My husband and I spent only one night here. By my opinion this is a very kind place, our room was ok, the breakfast was ok, we haven’t tried the wellness. The personnel was pretty kind and helpful. I honestly recommend this place to every traveller.

This hotel is in a quiet area about 20 minutes walk from the town centre. The building is modern with an indoor swimming pool in the Atrium. The pool may be used from 10:00 - 22:00. Our room was pleasant and clean, but was not air-conditioned. We had a good en-suite shower room with a hair drier but there were no toiletries. There was a TV with CNN. The curtains at the window were very thin.
A good buffet breakfast was available from 08:00.

Hotel Kakadu is only a 20 minute stroll into Keszthely and taxis are very cheap. only costing about £2 if you can't walk that far. The hotel itself is lovely. The staff are extremely friendly and can't do enough for you. If you want a more personal holiday and don't want to be one of the masses in a large hotel, then I suggest you try this hotel. There is nothing better than lying in the garden, having an occasional dip in the pool (we had it all to ourselves virtually) and being served wonderful capaccinos. Keszthely itself is nice and the restaurants are extremely cheap. (Meal for two was about £15 with wine). A must is a visit to Heviz and the thermal lake.

Who has given 3/4 stars to this hotel?!? It's a scandal...Please don't go to Kakadu, we don't want that you repeat our mistake...That's enough, I think, is completely useless to list all the details...please ask to the big spiders (!) that were in our room or to the incompetent staff at the hotel, but, remember, you have to study Hungarian before...

The hotel is in a quiet area not far from the beach, about a 10 min walk. Longer walk to Keszthely. The ladies running the hotel speak English and really cared about my friend, who has allergies to certain foods. The food is simple but tasty. The breakfast also simple but tasty, not very much bacon and eggs though, plenty of toast and pastries, Bacon twice in the week. The indoor pool is excellent, the outdoor pool is cold even in 30 degree heat outside. The rooms are clean and include a little kitchenette. The bed is really comfortable.

My boyfriend and came across this hotel due to good tripadvisor ratings. For Hungarian standards one has to say it is ok (even though pricy when again considered that it is in Hungary (18900 HUF per night plus city tax). The receptionist when we came was friendly and informed us about the price and showed us the room upon request. The pool and sauna are functioning and clean, so are the rooms even though it is noisy at night (thin walls and loudly barking dogs). When we wanted to check out however another receptionist was there. No one told us about a city tax when we accepted the room. This would not have been a problem itself but we withdrew the exact amount from the ATM. She offered us to pay the city tax in Euros - which is nice on the first thought BUT she used this opportunity to RIPP US completely OFF. She tried to calculate the Euro amount giving us a conversion rate of 1 EUR = 260 HUF, however the course at this time was 314 HUF. Shameless, exchange bureaus offered a rate of 306. When I saw what she put in the calculator and got upset she changed it immediately to 300 adding the comment of ´we can also walk to Interspar and change it there´ what a shameless mean person!!! In the end she won a Euro but she lost good customers, I told her that but she was just smiling in a condescending way.
To sum up, if you need a cheap night and like some wellness it is an ok-place to go even though noisy (also the breakfast might disappoint you). But be prepared of the staff, they might try to ripp you off while smiling condescendingly in your face...

It is a really nice hotel. It has two inside pools (one of them is a jacuzzi), and one outside pool. The sauna is good, and you can take massage for a good price. Maybe the dinner was not enough, but it was also good. I recommend you to go there!
