We have just spent 7 nights of salsa and partying at the Retro. We paid about £210 for 7 nights full board and for that sort of money you wont get the Ritz. We had a fantastic time drinking cocktails into the early hours for less than £3 at the nightclub. you could eat as much as you wanted and...

The hotel is more than what the name indicates, it has actually frozen in time from the 70s, offering the same undisturbed absence of attention to customers or the readiness of the rooms. The grandiose spaces remind of an era of hope during heavy political conditions, and so do the naturally time tinted windows. The breakfast offers a real retro...

Terrible hotel! Don't stay there. An old lady is "barking" at you once you arrive. Doesnt speak any German or English. No friendliness at all, pure communistic time! The room: Dirty, the hallway, smelly, no towels or soap at the hotel. Can't believe that the owner doesn't care at all about this!

Visit only if you wanna experience Europe like it was back in 1945. Really, hotel horrible, rooms small and not clean, no towells in rooms, wallpapar in shower (?!) rude 60 yrs old receprionist, bar not working, not speaking any foreign language... only good thing about this hotel is location on the beach, otherwise definetly 'no go'.

Recently, whilst traveling through Hungary from Italy we needed a hotel room very quickly. We did some online searches for hotels in the Lake Balaton region and came across this one. We arrived at the hotel just before midnight and inquired if there were any rooms available. We were told that they did have two rooms available for my party....

The location close to the water couldn't be any better, and the water is fantastic. However, it is some of the worst service I've ever had, almost the entire staff is some lazy uneducated teenagers who barely speak English or Dutch. When you finally ask them a single question, like; how long will it take for the room to be...
