This hostel doesn't hide the fact that its situated in some grim soviet-era concrete housing blocks. The place is dirty and has poor facilities but I appreciated the fact that they made this clear from the start. Its depressingly bleak and situated pretty far away from anywhere useful but if staying here will save you money its ok so long...

Before I delve into this review please note I was bagpacking through Europe with my Girlfriend & I'm generally used to staying in hotels. This hostel had a certain "charm" it certainly was the cheapest hostel we stayed in at just €17 per person per night for a private twin, with shared bathroom, we soon realised however why is was...

The building is huge and it's in really east europe communism style. During the year it is student's dormitory, but you can meet there many slovakian young people in summer. Outside is big meadow - people are tanning, play volleyball, basketball. Staff make some grill parties. I reccommend the small cafe-restaurant for students in the next building. Definetelly worth to...

So, Red Star. Easy to find. Close to the centre, it takes 7 minutes by tram to get there. The rooms are simple, but nice. Clean bedsheet and bathroom. Staff is extremely helpful and really friendly. They will always find you a way to spend free time. You can also spend time with them at the reception and have a...

Hostelbookers.com (Hostelz.com) allowed my friend to book this hostel for our group friends, during January. But it's not even open during this time!!! Most of the year it is University student accommodation. For starters, it's in the middle of nowhere, in a dimly-lit industrial area. Just a petrol station close by who pointed us at the University building. We turned-up...
