I spent three days in this fantastic accomodation with my family and it is highly recommended! The room is spacious enough, well equipped, bright and super silent in a very nice neighbourhood. Even if I can only say positive things about the accomodation itself, the best of this place is the service. The owner and his wife are friendly and nice with the guests and the food was amazing. The breakfast was included in the price and we also tried the restaurant for dinner and was a very good idea: delicious and not expensive. I wish we could have stayed more nights there!

The owner was very friendly. Although we arrived half an hour early he allowed let us check in. The room and the bathroom were clean, free Wi-Fi, free parking on the street (in a quiet area). Within walking distance to the town centre. Excellent breakfast. Recommended!

We stayed here for 2 nights and ate in the restaurant on our second night as it is closed on Mondays. The room is exactly as shown on the website-large, comfortable and clean. We also had a balcony (room 2). The food we had in the restaurant was just delicious-see the photos. My husband had the goose liver with orange/fig chutney and said it was the best meal he has ever eaten. Gyula (the owner) is very knowledgeable about wine and has a recommendation to go with all choices, he also brought us out some wines to taste-all from local vineyards-and all were very good. We each had three courses (plus Gyula brought us out a taste of his favourite dish-the deer goulash) plus rather a lot of wine, and a palinka (courtesy of Gyula) and it was excellent value. It is so nice to be in a place where the owners (Gyula's wife is the chef) are passionate about what they do.Not sure when we will be back in Hungary but a trip here will definitely be on our list. Very generous host. I wrote this review October 2018 but stupidly forgot to tick the terms and conditions box, hence the late post! Actually, we will be returning later this year.

Sopron is a very beautiful and peaceful town, and staying at Vadaszkurt gave us a very warm, cozy and homey feeling! The room is clean, and breakfast was just awesome!! We really love the homemade jam! We had dinner at the restaurant as well, and the roast duck, wine and dessert was absolutely delicious! Thank you Mr. Gyula for hosting us, it has been a great experience staying at Vadaszkurt!!

After a tiring morning walking around the centrum with my oversized 12kg backpack for the fire tower, the churches and the museums, I checked in around 2PM. The owner of the hotel, Mr. Bausz if I remember correctly, happily welcomed me in person and showed me the room despite that he was occupied in the restaurant. The room was spacious with a lovely balcony and all the facilities needed. In the evening I was not sure if I should go to the hotel restaurant since I have had some chips already, but I was glad that I did --- the halaszle (carp with veggie stew) was amazing, much better than the one I had in a famous restaurant in another city. The home style grilled chicken with mashed potato and fried veggie reminded me of my mom's cooking. I'd say these are the best food I had in my 3-week long trip in Central Europe. When I have a chance to go back to Sopron, I would not consider other hotels. This is the hospitality you will deeply appreciate on a long trip.

I visited the town on business, my company booked me a room in this B&B. When I arrived, I could not find the entrance, there is no sign. I went into the restaurant that bears the same name as the accomodation. I did not see anybody. I went in again a few minutes later. There was this guy, the owner as I gathered,I cannot say he was very welcoming. He showed me to my room. I had to follow him, out into the street, into the garden, up a flight of stairs, then another one. I was carrying my heavy luggage, he did not bother to take it from me, even seemed a bit impatient as I could not keep up with his speed. The room was really big, not very clean though(see my photos). Breakfast - some more awkward moments. I had no idea how things worked, had to wait about five minutes to be seated when the same guy appeared and asked what I wanted for breakfast. I asked for an omlette, received scrambled eggs. Did not complain, it was delicious. All in all a weird experience. I had the feeling that this man woke up one morning thinking he wants to run a B&B. He has no idea how to do it.

Tons of thanks send to his incredible host! This is second time I stayed here. Nice place. Nice food. Not far from Sopron downtown. Wifi is fast. If you on driving trip, you can park here too. Between Vienna-Budapest Sopron is a good choice for dropped. This is a small hidden gem town in Hungary.
