!
Most places charge a service charge of 15 or 12% so just keep that in mind.

This is a perfect hotel of its type. Comfortable but not luxury. The position is perfect for sightseejng, being close to the Liberty Bridge, the market and transport links. Public areas are colourful and comfortable with an attractive bar area.
Rooms are very well designed with plenty of well organised storage, hangers, safe, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Bedding ok but basic. In house wifi worked perfectly. Bathroom well equipped with toiletries and towels. Decent hairdryer provided. Water always hot and shower pressure and controls easy to operate. Plenty of shelf space for make up etc.
Breakfast was well, organised and although I didn't go down after 9.30 am so can't comment on later times, was never over crowded which is a real bonus. Plenty of variety for all tastes in my view.
Desk staff always helpful and gave us maps when we asked for them. Ordinary taxi booked for the airport when we said we didn't want a 'luxe' one.
In summary a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. Would definitely choose this place again and seek out other hotels in the group.

Just had a lovely weekend at the Boutique. The hotel is located close to the Central Market, Liberty Bridge, Vaci Utca towards the south ofPest so is really well located for the attractions (and if you don’t feel like walking up the Danube the No 2 tram stops v close by. Despite being in the centre we found the hotel really quiet with no street noise.

Breakfasts are great but they don’t do evening meals, although they do give you a list of alternatives - we just wandered down Vaci Utca and found some really good options. Rooms are a bit small as is often the case for city centre hotels but had everything you’d expect and was done to a high standard so didn’t bother us at all (not that we spent much waking time in the room!!)

Staff were really friendly and helpful. They arranged a private transfer from the hotel to the airport €36 which was a bit pricey but we decided to get there in a bit of luxury, although Fo Taxi are v reliable and do the trip for around €28

Dear Richard A, Many thanks for choosing to stay at our Boutique Hotel Budapest. We would be happy if as many people as possible knew our great property, thank you for helping us in this with sharing your wonderful review. It is sounds great that you much valued our good location in the heart of the city. Everything is within easy reach, many tourist attractions are closeby and this lively area offers a plenty of entertainment and dining possibilities. In addition, our hotel provides a peaceful and quiet rest to our guests, as it is situated in a calm side street, however only few steps away from the bustling Váci street. I am truly happy to see, that you left our hotel with an overall very positive impression. While „boutique style” hotel rooms are really not so large, its great equipment, modern design and good layout make it to be a very good choice in its own category and style. The Boutique Hotel in Budapest was a fantastic find. Fabulous location for so many places of interest. All the staff including management were so lovely. They were hardworking, pleasant, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, catered for most people's tastes from cereals, to fruit juices, tea, coffee, pastries, bread, egg, bacon, sausages, beans, pancakes, fruit, yoghurts and even more. The breakfast staff were quick to replace trays etc that were running low on foods... always looking it's best. The bedrooms were clean and tidy. There was a hostess tray in each room with both a kettle a d also a coffee machine. There was a mini fridge containing snacks and drinks... all chargeable. There was a safe in each room, frew to use which was fabulous as lots of hotels now charge for that privilege! There were the usual toiletries, soap, shampoo, conditioner, vanity boxes, sewing kit, shoe shine, slippers, a shoe horn, a defluffer, towels, etc, etc, etc. The bar area was a peaceful area with a faor amount of choice. The bar staff were great and helpful with your choices. Peter the manager was a very pleasant man who came to our aid one evening. Peter, thank you. Vaci Street is just around the corner. When we return, three days was just not enough, we will, for certain, stay at the Boutique Hotel 100%. Thank you for being part of our trip.

From memory it was a refundable €200. The tourist tax rate is 4%. Hopefully you'll like it - we did as it's close to Vacci St and Liberty Bridge. About 1-1.5km walk to Parliament along the river.
